Quiet love 3/?
Tumblr media
The things went down from there. You avoided him more than ever while your grieved your friendship and your unrequited love. It was a big loss, so much that you asked money from your parents for a deposit. You contacted the external friend Lydia told you about, and she was looking for a roommate. Her name was Grace and she sounded kind by the phone. You didn't thought it was so bad. Since Justin was preparing for the games he was busy but you could tell he was avoiding you too and that hurt you even more. You stopped having dinner together and it was more like you hiding in your room or arriving late.
When you saw him, you were polite and distant.
The dynamic was killing you inside.
You started packing your things when Grace told you the previous roomate was leaving. You signed the lease to secure your exit. It was time to put your big girl pants.
One day your mom video called you, and she was worried.
"You don't feel comfortable in his house?" she asked.
"It's not that...I need my space. I can't be living in his house forever, mom" you explained. She bite her lip. "Please, respect my decisions"
"That's ok, but I don't want you to go homeless"
You laughed. "Don't worry about that"
"Holly wanted to talk to you" she lowered his voice. "She is worried about Justin"
You felt as if someone was throwing a bucket of cold water on you.
"Why?"
"Justin hasn't answer any calls or messages from anyone since a week ago. She didn't want to panic because the NFL is rough but that's a lot of time. And since you are living with him she wanted you to check on him" your mom explained. "Maybe the stress of the game is taking a toll on him"
You blinked. The Chargers weren't exactly winning but it wasn't that bad. They had a good record.
"Yeah, don't worry. I'm going to check on him"
"And how you are doing, darling?"
You smiled through the pain.
"Good I like my new job" you started "And California is great, I meet..."
You told your mom everything about the courses and your discoveries, but you mind was on Justin.
When you finished the call, you sent him a message. He was traveling for an away game so it was less likely to answer you but you tried anyway.
Hello
Your mom is worried bout you.
Be a good son and send her a message pls
For your suprise, he replied within minutes. It was ten pm.
I'll do
Thank you
The three dots appeared, and you looked at the screen expecting something but after a couple of seconds it stopped. And you heart broke more.
Losing a friend fucking sucks.
***
On Sunday, Justin got injured during the game. So you were worried about him and decided to stay a couple of days just to see how he was doing. You told Grace and Lydia about delaying moving in.
You were doing a favor to Holly and Mark while they arrived to L.A. His manager, Ashley was in the house at times too. You met a lot of people from his world. Coaches, therapists and assistants.
You realize how important he was for the team.
They always looked at you in surprise then look at Justin like saying "Who's this chick?" it was uncomfortable, but he never told them you were his friend or his lover either. You were just Y/N.
You made him breakfast often. The doctor was optimistic about the injury, he could move and do many things, but he was grumpy most of the time. Being out of the game was one of the things he hated the most. You helped him to stand up and drive him to the facility for his therapy.
"If you need something send me a message" you said, he was in the kitchen eating breakfast.
"Thank you"
"You welcome"
His eyes were speaking but you couldn't decipher the words.
"The boxes...are you leaving?" he struggled to say.
Did he checked your room? Why? Why does he always act like he cares?
"Yeah, I found a nice aparment"
"I- well, were you comfortable here?" his expression was unreadable.
"Yes, thank you for letting me stay" you grabbed your bag and looked at the clock. "Ashley must be here at anytime. I should go to work, you can change your diaper yourself, right?" you joked.
The truth was the injury made you feel less angry with him. It didn't matter that he didn't want you back, you didn't like to see him suffer. He was still an important person in your life, no matter how painful was to look at him now.
And you promise in middle school to have each other's backs.
"Yes, I'm an expert now" he replied, following the joke. You lingered in your place for a couple of seconds, just to see if he said something, but nope. So you said goodbye and left the house.
When you arrive at noon, Holly and Mark were there. You were so happy to see them too.
"Oh, it is so nice to see you again" you hugged them, feeling relieved.
