hi! I’ve only tried shifting once, but wowowow was it cool! I have a few questions- are you supposed to imagine you moving in your dr, or do you lucid dream in your dr? Sorry if it’s a stupid question, I just really wanna do this right :]
Hi! I actually didn't quite understand your question but I'll try to answer you anyway <3.
If you're asking me how a shifting attempt works then it depends on the method you choose (which isn't necessary, you can also do what makes you feel more confident and figure out what works better for you). You can use visualization, then "imagine" yourself in your DR and observe the details, remembering the smells, sensations, etc. And you can also use the lucid dream method (which I link you).
However, if your question was whether shifting is a lucid dream, the answer is absolutely not. Your DR is completely real, just like your CR. We don't create our own DRs, we choose them between infinite possibilities and they are real lives, realities in which we already exist. If you want a post that explains this concept better you can ask <3.
Finally I would like to tell you that there is no "right way" or "wrong way" to shift. It's a personal journey, and it's different for everyone. The only thing I highly recommend is to inform you very well, not about the methods, but about shifting in general, what it is and how it works.
I hope this helped <3.

onestly we all know that when we'll shift we'll be like "oh, it was really that easy."
shifttok is so obsessed with rationalizing shifting. literally everything they say is trying to justify why they didnt shift.
"i didnt shift last night because i just said affirmations and went to sleep" BITCH. people do that ALL THE TIME and they DO shift
"i didnt shift because i put my dr on a pedestal" people put their dream colleges on a pedestal. THEY STILL GO TO THOSE COLLEGES make it make sense
"i didnt shift because blah blah blah" bro.. you didnt shift because you're imposing these rules upon yourself that didnt exist in the first place.
think about it. you're jogging on a clear path at a nice pace, you know that you're gonna get to your destination soon. SUDDENLY you start putting down hurdles you have to jump over and holes that you have to avoid. does that make sense to you?
you can shift. everybody can shift. i spent literally 4 years trying to figure out how to shift when i already knew. fucking take a breather and just do what feels right.
the first time i shifted i turned on a sub and went to sleep. no affirmations, no method.
"i dont like doing affirmations, i get distracted." then dont! no one said u needed to
"i have trouble focusing on my method and i keep wandering off" then do that! just let go
you will shift because thats just what happens. this isnt some superpower. instead of searching for the key, realize that you are the key.

Everytime i focus on shifting i get so close to where I can sometimes physically feel or hear my dr and then it all suddenly stops, what can I do?
Hi<3, being able to hear or feel your DR is a very positive "symptom", it means you are becoming aware in the reality where you want to shift. The only thing I can think of to recommend is to stay focused on your method (if you use one) or at least continue to focus on what you were doing until that moment . I'm sure you're very close to shift! Do what you feel like doing without forcing yourself too much, if you have already gotten this far it will come by itself. Follow your instincts and focus on what you are doing! These are just advices, do what you feel is right for you <3.

What can I do to shift I have been trying for 6 years and nothing has worked. So what can I do to shift.
Hi! It is important to specify that the journey is different for each person and no one other than ourselves can tell us what to do to shift. In any case, without knowing your journey I can't help but give you some advice.
First of all, if you have never done it, I reiterate how important it is and how helpful it can be to reprogram your mindset in your journey. You can find the post where I talk about it here. Reprogramming your mindset can help both beginners and people who have known shifting for a long time.
Another thing that can help a lot is meditation. Many shifters recommend meditating every day even for a few minutes or during your method. You can find guided meditations specifically for shifting on YouTube.
I recommend trying different methods, giving them time to understand if they are right for you (maybe 1 month) and then moving on to the next. It might be a great idea to create your own method based on own preferences. In fact, let's remember that the method doesn't make us shift, but we do it, and therefore being comfortable with the method we use is very important. For example, if someone has difficulty visualizing, they can try other methods that do not include visualization, and above all, those that make them more confident and at ease.
Try to understand if you have any mental blocks. They are often fears caused by misinformation or binding thoughts, but above all self-confidence. Identifying the problem is always the first step to solving it.
Connect to your DR, in any way you want, and remember not to see it as something imaginary or extraordinary, but on par with this reality and all others. The people inside it they are real, not characters. Above all, by scripting we must know that we are not modifying reality, we are only selecting it.
The way we talk to ourselves about shifting influences us on our journey. I stopped saying "I'm going to try to shift" for two years now. In its place I say "tonight I shift". Not believing in what you are doing and dispersing negativity because we don't have faith in ourselves and in our journey only makes things worse.
Relying on others (as you do in the question you asked me) is wrong if we talk about this topic! Only we can influence our journey, and no one else. Nobody can make us shift. But we are the only ones who can commit because it depends only on us.
Informing yourself about shifting is very important, in fact misinformation only complicates our journey and makes us assume totally wrong beliefs.
Finally, the last thing I would advise you is to commit to your journey. We can't lie in bed and wait for something to happen. We are the ones who have to make it happen. If you need a break, take it, then come back stronger than before.
That's all, I hope I have been helpful, remember that if 6 years have passed it means that you have already done a lot in your journey and you can't go back, but only move forward and improve! Good luck shifter!

