A Little Bit About Me

I’m Liv and I live in the Staffordshire Moorlands, though I’m often at my boyfriend’s in Stoke-on-Trent! I’m 19 - soon to be 20 - and I’m coming to the end of my second year at Staffordshire University, where I study the NCTJ accredited Journalism course there and report exclusively for StaffsLive.

On top of my full-time degree, I also have two part-time jobs: I coordinate the Staffordshire Youth Commission project on behalf of Safer Communities CIC, Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service and the Staffordshire Commissioner, and I work as a barmaid in a local pub.

I’m also undergoing and practising additional qualifications in make-up artistry and beauty as I believe it’s always good to have something to fall back on and it’s something that I really enjoy doing.

All of this means I’m super busy but I do try to find time to wind down and do what I love. I’m passionate about retro cars (‘90s Vauxhalls in particular) and I own a Mk3 Astra (1997) and a Corsa B (1999). In fact, I like all things 90s - the music, the cars, the fashion - and have said before that I wish that I was born 10 years earlier. Additionally, I enjoy walking, reading, writing, going to raves (what teenager doesn’t), photography, travelling, fashion and binge-watching rubbish reality TV shows (Real Housewives of Cheshire, yes please). And I love animals so feel free to send cat and dog pics whenever.

So yeah, you’re basically going to get a bit of anything and everything in this blog and I think that’s what will keep my feed fresh and exciting. I’ll try to post at least twice a week but bare with me if I don’t always get the time to. Give me a follow and you’ll get to see the ins and outs of my chaotic life - I’ll make sure to include all the laughs and the tears (and the gossip, of course)!