"Look at you" said Holly at your attire. A pencil skirt and a blazer, both in purple color "You look stunning"
That night you put your best act. Nobody could tell Justin and you weren't speaking to each other days ago. And you were glad to have more familiar faces around.
You were talking about your impressions of California, and Justin didn't speak so much. Maybe he wanted to rest since he looked tired.
"She found an apartment too" Justin added, and he sounded so bitter it made you frown.
Holly and Mark looked at you.
"Wow, it is expensive?" Mark asked.
"Not that expensive"
"Did Justin told you something?" Holly asked, looking at his son.
"Not, not at all. It was just time"
"I bet"
Justin was glaring at you, and you didn't understood why he was mad. Maybe he was feeling pain again. You didn't want to deal with his mood swings.
"You should go to sleep a little bit" you suggested, in a cold tone.
The rubbed his eyes and nodded.
"I'm tired" he sighed.
The mood shifted. You felt the tension in your spine and tried to rescue the night.
"Everyone must be tired" you said, standing up and picking up the plates. "You come from a long travel from Oregon" you said to Justin's parents "You better sleep a little bit"
His parents imitated you, but you noticed Mark side-eyed Justin with disapproval.
****
In the morning, you were preparing in your room for work when someone knocked your door.
It was Justin in all his splendor. Looking grumpy as ever.
"Can we talk?"
"Sure" you said without looking at him.
He got inside and closed the door.
"Are you parents up?" you asked, putting lipstick on in front of the mirror.
That morning you were feeling better. Justin's parents always put you in a good mood.
The boxes were still sealed in the corner of your room. When he didn't replied you turned around to look at him. He was fidgeting with the hem of his Nike shirt.
"Is everything alright?" you prompted.
"Yeah...no, no really" You tilted your head to one side, looking at him up and down. "I'm sorry"
The apology landed in a sore spot.
"For what?" you were using the profesional voice you use for clients. His behavior last night was unacceptable. Ridiculous.
"For lying to you" you frowned "I know, I've always know but I was scared and I'm so sorry for being a coward. And for last night too, I was a douche"
"W-what are you talking about?" you asked, referring to the first part of his speech.
"I like you...I like you since highschool or even before, I don't know" he admitted, quickly.
You stopped breathing for a second, your organs melting inside your body.
"Why did you tell me you weren't sure?" you were cautious. At first you didn't believe him, you needed to prevent any type of miscommunication.
"Because I was scared" he explained, walking three steps toward you only to stop suddenly. You didn't move an inch "I...my lifestyle makes me feel like I can't be in a relationship, I'm busy all the time. I don't want you to feel neglected. It's just that...I wasn't ready for the change"
You studied his words and expression, he sounded and looked sincere.
He got closer again, reaching for you like a giant lost kid.
"Are you ready for the change now?" you asked, not processing completely what was happening.
"Yes, yes I am" he touched your shoulder, and you noticed he was shaking slightly. Poor Justin.
You grinned, standing on your tiptoes to hug him carefully. He hug you back, hiding his face on the curve of your neck.
"Justin, do-do you like me?" you wanted to hear him once again. Only to know you weren't dreaming. You looked at him "Is this happening?"
"Yes, I like you"
"Why do you decide to tell me now?"
"My dad sensed something was off and talked to me" he said "I just needed to hear it from someone I trust"
"Hear what?"
"What I'm losing by letting you go"
"I'm going to say thank you to him" he laughed. His expression morphed into something serious, desire. His pretty green eyes scanned your face for a sign, his eyes lingered on your lips. A silent plea. You leaned forward, and he tilt his head only to brush his lips against yours. The warm of his lips sent a shiver down your spine, and you put your hand on his chest to steady yourself. You could feel how fast his heart was beating. The butterflies in your stomach fluttered aggressively.
He did it again, only to make sure you weren't running away. In the third, his pretty mouth landed on yours, and you opened your lips. Kissing Justin felt right all the way. He was careful at the beginning, but as the time pass you needed more. You tongue search for his, and he gave you all you wanted. You fist his shirt, dragging him down to your height.
