Hi. I’m sure you get asked how did you get good a lot but I was wondering who your main source of studies were and if that’s how you developed your style. Love your art!!
hi! sorry it took a while to write up a response, this question has been cooking in my head for a bit…
i started drawing at a very young age, so its difficult to describe my whole progress/learning curve. my current style is an amalgamation of countless sources of inspiration and different aesthetics ive enjoyed throughout my life, and it will continue to develop as long as i draw, i think. my main influences in more recent years have probably been shinichi sakamoto, ayami kojima, yoshitaka amano, jasmin darnell, nanaco yashiro… im likely forgetting a lot…
i try to improve my understanding of anatomy by drawing poses from photos (e.g. from @adorkastock, @jookpubstock, @/NyxNaiaStock on twitter). i save a ton of photos of fashion, dolls, flowers and just anything i find pretty, and sometimes attempt to study them to incorporate that into my drawings and be able to draw it more accurately. i also follow a bunch of accounts on twitter that post art tutorials w tips on lighting, anatomy, perspective…
im not sure if this is a conclusive enough answer, please feel free to send follow-up questions if youd like to know anything else!
thank you for enjoying my art!!
