Calling it now. He'll possibly be one of the most influential characters to be released within the past 10 years. In both writing & design. He's introduced to us as an absolute rebel. As the movie plays on, you learn that he was looking out for Miles the entire time. He's probably one of the greatest big bros to hit the big screen.
Daniel Kaluuya does an amazing job voicing him. He's the type of laid back, confident dude we all wish we had in our lives. He's just as funny as any other spider person, but he is at his best when he's shown doing what he wants to do.
His design is striking. One thing i love about him is the choice they made at the start, designing his face to be shaped the way it is. It's very different from the rest of the cast, and his character designer is very proud of it. I know people that look like him that are treated differently for it. Seeing him on the big screen did wonders for me. It'll do wonders for others.
Aside from his sick fashion sense, he has a visual effect unique to him, that was made with the black punk scene of where he's from in mind.
It. Looks. Amazing. He looks like he walked straight out of a zine. The newspaper texture on him can even be read i hear. He even moves at a different framerate than the rest of t he cast. Seeing him in motion is something you need to see with your own eyes. Everything about this man just spells out the type of creativity that just makes your jaw hit the floor. I think this is what art's about. It's gotta be.
Tried sketching with ballpoint pen. Really REALLY liked how it feels. Perspective is whack but i don't care too much right now. It is something I should learn eventually.
Posting sketchbook drawings. Some are new some are old. It's hard to tell since my style hasn't really changed I think. This is a page of me trying to think of what the hell to do for a design in my head.
Sketchbook art of characters from my oc world. I made head too big..... i really wanma redesign the cracked statue with gems to fit into the newer version of the world in my head!
For my birthday, the drawing den surprised me with a game of telephone but with a comic, with my OCs.
It was really nice to see my characters be themselves, even in the most funniest of circumstances. I want to continue drawing them. I wish I could post all of the pages. There's so much passion and fun to be seen behind all of them.
This year's been a real test of my willpower. Week's been a battle, mentally and psychically. A lot of what i'm going through is my fault. I don't like to burden others with my hardships, but i really needed this. This is easily the greatest birthday gift i could've recived at this moment. The people in there being able to mess around as they do is a constant reminder is that i did something right.