"Oh my god!" Holly's voice startled you both. You separate, your cheeks burning red. You glance at Justin who was looking the same. "I-I made breakfast, guys" she said, hiding a smile.
"Thanks, mom" Justin said in the most causal tone he could gather.
"I'll wait for you in the kitchen"
When she was gone, you touched your lips. Justin had lipstick on his lips too. You laughed and he looked at you confused.
"You look good with that tone" you said, looking for a wipe. He looked in your mirror and frowned. You gave him the wipe so he could clean himself.
The breakfast was kinda uncomfortable. Holly was trying to act cool, but you were nervous.
"Are you guys dating?" Mark asked, by looking at your face.
"Yes" Justin said, eating bacon.
His answer made you happy. Was this really happening? He sounded so confident about it.
"About time! I'm calling your mom!' announced Holly only to be stopped by Mark.
You knew your mom made some gestures toward Justin indicating her likeness for him as your partner, but you never expect Holly to like you too.
It was heart-warming.
"Once Justin is recovered you should go to the games, using his number and everything" Holly suggested. You were at some games before, wearing the colors of the team, but never official merchandise (you weren't the most fan) but the idea of being there as his partner was terrifying and exciting at the same time.
Justin looked at you with warmness in his eyes. And you swore he was the most beautiful man in the world.
The idea of dating him was the best.

Quiet love 2/?
For this chapter I highly recommend to listen Ariana's song - we can't be friends - to get in the mood
Tumblr media
And yet, Justin wasn't the type to make a move. So, you were screwed up.
"I had a great night" you said, heading toward your room. "What are you plans tomorrow?"
"I'm gonna go golfing with the guys"
You nodded.
"Have fun"
"We can have dinner here" he added.
"Yeah, sounds good"
And the sudden thought caught off guard. Did his friends knew about you? Tate knew because it was obvious. But people here in LA knew?
"Justin, your friends know about me?" you asked, regretting it at the moment.
He frowned, confused.
"What do you mean?"
"Your friends in L.A, not in Eugene"
"I don't think they care or why they should know?"
"Because it makes me feel unwelcome. The fact the you prefer to hide our friendship"
"That's not true" he argued "I don't want nosey people in my life, our friendship is something I treasure"
"And what's wrong with people knowing about me?"
"I want privacy in my life"
"I'm not going to spill anything"
"It's not about that!" he raised his voice, frustrated. You flinched and he ran his hand through his hair with exasperation. "The fanatics are crazy. And I don't want people stalking you, telling you insults and threatening you when things aren't pretty during the season"
You stayed in silence. You were arguing before bed again. How funny.
"I'm not talking about the fans, I'm talking about your teammates, people you know here in L.A"
He gulped, and crossed his arms against his wide chest.
"Mmm it's not common to present a friend" he said, suddenly shy "Only girlfriends and wives"
"Only...oh" you felt dumb, of course you wanted a space reserved for another person.
You let out a sigh. You were so stupid.
So, so stupid.
"Well, that's clarifying" you said, trying not to cry.
Really? Crying because your friend is your friend and gives you friend treatment? Then why...why he does those things that confuse your brain? Why he treats you so nice, invite you dinner and let you stay all the time you want? Made you feel wanted and loved?
You felt your eyes burn and blinked to keep the tears away.
"Are you ok?" he said, worried getting closer to you. You gave a step back, and he looked hurt.
"Yeah, it's...summer allergies I think"
"You don't have allergies"
"Mmm L.A weather is intense" you changed the topic. You looked at your room's door and bite your lip "I'm tired, see you tomorrow"
"Wait..." he call you but you were closing the door already.
Needless to say you couldn't sleep so much that night.
