"cannibalism as a metaphor for love" this "cannibalism as a metaphor for desire" that. what about cannibalism as an act of hatred. as an act of revenge. equating an act of horrific violence to one situation/emotion only diminishes its affect when utilized as such. and sterilizes the act itself to something holy. "romantic cannibalism" becomes boring and meaningless if no other kind of cannibalism exists...
