*  ♡  CASTING CALL 014  /  ACTING AUDITION.
sunhwa was never one to pass up on an opportunity.
she'd always loved putting herself out there, loved making herself known, loved proving just how much of a force she was to be reckoned with. to the freshly crowned brunette ( a decision she'd spent long and hard coming to a conclusion for ), any chance given had the opportunity for greatness— there was no way to know ones standing, to know ones chance at making it, if no efforts are made.
sunhwa would be damned if she said she didn't try.
so, when word of a new acting gig had been made known to her, of course, she'd vowed to put her own two cents in. modeling wasn't all she wanted to do in her career, that much she'd made clear the last time she'd had a proper heart to heart with company management. sunhwa was glad to see they'd taken her words to heart, this new chance being proof of that.
there would be plenty of campaigns and shoots to take part in later down the line— stand-out characters in an acting sense, even when said characters pertained to a smaller project, were far and few in between by comparison.
the setting is one sunhwa has come to know very well at this point, the room void of life, save for only a few souls— herself, show executives ( namely, the casting director ), and a camera. it isn't anything to stress over, even when she'd been left in the dark on what exactly she'll be needed to do in order to be properly gauged, and for that reason, she wears a serene grin when she first enters the room.
"thank you for taking the time to see me today," she starts, shoulder back and relaxed, head held high as she regards everyone in the room. first impressions, regardless of whether they were true firsts, were always important. "my name is jo sunhwa, and i'm eager to show you what i've got."
directions past that point are easy enough, a setting being established as well as a motivation to set things into motion.
sunhwa takes a breath, her eyes closing for a brief moment, and then they open.
there are no company executives in the room anymore, stark white walls and bright fluorescent replaced with natural, evening filtered sunlight beaming through large windows, an empty classroom with deserted desks surrounding her. it was only a few months ago that sunhwa found herself leaving school behind once and for all, a degree following right behind her, so it isn't hard to recall this specific sort of environment.
she casts a glance downwards, a desk positioned right in front of her, but it isn't just any desk. it's her desk. the sight that sits upon it is one that causes the brunette to roll her eyes, a puff of air leaving through her nose as she regards the object sitting in plain sight. "on the dot, just like clockwork." she's never been a stranger to random letters appearing on her desk, the content always the same, just worded differently. there's no need to open it to know what it is, not when this was a normal occurrence.
a love letter.
always sappy, always dramatic, always bleeding with a pitying longing.
the first time she'd ever received one, she'd been pleasantly surprised. the second, flattered. every other time after that? drained. still, despite the annoyance she feels beginning to crawl under her skin, brows furrowed as she stares hard at the letter placed upon her desk, sunhwa still reaches a hand out. letter in her grasp, she begins ripping the top of it open slowly, lips pressed into a thin line.
her eyes scan the paper as she pulls it from its confines— a love letter. of course, her assumption had been correct.
sunhwas eyes close, head tilting to one side as she frowns. "words this heavy can't be expressed through writing." with that, a resounding tearing sound echoes throughout the empty room, tiny pieces of the letter falling at sunhwas feet as the major parts are stuffed into her pocket. "the day someone has the courage to approach me and say all of this face to face is the day I'll ever take something like this seriously."
sunhwa turns, her back now facing where the executives had once been sitting, and suddenly she's being told to stop— her time is up, and now, all there's left to do it depart and wait. time truly flies when one is having fun.

YEIN.
yein nods, “that would be so fun, wouldn’t it? it would be even more fun if it was like this, where the company paid for it.” she laughs because it seems improbable, but then again she also never expected the company to give them an all expense paid trip here either. in her mind, legacy was the type of company where the staff did care about their artists to a degree, but they cared more about their profits in the end. not that yein can blame them, since they’re a business at the end of the day. but still, she didn’t think that having all the actors going on a trip as a reward was their type of thing.
“not that i’m complaining about this bali trip, of course. but i’ve always liked city more than beaches.” yein has never really been a laying around in the sun kind of girl, maybe because she liked to go and do things ( unless she was laying in her bed, but that’s completely different ). “maybe if we film in europe someday they’ll give us some time off.”