REPROGRAM YOUR MINDSET TO SHIFT
Before we start, hi, I'm Elisabeth and this is my blog about shifting. You will find my contents here.
I often see many shifters struggle in their shifting journey even just believing in what they are trying to achieve. And I know that you too, at least once in your journey have doubted what you were doing and cried over your apparent "inability". These types of thoughts, however silly, act as blocks in our journey, which make our approach to shifting much more difficult.
We often see these limiting thoughts in the comments or posts of our community, such as "I can't shift, ugh!" or "please tell me it's not just an inside joke".
It's obvious that it's not, and it's normal to have doubts about your own journey, but it's not right to cast them on others. I often see people who are insecure about shifting and feel sorry for themselves and seek constant reassurance. But they aren't the ones that will help you. Good work on your mindset, however, could be very useful for your journey.
So instead of feeling sorry for yourself and doing nothing because it's easier, start reprogramming your mindset to have a good shifting journey.
So here is a guide on how to reprogram your mindset to shift. I recommend it to all beginners and to anyone who believes they have a mental block that prevents them from shifting.
In any case, my personal advices for reprogramming your mindset are:
find your limiting thoughts, the ones you want to replace;
find out about the topics you understand least. Information is always useful for establishing concepts;
repeat positive affirmations about your journey and abilities (especially early in the morning and before going to sleep);
write positive affirmations in a notebook or phone notes:
do not contradict your positive affirmations (even in your head);
ask questions to your favorite shifters;
work on your confidence;
be part of a healthy community and avoid the type of negative content you are trying to eliminate from your journey;
most important of all is to commit to your own journey, because it's the direct demonstration of what you believe in.
If you need it, take a short break to create your strong and positive mindset. Sometimes it can be important to admit to yourself that you need a break.
I hope this post was helpful, good luck shifters!

SYMPTOMS IN SHIFTING
Before we start, for those who don't know me, hi, I'm Elisabeth and this is my blog about shifting. You'll find here my contents.
There is a lot of misinformation about the symptoms when we talk about shifting, so I decided to make some clarifications about it, to make the topic clearer to you.
FIRST OF ALL symptoms do not make the shift.
It is important to start by saying that there are people who don't have any symptoms during the shift, and others who clearly perceive them.
This does NOT mean that those who have it are doing well and those who don't are doing it wrong. Many people shift without symptoms.
Symptoms do not affect the shift and are not necessary at all.
It is also possible that sometimes you have them and other times you don't. And it's perfectly normal! Your journey is going well even if you've never had symptoms, because we don't need them to shift.
Having said this, we can now get to the point of talking about what is most confusing in the shifting community.
THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN SLEEP SYMPTOMS (THE BODY FALLING ASLEEP) AND SHIFTING SYMPTOMS
These two things are often confused so here's a little differentiation.
We know that the most likely times to shift are when our mind is active and our body falls asleep. It may happen, therefore, while we use our method to try to shift, that we perceive symptoms that can easily be mistaken for shifting symptoms when they only indicate that our body is falling asleep.
So here are two small lists of different symptoms (attention, each symptom is personal, you don't necessarily have to have all of them or just these, they vary a lot from person to person).
SOME SHIFTING SYMPTOMS
feeling dizzy (like spinning);
feeling vibrate (not to be confused with shivers);
feeling pressure (often in the head or ears);
see a strong white light/flashing light;
feeling your ears ringing;
feeling floating;
feeling your environment/surroundings change (it's a sensation but you can also perhaps perceive a different temperature...);
if you use subliminals you would hear them fade away.
SOME SLEEP SYMPTOMS
no longer feeling certain parts of the body (we are still so those areas fall asleep);
feeling shiver;
tiredness.
These are just the symptoms that came to mind, in any case I leave you some videos that explain shifting symptoms.
LAST BUT NOT LEAST, good advice to deal with symptoms is to ignore them and focus on your own method. Try not to pay attention to them.
what symptoms are / ignore symptoms / no symptoms
I hope this post was useful and clarified your ideas, good luck shifters!