You couldn't stop thinking about what would happen if you tell him the truth. You dreamed about him a lot. You dreamed about his affections changing its course and realizing it has been you the whole time. You wanted to be his special person because he was yours. He was yours since childhood. He was yours since the gave you a Star Wars band-aid when you scraped your knee playing or when you searched for frogs during your walks in Oregon. He was yours during the Christmas exchange, and the family meetings. And what would you do with all your affection if he said no?
The thought made you cry harder.
You were bleeding your love at 3 am.
The next day, you avoided him like a plague. Yes, it was childish and immature but you couldn't look him in the eye without feeling a turmoil of emotions inside you, good and bad. If you dare to look at him you would started crying or threw him a shoe. You went straight to work, and since you seemed in distress you co-worker, Lydia asked you what's up.
You tell the story, his name was omitted in purpose. All the emotions, his behavior, your confusion, your friendship. At the end of your story, she wasn't happy.
"I'm sorry, but I think you should put your big girl pants and ask him" she said, sounding rational "it's not healthy for you staying in a situation like that. Pretty cool of him letting you stay, but if it's something bothering you, you should talk to him. The worse thing that can happened it's knowing you can't prolonged that situation anymore"
"How am I suppose to do that?"
"Hey, I think I catch feelings for you but we really haven't spoke about it so tell what do you feel so I can make decisions "
"I'm not brave like that " you regretted.
"You must, baby. You are dying in a "what if"
"But he is my friend, I don't want to lose him" it was true, you had so much story.
"It's better for you. You deserved to be loved by someone without limitations"
You were crying at that point, feeling pathetic.
"If he says no, where am I going to stay?"
"I have a friend who is looking for a roommate, the apartment it's closer to work, so you don't need a car" she said, compassionate about you.
"Can you send me the number?" you cried.
"Yeah"
When you arrived at the house he was in the kitchen which surprise you because you purposely took the longer route. He should be sleeping by now. WHY HE WASN'T SLEEPING?
You said the driest "hi" and went to your room. You felt his stare burning your skin. Your heart beating so fast you were scared of having a heart attack.
You changed your clothes for something more comfy, you grabbed a book and sat on your bed to start reading. You were two chapters in when Justin knocked your door.
"Come in"
He appeared, in grey pants and a blue shirt.
"If you are hungry there tacos and soup" he said "Keenan's wife made it"
"Thank you" you said, still reading your book. Words didn't make sense but it was better than look at him because it was painful. He leaned at the door.
"Can we talk?" he asked. You stomach twisted.
You feelings were to intense after the talk with Lydia, but what she said it was true. You were dying of uncertainty.
"About what?"
"About...us" he replied.
You gulped, and it was like passing a stone through your throat.
"Okay"
He moved again, somehow staying in the same position. He put his hands in his pockets then decided it was better to cross his arms. You waited patiently.
"Are you mad at me?" you sighed.
"No, Justin" your voice was soft but firm. Good.
"Yesterday you were mad" he stated, you didn't blink. "What did I do?"
"Nothing" you felt like someone was cutting through your chest to get your heart out. "I'm more annoyed with myself than with you"
"Why?"
Why it was so difficult to talk about it?
"I misinterpreted our situation" you voice trembled and you cursed at yourself for being so weak around this man.
His face was blank. The same face he puts when a journalist ask a stupid question.
"How so?"
Oh, dear. If you could only talk without fucking crying. It was happening, wasn't it? Revealing your feelings and potentially losing a friend.
You were so scared.
You deserve a love without limitations.
"Gosh, Justin. I came here, you lend me your car, you bought me pickles, you treat me like more than a friend and then you say you want me to stay..." saying it out loud made you feel worse. It was nothing, it was kindness. It was friendship, wasn't it? "I... I know we haven't seen each other in years so I thought...I thought that you may feel something for me as I feel for you"
His throat bubbled. His gaze was on the floor.
Of course, how could you forgot? He was a man.
"I don't know what to say" he started. "You know, my work, my life is very different from yours"
What the actual fuck? What was he trying to say? Was a Mr Darcy type of proposal?