“you’re right, paris and london are places that we might go for work, so we should probably pick somewhere else. i’ve always wanted to go to greece though.” she’s heard of the pretty building and the beaches, which seems pretty unconventional for someone who said she doesn’t like the sun and the sand. “i also heard austria and switzerland are nice. and copenhagen? it would also probably be easier to go somewhere in asia like thailand or japan, if we want to do something closer.”
at the mention of japan, sunhwa briefly remembers the last time she’d visited— it had been around this time last summer, her trainee life still in full effect, a distant memory that brought about a slew of different emotions. during that last visit, she’d been a much different person, a version of herself who felt far more naïve and young in comparison to the woman she now felt herself to be. in retrospect, it was only a years worth of time, but even then, a lot could happen in a year.
a lot had happened for sunhwa during this past year. maybe some new memories there would be nice, especially if they were made while in the company of a friend like yein.
“maybe we could work our way outward? you know, start in places closer to us that have a little easier of a commute to, and gradually branch out farther and farther with each trip.” sunhwa suggests, a brow quirking as she thought her idea through. “doing it that way at least gives us something more to look foreward to after we come back.”

YEIN.
it really does feel like she’s been working nonstop these days. back when she was still a trainee, yein always complained about how difficult it was to have schedules every day, how tiring it was to always have practices, but ever since she switched to being an actress it seems like her schedules doubled somehow. she was always filming something, or going to some press conference, or going to fittings or otherwise busy with work related things. she likes being busy, because it means that she’s taking steps for her future and her career, but she has to admit that sometimes she feels exhausted when she gets no consistent sleep for weeks on end.
“i think the best part is that the company paid for it.” she laughs, looking at the drink she has next to her. a vacation is a vacation, but it’s different when you know that the only money you really have to spend is souvenirs for yourself and that the company will take care of the rest.
yein smiles as she looks at her friend, suddenly feeling excited from the idea. “yeah we’ll have to coordinate our schedules, since we’re both so busy.” even so, she’s sure they can find a week somewhere in there when they can do something together. it’s not like the company can completely occupy twenty four hours a day for the entire year ( or they probably can, but they wouldn’t, hopefully ). “is there anywhere you’ve been wanting to go? i wanted to go back to europe because i’ve only been there for work things. i want to feel like a real tourist.”
“i wonder if we’d ever have to time to go on something like a travel tour through europe— you know, spending a few days in different countries just to sight see, shop, and eat.” sunhwa had been abroad a few times in the course of her life, mainly for the occasional vacation she’d take with family, alongside the handful of small sponsored trips she’d been invited to back during her influencer days. they’d all been nothing terribly extended, however, and that was someone the blonde would love to experience some day ( especially with a friend like yein ).
such a trip would eat into her work time, a concept someone as dedicated to their craft as sunhwa was being an almost unthinkable thought, but a worthy thought nonetheless. everyone needed a break every now and then. so long as the memories being made were happy, time lost would always be worth it.
“something that grand and drawn out would need intense planning, so for the time being, we can stick to planning more frequent smaller trip. we’d probably have a better time coordinating our free days doing it like that, anyways,” the blonde muses, a hand rising to lift her sunglasses so that they rest atop her head. “what do you say . . . italy, maybe? or greece? somewhere a bit more unconventional— we can always see paris or london at other times.”

*  ♡  ALL THAT GLITTERS.
the brief lull between jobs is always a serene one— a period of rest for a body constantly riddled with motivation and drive. sunhwa was never the stagnant type, never one to stay still when it felt like there was always something that needed to be done. schooling, training ( when she’d still been resigned to the path of an idol trainee what felt like oh, so long ago ), actually working as a model, dabbling in professional acting.
there wasn’t anything sunhwa couldn’t do, not if she had anything to say about it.
