some thots on chapter 6 (maybe couple of spoilers ahead too so be cautious)

BB3 just keeps....throwing these meaty chapters at us huh. and I absolutely love it! (I typed these while playing through so bare with)

☆ Rheya’s speech - shes so endearing and charismatic, but it had me a little shook on how nobody seems to be asking questions and people will just...follow her (I mean I would too have you seen her ajfksdjl but thats besides the POINT) Vamp Five (btw this is what I call the group for ease lmao) didn’t even question it either?! I can’t wait to find out more about this. can she glamour/enthrall people? can all vampires? will be interesting to find out!

☆ Rheya’s new house is absolutely up my street. loving the aesthetics. house fit for a mysterious vampire queen. also generous to let homeless vampires stay. how very Jax of her.

☆ Rheya and Jax’s exchange at the door about regrets. Would love to know more about the dark corners of Jax’s vampire past.

☆ Lily is just such a mood ALWAYS. I love her lots.

☆ The moment between Rheya, Lily and Jax in the giant hall. While the scene was bittersweet, and Lily and Jax deserved the validation from her, I felt a little on edge as Rheya seemed to easily pick apart their weaknesses. She can just easily tap into peoples weaknesses and if her hearts not in the right place, she can use that to her advantage against Vamp Five later on in the story when things get tough. I hope that wasn’t some foreboding of her trying to get Lily and Jax on her side.

☆ Fragment scene! 13th century Japan with Kamilah and we see the story (well somewhat part of the story) of how the leader of the Nakamura clan, Aiko was turned, along with solider Takeshi, who is Jax’s maker! Also Kamilah and Aiko are diggin each other hehehe. We find out Kamilah and Gaius turned them in exchange for shelter and safety, which means Jax’s vampire bloodline is much closer to Gaius and Rheya than we thought.

☆ So Takeshi! Jax’s maker! He’s cute. I hope we’ll be seeing more of the Japanese vampires and with Takeshi’s introduction, I hope we can see some of his time and teachings with Jax.

☆ I really did have a good giggle at Gaius Treet asjkdjsk. Just chillin there. Outside. Vibin. Love that.

☆ MC is still getting over her death, and her PTSD triggers when she sees Gaius Tree and who can blame her? It’s realistic. And yes Rheya is watching over Gaius Tree but why do I have the feeling she’d bring him back if she found a way? 👀

☆ Lula is there!! Why is Lula there?? Why isn’t she with the rest of Clan Matsuo? Did they get split up during the chaos? I don’t remember fkldsjfk (If I missed something forgive me! In my playthrough, Arnold and Liv are still alive so I was wondering why she wasn’t with them either!)

☆ NOO sweet Lula is HURT. What was she doing out in the SUN? Also I thought Jax would be much more freaked out seeing her like this?? He was one of her guardians back in the Shadow Den how is he so calm watching her sizzling like a bbq??? 😩

☆ Rheya is just out here healing vampiric sunburns huh. She is amazing but she can do so.... much. She is op and its scary.

☆ The Real Vampires of New York....100% would watch.

☆ We learn a bit more about MCS home life when we chat with Rheya. So her parents seem like regular people but her mom’s a bit of a recluse? Trying to hide powers maybe? Was she a bloodkeeper too? She also briefly talks to us about our LIs which makes me nervous she’ll use the info to mess with us in the future.

☆ Rheya’s telling us about her hubby and kid and the reasons why she turned Gaius and Xenocrates; so she wouldnt feel lonely. She also lets MC know she doesn’t want her to go through the same thing...hnn

☆ And then the next level visions of the future ajkdlsjf....umm does not bode well AT ALL. MC gonna do some bad things. And then MC just claiming she’s now Rheya’s......ummm (no MC dont do THAT)

☆ Vampire nights out and vampire bars always sound like so much FUN! And I love when Vamp Five get to wind down and have fun.

☆ WE GET TO KISS SERAFINE CAN I GET A HELL YEAH

☆ More bad dreams of the impending doom we’ll unleash jkflrjdgj oh and Rheya appearing naked and covered in blood in MC’s dreams. Me remembering how this same thing happened on True Blood when Lilith kept appearing (naked covered in blood) to Bill before he went crazy and drank her blood and then became evil vampire god incarnate:

So um.....next chapter quick please....forever hooked!!