"Justin tell me the truth, do you like me back? Yes or no?" You asked, getting angry. You didn't deserved such disrespect. If he didn't like you back, well you would deal the heartbreak but prolonging these feelings until the end of season and beyond was madness.
"I'm not sure" he replied, you almost didn't hear him.
But it was all you needed to know. You exhaled deeply, feeling all the emotions at once. Luckily your face remain blank, you grabbed the sheet with such force your knuckles turned white.
"I guess... that's ok" you looked at your watch only to see it wasn't night yet. "Well, I'm going to continue with my original plans" you opened your book again trying to play it cool not reading a damn word "If you need something send a message"
"What do you mean?"
You raised your eyebrows in confusion.
"By original plans?" he prompted.
"Moving out, I mean" you replied not glancing once. You were acting petty, but he just said he didn't like you back. Of course you were ashamed, angry and desesperately in love.
"Oh, alright" he looked around, not even giving you a glance.
His short answer was like a stab in your heart. Sometimes he was so cruel, but he had the right to feel what he was feeling too. You could not force him to like you and that was even worse. Your eyes were burning, tears blurring your vision.
"Good night" he had the audacity to say before leaving.
And when he closed the door, was like closing all the posibilities you had to be something for him. Throwing years of friendship only because you misread him.
And you felt so so stupid. Of course you were only his friend. How could you even think to be more than a friend? He was Justin Herbert, young, rich, athletic. He had all the options in the world, why he would settle for you?
You started crying, leaving all those emotions out.
Just another sleepless night.

Quiet love 1/?
Hello, this is a mini serie of Justin Herbert. More than whole chapters are like meaningful moments in their relatioship. I hope you like it.
Tumblr media
You knew Justin since childhood, both of you were quiet souls that's why you got along. Despite some differences, your friendship was something stable until the last years of highschool when you move to another city. Even though, you still keep in contact with him. He kept you in knowledge of his family in Eugene, as well as your family. You talked to him about your career, you new friend, how cold it was during winter. Until he got drafted you messaged each other every day. Justin's life change a lot, and he was busy most of the time. He just sent you messages saying: "Sorry" "Meeting" "Sorry I'm busy" And you understood. You weren't a priority in his life. You saw him in person a couple of times before finishing your career, and he was bulkier, stronger and leaving the child-face you liked so much. Still, he was a freak clean, and avoided people like a plague. On the other hand, you were so introvert like you used to. He noticed and was happy for you but you could tell he felt uneasy about that. His childhood friend changed, and the woman talking to him was different. During a meeting between the two families because both of you were back in Eugene, you were almost finished with your career and a great job opportunity appeared in LA. So you were stressed out for the living cost, and talking about this with Mark and Holly they suggested to stay in Justin's house until you got on your feet and could afford an apartment. Justin who was listening in silence, gulped his food and raised and eyebrow. "I mean, she's your friend and you are never there" Holly argued, smiling "And you have extra bedrooms" You looked at Justin puzzled. He didn't look happy or mad about the idea, just pensative. Maybe would be uncomfortable for him? What if he has a girlfriend or fwb situation? You didn't want him to stop doing whatever he was doing. It was his house. For sure, you would struggle a little bit like you did in Michigan but you could cope. "I don't think that's..." "...yeah, sure..." you said at the same time. You looked at each other, and you giggled. "I don't want to bother" you replied, looking at Holly. Somehow looking at him was difficult. You were a single girl, you had eyes. You couldn't ignore how fucking big and handsome he was. During highschool he was somehow lanky, during college he started gaining muscle and fat but now? He was a wall. A strong, warm and nerdy wall. The way his back muscles move under that Nike shirt, his waist and pecs. His big calloused hands... You blinked those sinful thoughts away. Thinking that way led to nowhere. "It's going to be temporary" his mother argued. "Yeah, the house has an extra bedroom I don't use" he added, more convinced this time. You looked at your parents who were talking with Mark and his girlfriend on the other side of the table. They trusted Justin more than any other man in your life. "Are you sure?" you asked Justin. His slinted eyes under that light were blue. "Yeah, no problem" he said, but you noticed the way his throat bubbled.