however, for all her drive and motivation and want to do more, more, more . . . there wasn’t anything the blonde treasured more than these brief, stilted moments of calm. the trip abroad for bullet inquiry’s wrap party had been fun, a wonderful tropical escape after undeniable efforts, but this? this was what sunhwa had really wanted to spend her time doing from the very start— safely tucked away, hidden from the world early in the morning, a stark contrast from the usual hustle she found herself bound to when it came to schedules. for her, there’s nothing that needed to be done today, so she has all the time to simply be.
her heart rests easily in her chest, just as it simultaneously rests easily beside her, warm and soft and safe in her arms, tufts of dark, wispy hair tickling at the underside of her nose. the gentle sounds of purring follow the light snores echoing from where a nose is burrowed into the side of her neck, cupid having migrated to their little bundle under the covers, just as he always did during the night. sunhwa couldn’t be any happier.
this was her private life, contained within these four walls. this was her reason, added purpose in making sure she continued to work hard and take everything that found its way in her path. this was her strength given form, her heart bared for only a select precious few.
this was sunhwa as she was, and as she would always be.

HALEY.
haley rests her chin in her hand, looking at sunwha and wishing that sunhwa hadn’t moved out or maybe that haley had moved out with her. it must be nice not to have to share a room, or share a room with your boyfriend, which if haley is correct, is how it is most nights for sunhwa. she was happier now that she had more roommates and the dorm was buzzing with other girls again.
the dark loom of future dreams season six seemed to put on her is over and now she can focus on her future. still, everything seem so uncertain and the constant change in her life just leaves a bad taste in her mouth now. she dreams of the day that she can stop looking over her shoulder, certain that something is going to take away all that she’s worked for.
she’s realized now that every step she takes is carefully watched, her reputation carefully guarded before anyone beyond legacy cares about it. with all these thoughts racing through her mind, haley doesn’t leave much time for food or staying hydrated. video games and anime serve the very important purpose of driving real life thoughts away so, it’s no surprise that she’s lost a few pounds over the course of the last couple months.
“yes please,” haley tells sunhwa with a smile. “i’d love to see you acting. i feel like the models at legacy get to do the most fun stuff. they can act and sing too. although there’s a few fun things coming up for me, maybe. if i’m lucky enough.” haley sighs.
“do you think most of this is based on luck? like i know skill is a lot of it but after that… after it’s kind of like everyone’s at the same stage in their skills. then it’s kind of like circumstance, don’t you think? who’s in the right place at the right time, or the wrong place.” haley ends her musings with another sigh. “or maybe i’m just impatient and should be grateful they didn’t kick me out.” she laughs a little and takes a sip of water.
having haley by her side, her deposition faring better than what sunhwa had heard it’d once been not all too long ago, causes a sense of relief to wash over the blonde. there was no other way to state just how important of a person haley was to her— they were sisters, connected and bonded farther than a meager word like friends could ever convey. it was by nature sunhwa found herself often worrying over the younger, especially now that they weren’t within each others immediate vicinity the way they’d once been not all too long ago.
even if haley still found herself feeling a bit sad, at least her smile held visions of what sunhwa had known so strongly. the blonde wanted to see more, wanted to do everything she could to help the younger come back into herself, bigger and better than ever. haley deserved it, that much sunhwa was certain of.
if having her over and cooking hearty meals helped in any way, well, that was a start, right?
“i’ll invite everyone, get a bunch of snacks and drinks ready. it’d be a fun time, especially with how crazy everything has been lately,” sunhwa voices, raising her brows with intrigue. “model has totally been more inspiring for me than being an idol trainee. at first, i had been a bit torn— putting my focus into being a model when i’m just about to finish getting a degree in acting? it almost felt like i’d wasted my time with school if i wasn’t going to directly utilized what i was learning, but bullet inquiry put me at ease.”
haleys question causes sunhwa to pause for a moment, mulling over her thoughts. “luck and chance have a part to play in everything, unfortunately— life isn’t always fair. timing isn’t always fair.” what happened with you wasn’t fair. sunhwas brows furrow, annoyance leaking into her voice. “they’d have been stupid to kick you out, mistake or not. you’ve got more talent in your pinky finger than most people do in their whole bodies.”

