I don’t think they interacted a lot but they knew of each other. Collin probably was a bit envious of her situation (basically just putting in all his energy to surviving) but truly didn’t really know anything about Erma.

Erma herself was def the more sociable of the two, but people didn’t see how much effort she put into her studies and her dog training work. Never got into any serious relationships but like, def a fling here or there (also bi legend lol).

Unrelated I also think Collin and Russ were mates in uni lol.

– no previous connections to any existing pikmin characters, pom included. have never met any of these people before in their life

– ironically, appears more closed off or even mean compared to the rest of the rescue corps! this is not intentional. they are far gentler and kinder with castaways and rescued people, labra just gets very snappy when they're stressed. quick to apologize in the event that they cross a line with someone

– despite his more defensive nature, labra does want to help people. his want to provide support for others that he was not often afforded growing up was what spurred him on to study psychology. he had intended on going into the mental health field, but ended up here instead

“yay the bad kids can spend all their downtime doing mystery and relaxation rolls now that academics are out of the way!!” all i’m hearing is that murph has the opportunity to make riz’s arc this season even more heartbreaking as he continues to pour all his energy into mystery and helping his friends bc he simply cannot let himself relax or he’ll Die

also i have a feeling that murph is saving that rage token for a juicy plot/character moment and part of me hopes the npc he’ll mess up his relationship with is jawbone :) can you imagine jawbone finding out riz stole klck’s file from his office and, not realising that riz is this 👌 close to snapping, (rightfully) gets a little mad at him and riz bites back WAY too hard? and jawbone has to deal with the fact that, even though he had a right to be angry, he’s screwed up his chances of helping the one kid he’s been having so much trouble reaching?

the only thing worse than this to me would be riz snapping at his mom (unthinkable) or one of the bad kids (life ruining)

Let’s make one thing clear! Riz would have killed kalvaxus whether that was his dad’s murderer or not. He was working on the case, not because of his tragic backstory, but because he noticed his babysitter went missing, then noticed a bunch of other girls had also gone missing. He was already working the case to start out with because he realized something was up and worked on the case no one else seemed to be paying attention to or caring about. He wanted to figure out the mystery to help those girls.

Riz doesn’t get good adventures because he’s tragic, he gets good adventures because he’s smart and can find connections where no one else can. Because he refuses to give up when he finds a mystery. (to the point where he has a mystery tattooed all over his body)