***
The job was yours. And you cried and celebrate and cried again. Leaving your life in Michigan was the most difficult thing. You met wonderful people along the way and couldn't believe that chapter in your life was ending. Of course you cried when you arrived at L.A. According to Justin, it was the preseason so he could skip a meeting to go and pick you up. You refused arguing that you could take a taxi or Uber but he insisted. You were looking for the gate when you saw him. He was outstanding. He dressed casual, with his cap and sunglasses that belonged to a old man. You felt the urge to drop everything and ran into his arms like the movies but this blonde man was you childhood friend. Don't friends hug like that though? He didn't saw you until you were meters apart. Looking down, you saw the corners of his lips lift a little bit. "Hey" he said. "Hey" you smiled at him. And without thinking for a second you hug him tight. "I can't believe I'm here" you explained feeling emotional, you gave two step away to look at him. "I mean, I know I'm here but... it's been a long travel" A long time. A lot of change. A lot of everything. "It's seems. I'm happy you're here" he said, looking at your luggage. Three suitcases and your backpack. "Let's go" said taking your luggage from you. You didn't say anything more than thank you because you really didn't want to carry anything. You went to the parking lot and found his very nice car. He put the bigger suitcases in the back. L.A was sunny, looking like a beautiful day. You saw an airplane in the sky flying to who knows where. Surreal. You caught a glimpse of Justin who was looking at you. With his glasses on he was a mistery, so you just grinned at him. "You ready?" He croaked. "Yes, sir"
*** Justin house wasn't a mansion, but it was big for a man living alone. There was a pool, and the green doors and interior remind you to his parents' house in Oregon. Justin always needed something familiar around him to feel grounded. New places felt uneasy for him, and changed was something he always struggled as a child. You supposed that changed when he entered the league because every year was different. Apparently not. "This is your room" he said opening a door. It was spacious and the bed looked comfy "It has its on bathroom and closet" You nodded. "Thank you so much for letting me stay. I'll try to cause the least trouble possible" he frowned at your last words, but you ignore him. Looking at the window amazed by the sight of the pool and the garden. "The cleaning lady comes twice a week. I tell her you are here" he explained. "Can I use the pool?" You heard a "meow" and flinched. A bengal cat appeared between Justin's legs, purring. "Oh, sorry. This is Nova" he said fondly. The cat looked at you with her big green eyes and walked away, uninterested. "Yes, you can" he answered to your question. You lock eyes for a few seconds. "Thank you again" "No problem" he shrugged. "No, seriously. I'm invading your privacy and eating all your food" he snorted at you. "You're my friend" he replied, running his hand through his hair avoiding your gaze. "I'm happy to see you again" you stated. He didn't say a word. Only look at the floor for a few seconds before nodding. "I let you unpack. I'm going to order some sushi, it's that alright?" "Perfect" "Ok" He left, and you sat on the bed. You came back to live with your childhood friend. You couldn't believe it.