"special, right— well, in any case, it's nice to hear you're moving on to . . . bigger and better things." sunhwa had no real issue with saem, save for the fact that she found him to be one of the most annoyingly hyperactive people the blonde had ever met. was that his fault? no, not really, but sunhwas patience could only take her so far ( she often found herself handing out far more patience than most people earned, her demeanor having softened a bit over the last few months— everyone say thank you, sejun ).
sunhwas brows scrunch, similarly to her nose, at mirus comment. she does well to muffle the laugh that pushes to spill past her lips, keeping herself quiet with the help of picking up her food-filled fork and stuffing it into her mouth. "so you're definitely in need of a good decluttering. i doubt we could do it today since furniture shopping is such a beast to handle, but i'd be happy to help you the next time our free days overlap." while sunhwa wasn't the neatest of freaks, she sure did love reorganizing.
"ikea is fine when you're trying to ball on a budget," she concedes, rolling her eyes playfully as she leans back a bit in her seat. "but, with this being your new home as you transition into your career, i think you've earned the right to treat yourself to real furniture that'll last and show some personality." hands folding themselves on her lap loosely, sunhwa straightens herself where she's sat. "it's not weird. you deserve, this miru— the new success and privilege coming to you. it's about time you're given good things."
lgcsunhwa
"i know a cute little furniture boutique not too far from here. they sell all sorts of interesting pieces, leaps and bounds nicer than the generic all-white pieces you find at most name brand department stores." while it'd been true that sejun had helped tremendously, he had down so in the lifting department— he had a say, of course, but sunhwa was the one to make sure everything was cohesive in the end. "when we're done here, we'd be able to take a trip that way if you're up for it."
"well," miru says with a drink of his juice. "saem and i... you know, had a special relationship. i think his personality is cute. he's like a little hamster or something, one with like prior brain damage." miru goes back to eating, thinking about not living with saem makes him sad so he's been trying not to think about it. despite anyone's opinions on saem, he's become something like a comfort person to miru.
he sighs, reaching out to set down his fork and look up at sunhwa. "my god," he says in reaction to her question. "i don't know, maybe the late 90's?" miru laughs and leans back in his chair to sip the rest of the sparkling orange juice. "most of my clothes are at my mom's place. so some of it, i really haven't seen in a few years. there's a possibility that most of that can be given away."
"what, you don't like ikea furniture?" he wonders. "the uniformity?" miru laughs a little and goes back to picking at his food. "lets do that," he says with some excitement in his tone. "i'm so ready to get out of these dorms and spread out. it's weird having like... goals, you know? i was pretty sure i wouldn't make it to twenty-three. now i'm about to become a model. weird, huh?"

YEIN.
filming for bullet inquiry was difficult and time consuming, and yein felt like days on set were impossibly long and sometimes extremely taxing. as much as she likes acting and as grateful as she is for getting roles, she has to admit that it was absolutely exhausting being on set every day, especially for a drama with as much action as this one had. which is why she feels like this vacation is much needed and long overdue. as she sits under the sun, listening to the waves with a sparkling water next to her, she thinks that maybe her company isn’t so bad after all. maybe she would even stop complaining about them for a little bit.
“right? i feel like in korea it’s either freezing cold or ridiculously hot. and not even the nice kind of hot like they have here. it’s just….” yein wrinkles her nose under her sunglasses. “sticky.”
yein isn’t even the type to be into the beach. back at home she’s never had a strong urge to visit busan or jeju on her days off, and she always thought that maybe it was because she was more of a city person. but she had to admit that it was nice being here, though maybe it’s just nice to hang out with sunhwa in an environment where they’re not running around trying to film. “i can’t even remember.” she admits. “i feel like we’re always doing something for work, right?” yein turns to the other girl, lifting up her sunglasses and putting them on her head suddenly. “we should do more things like this, just us two. we can plan vacations and go places when we have free time together.”
sunhwa hasn’t ever been the idle type. staying stagnant, holding still, hitting pause and stopping to smell the roses rather then look for the next plot of land to sow— it felt odd to simple sit back and fully relax after having been consistently busy for such a long time. from the moment she became a model, allowing herself to be fully known by the masses, opening herself to endless opportunities that not only encompassed her working field, but acting as well, sunhwa can’t say she’s ever taken a real moment to relax since the break she’d been given at the end of last year.
outside of spending her leisure time with friends and family in private, life has been a nonstop race to see what she could accomplish next.
