I love that we have some surviving poetry from a female writer too but I feel bad for Terence being so completely defeated so allow me to add this as propaganda:
Terence was likely from North Africa and brought to Rome as a slave. He went from that to becoming one of Rome's most prolific and celebrated playwrights. He must have fought very hard and have been very talented to get where he got to. His work is among the few pieces of literature we have from before the 1st century BC. And although it's not Sulpicia's fault we only have 40 lines of her work, we do, well... only have 40 lines. We have several whole plays of Terence, allowing us to really get a sense of his skill and style.

Terence's Latin is really conversational and pleasant, giving a really cool look into everyday speech
He was a really important school author for centuries, up there with Vergil and Cicero
Surprisingly influential on Christian writing, including Augustine, Hrosvitha, and Erasmus, which is a testament to his style and his discussions of human behavior