*** It was true that Justin was never in the house. He wake up early in the morning and arrived until seven pm. The season had just begun and he had to fly for the away games. You never noticed how erratic was his life style. Your job on the other hand leave you more time for you and your hobbies. In order to make friends you join a crochet club, and a baking club too. You video call your parents three times a week as well as your friends. You watched every Sunday game to see how the Chargers were doing, and Justin was an excellent quarterback. He succeeded at his position and was such a fun to see him play. You discovered so much about LA in your first month. Kath, a woman you met in your crochet classes was your personal tourist guide. She was very kind and chatty. One day, before going to sleep Justin knocked your door. He was wearing his pijamas, and looked tired. "Hello" you said from your bed. You were reading before going to sleep. "Do you need something?" "I- I want to apologize for being a terrible friend" he said. His eyes were sad, something your attribute to the loss last Sunday. "I haven't asked you anything about your job or how have you been" "Don't worry I know you're busy" you replied in a soft voice. "I never thought the NFL would be so rough" "Yeah, it is" he declared. "So you aren't not mad at me?" You frowned. "No, what makes you think I was?" "I just realized we speak less when we live in the same house" he pointed out. "I started my job, and I join two clubs" He raised his eyebrows, impressed. "Of what?" "Crochet and baking" "Well, I'm glad..." he pressed his lips together, insecure. "I'm going to try to be more in contact" "Don't bother, I know you don't even reply to your family texts during the season" you sighed. "I told you I'm gonna try not to be a burden... enough with you lending me a car" "You're not " he cut you off. "Don't say that" "I don't understand why would you take such efforts, Herbie" He looked at you for a few seconds. His posture was tense. You recognize his expression, he was unsure if tell the truth or not. "I think you believe you are less in my life of what I consider yourself to be..." he started, and sounded sad. He took a few steps until he was at the edge of your bed. And slowly sat down. He had fresh burns on his arms due to the turf. His hair was damp from the shower and he smelled incredibly well. "I realized that it would be alright if I have someone to talk to. Talk about things that are not work related. I know we have dinner some nights and it was great to talk to someone who knows me before all of this" he explained. "I would love to have more nights like that" "Dinner nights" you said, "ok, we can make that" "Yeah?" he said, smiling. "Yes! I can make something even though I'm not a MasterChef" "We can order...or I can cook too" "Not brisket..." He laughed. "Well, that reduces my options drastically" "You can always make a sandwich" He was smiling again. His bad mood disappearing. You stay in a comfortable silence until he looked at you abandoned book and grabbed it. "You still read" he says, reading the cover. "Yes" "It helps you to sleep" it wasn't a question. "Yeah" you said softly. "You can talk to me about your work too. You can talk to me, Justin. It's not good to keep the things for yourself" He didn't say anything. Only looked at you with those beautiful eyes of his and nodded. "I'm going to sleep" he declared "Yeah, I should too" He stood up, and walked to the door. He stopped and lingered a few seconds. "Good night" "Night" The butterflies in your stomach indicated trouble. It wasn't a good sign.
*** Justin: Dinner with the boys. Imma arriving late. There's still spaghetti on the fridge I think
You: Alright Nova and I are having a girls' night
You took a picture of Nova sitting comfortable next to you on the couch. He liked the picture.
Justin: Looks good
That was the last message he sent you. He arrived quite late, stumbling a little bit. He was giggling at his keys because he couldn't put them in the key-holder. You watched the show in silence, holding your laughter. "Mmmm mmm" he started mumbling the Star Wars theme and you completely lost it. He got scared and jumped on his place making you laugh harder. "Shit, what are you doing?" He hissed. "I-I thought..." You sneezed trying to catch your breath. "Nevermind. Are you...drunk?" "No" he replied shortly. "Oh, Justin. I know you, you are all pink" you said. "You are wasted" "I'm not" "Yes, you are" "No, I'm not" "Walk in a straight line then" "Nah" You turned on the lights of the hallway to see him better. You completely forgot about how you were dressing; a big shirt and panties. Nothing else. You caught him staring at your legs and boobs for a few seconds before you help him to get in the kitchen. "Drink lots of water. Why did you get drunk? You have to work tomorrow" you scolded him. He sat and drank a full watter bottle in three gulps. "We can arrive at midday. Since the team is performing well the coach want us to relax a bit" he explained, not sounding so drunk, his eyes wanderer again to your boobs. You felt a little exposed so crossed your arms. "Well, I'm going back to sleep" you said, making sure he was fine "Don't fall on the stairs, please. I can't carry you for dear life" He chuckled. "Okay" You walked pass him, but he held your wrist. That single touch set your skin on fire. You looked up to him, confused. His expression was serious, bright eyes full of determination. You stomach flipped and you were ready to do anything... anything he wanted. If he would look at you like that forever... You waited for him to say something, but he only stared at you. The mood shifted and you could feel the air changing around you. "Justin..." you whispered, one step closer. Then he blinked and all the emotion vanished from his face. He let you go quickly. "Sorry, I'm kinda drunk. Good night " You stared in disbelief for a few seconds. But he wasn't even looking at you. You felt your throat closed, and recognize the sick feeling. "Good night" Sometimes Justin could be so mean. You remembered the times were he would make you cry as kids, but now it's different. You went to your room, feeling sad. Why you were so sad about this? Justin was your friend, not something else. He was being polite. Besides, he was drunk. Maybe he was thinking about other girl. What keep you awake was the painful question: Am I falling in love with my best friend?