MY SHIFTING JOURNEY
For those who don't know me hi, I'm Elisabeth and this is my blog about shifting. The purpose of this blog is to share my journey and avoid misinformation, also accompanying you on your journey!
Now let's talk about my journey, how it started and how it's going.
I learned about shifting in 2020, on shiftok, when there was still a lot of misinformation about it. I immediately became interested in the topic and made my first attempts to shift in a DR of Harry Potter. I remember that I mainly used the raven method with special subliminals for my DR. After a while the first breaks began, because I tried to shift every night and this took a lot of energy from me.
During my breaks I started to become better informed, study the information we have and started to understand what was holding me back from shifting (mainly mental blocks). It happened to me that I wanted to shift, but was blocked and at that moment I understood that I had to take my journey back into control, so I forced myself to unblock myself, because I knew I wanted it. And guess what? I had my first two shifting symptoms (to be differentiated from the symptoms of body falling asleep, a distinction I may make a post on) three years after the first attempt. This motivated me a lot because it showed me for the first time the progress that was taking place in my journey.
I realized later that I needed to reprogram my mindset, and it was the best choice I could have made. This has changed my perspective on shifting a lot and I still recommend it to beginners today.
The first time I had a symptom it happened like this: I had just woken up and it was morning, there was a lot of light in my room and my mother had to tell me some things, so after listening to her I got back into bed to sleep again. I remember thinking "I'll try to shift later" and then I just let my mind wander over my thoughts until I lost control of them. I only realize now that I had some sort of REM activation. At a certain point, however, while I was thinking and my body was falling asleep again, I started to feel dizzy, while I saw colored lights (I think this was the result of my thoughts) e I started thinking "fuck I'm shifting!" and repeating these phrases to myself in distraught while I continued to feel symptoms. Out of emotion I decided to open my eyes so as not to shift and I got up in my CR. All of this happened while there were noises in the room, lights, and even my mother going back and forth. I was in a simple comfortable position. This experience it totally freed me from the fear that the external environment could influence my shifting experience. The reality is that the only thing that matters is really us.

Some little informations about my routine etc
DRs: just Hogwarts for now, the same since I began my journey.
Scripts: I started with a paper one but now I use the Lifa App on the play store.
Methods: at the moment I'm trying one that I heard explained by a shiftoker which involves a meditation of about 10 minutes, then a sort of countdown from 100 to 0 with affirmations, and finally the use of the 5 senses to perceive the room (and focus only on that and not on the entire DR) where you want to wake up. I also want to try REM activation.
That's it, if you have any questions you can comment or leave them in the box, even write them to me in dm. Soon I will post explanations of some methods or some things that have been useful so far in my journey. Good luck shifters, trust yourselves!

This!
We simply have to accept that healing is a part of the process and that breaks are sometimes necessary to recharge and regain energy. Remember that shifting takes a lot of energy. Personally I started seeing results in my shifting journey after a good break. When you feel the need to recharge, don't worry about getting one! Eventually, however, we must also take our journey back into our own hands and not procrastinate.
just a friendly reminder that taking shifting breaks is completely fine and can even help the process. shifting won't just magically go away. it's alright to put it on the back burner. it's alright to take days or even months off at a time. shifting will always be there for when you need it.

Welcome to my shifting blog!
(Here is a small introduction and the rules of my profile<3)
Hello shifters!
I'm Elisabeth, and this blog is supposed to help y'all during your shifting journey!
First, let's talk about my shifting journey.
My journey began 3 years ago, although there were many rest breaks in it. I managed to get out of a block a few weeks ago and started my journey again. After three years I started to have the first developments in my journey with symptoms (feeling dizzy, feeling vibrate), and I decided to open this blog to support other shifters in their journey.
Btw I shift at Hogwarts.
~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-~-
Now let's go to the rules of my blog
(which I specify to maintain mutual respect and create a safe place for shifters).
ANTI-SHIFTERS DNI WITH MY BLOG. This is not the place to come and vent. I'm not interested in changing your mind or anything like that, and I'm not going to waste my time arguing with anyone. Anyone who bothers by interacting negatively with this blog will simply be blocked. Do yourself a favor and save your time for more productive activities!
RESPECT IS NECESSARY FOR A BASIC CONVERSATION. I do not tolerate disrespect towards myself or towards other shifters on this blog, respect should be the basis of all human communication.
DON'T BE PASSIMIST ABOUT YOUR JOURNEY. I don't want to read people in this blog who feel sorry for themselves because they can't shift. The first thing you need to have to shift is a positive mindset. We know that anyone is capable to do it, and everyone has their own times. Convincing you that you're not capable just because it's the easiest thing to do than committing to your journey is not the type of interaction I want to see on this blog.
Tumblr media
Having said that, I hope that this blog can be of help or reference for your journey. I intend to post explanations, methods, motivations and try to avoid misinformation on the topic, which is now very developed.
If you have any questions you can always leave them in the box and I will take the time to answer everyone. I only ask you not to go out of context shifting<3
Happy shifting to everyone and follow my blog if you are interested in the subject!