A gift
Justin received a meaningful gift on his birthday.
Tumblr media
After a nice dinner with family and friends, and now in the house quietly sitting eating his favorite pastry you made from zero. You could tell he was happy, and you were happy for him too. You love him so much you wanted him to feel that love.
You approach the table with a black box between your hands, when he saw you his eyes light up.
"Oh, more gifts?" he said, finishing the pie.
"The best for the last" you sang, putting the box in front of him and bending to kiss him on the forehead. "Happy birthday, Justin. I love you" you whispered.
He smiled like a little kid, and started opening the box happily. There were several gifts there: the first was a grey cap that he put over his head immediately. Then a smartwatch, the lastest version, he raised his eyebrows in a silent question
"I know you don't like a spent money on you, but it's your birthday, so just say thank you"
"You have give me more of what I deserve" he explained, opening watch's box, he stopped for a second. The design was simple and effective, exactly what he like it. "Ok, it's nice" you laughed, and he turned a little bit red in the cheeks. Finally, it was a book, there was only his initials on the cover, the green leather smelled so nice. "A book?" he asked, looking at you.
"A very special book" you said, excited.
It was the most expensive gift of all. You spent months doing it. Inside the book, there were letters from his family, friends, coaches and teachers since elementary school until now he was in the NFL. All of them telling Justin whatever they wanted to tell. You didn't read so much to keep the privacy. Some of them even include photos you've never seen before. It was a heartwarming gift.
He read the letter of his parents first. It was kinda long, but it was worth it to see his expression. He was holding back tears. When he read the letter Mitch wrote, he started crying a little. He flipped through the pages reading all the signatures that came at the end.
"Wow, everyone is in here" he said, in a shacky but impressed voice. "Even people who live far away"
"It took a little bit of work, but I feel it was important" you explained, holding his hand and squeezing it.
"I...I don't know what to say" he wiped away the tears, suddenly shy "Thank you"
"I'm glad you like it" unconsciously he held the book against his chest.
"You wrote me a letter too?" he asked, putting the book on the table a looking for your letter.
"Yes, you can read it later. When you are feeling sad or stressed. You can read any letter when want when you're feeling down"
One tear stared running across his cheek. He wiped immediately. "Fuck, I wasn't planning to cry"
"It's ok" you stood up to hug him, and he rest his face between your breasts, inhaling deeply. His big arms surrounded your waist, and you gave him tiny kisses on his forehead.
"I love you " he mumbled so low you almost didn't hear it. But your heart started beating faster.
"I love you too"
He looked at you from his wet lashes and brought you towards him to kiss you eagerly. He tasted sweet, and made you clench all your muscles. When you felt his tongue making his way, you stopped to take air. You were sitting across his legs, holding on from his thick neck...dazed.
"Why am I sitting?" you asked with a chuckle.
"This is your place" he said, looking for your mouth again.

Now you are able to send me your questions 馃槂 I must admit that I'm the worst answering questions but I will try my best! This is temporary since the off-season has been so boring.
Currently I'm not taking petitions for fanfics because I'm working on a Justin fanfic that I want to finish.
Don't be rude or I'm going to cry! (and block you)