“a few days off from schedules here and there hardly compares to being flown out for an all inclusive, company paid vacation— we worked hard for this, it’s only right for the company to treat us to something like this.” and really, they had worked hard, all of them. bullet inquiry was a real experience, once sunhwa was happy to have been apart of, but that didn’t mean she wasn’t still feeling the mild exhaustion running through her veins. “wait, that’s such a good idea,” the blonde finds herself agreeing, a brow raising as she turns slightly to look at the other girl. “when we get back to the room later, we can go over possible timeframes and places we could visit!”

SEJUN.
sejun grins at sunhwa’s reaction to their furry new companion. the slight fear he had of her not necessarily knowing if sunhwa would be excited or not is relieved and he feels happy knowing his present to her was a good choice in the end. it also weighs a little heavy on his heart, absolutely not in a bad way. it’s not as if they needed another reminder to how committed they are to each other, but this animal is another reminder all the same.
“perfect?” he repeats, only with a little laugh. “i’m glad you think so.” he reaches up to give her cheek a touch, letting his thumb touch the edge of her mouth. “it was kind of a spur of the moment thing,” he admits to her question. “i saw him and i knew we needed him. he’s really pretty, isn’t he? one of those ragdoll instagram cats for sure.”
sejun walks further into the apartment, back to where he was sitting on the ground with the kitten. “he likes to chase the feather wands,” sejun says twirling one of the plastic rods in his fingers. “you should see,” he tells her. “he goes crazy for it.” he takes a slight pause, reaching to push his hair from his face and smile at the image of sunhwa with her new pet. it really was a good idea, he thinks to himself. he’s never seen sunhwa look at anything like she’s looking at the cat.
“how was your day? anything exciting happen?”
for as cheesy, cliché, even, as it may sound, the inclusion of another being within their already limitless devotion was something sunhwa hadn’t ever thought to entertain before. when the word expansion came to mind in regards to families ( because, without a doubt, that was what sejun and sunhwa wholeheartedly were— a family ), the first connecting thought was always children, a concept neither of them were anywhere near ready to pursue for a multitude of reasons. the thought, while nice, was one for the far future.
for whatever reason, the idea of an animal hadn’t ever crossed her mind. now, however, cradling the most adorable kitten sejun could’ve ever gifted her, the blonde feels rather dense for not having thought of this herself. cupid was perfect— sejun, both by association and by simply being himself, was also perfect. “oh, he’s the most precious thing, sejun—” sunhwa murmurs, voice thickening with affection. she slowly follows behind sejun as he walks back into the apartment, her hold still safe and secure around cupid. “he’d gain one million followers so much faster than i did on instagram, no doubt.”
sunhwa is silent for a moment, simply enjoying herself, before stepping closer to sejun. a hand places itself gently against his cheek, cradling it with all the love and care she’s ever known herself to have, and the blonde leans to give him a kiss. “the day has only just begun, but i can tell you right now— nothing is going to top this. you’ve outdone yourself, yet again, my love.”

*  ♡  WAVES ON THE OCEAN.         a well earned break under the sun ( ft. @lgcyein  ).
sunhwa wouldn’t ever categorize herself as a beach person. surf and sun, salt and sand— elemental combinations the blonde couldn’t, in good faith, say she enjoyed all too much ( at least, not in excess ). anytime she’d found herself spending time along the shore, she been doing so while lounging under the comfortable shade of an umbrella, strewn across a full length beach chair as she let the summer heat lull her muscles into a safe sense of calm. often, an entertaining book accompanied her if she found herself alone.
thankfully, in wake of not having any fresh reading materiel to pass the time, yein had graciously agreed to spend some time with her along the shore. when sunhwa had seen the two of them would be staying in the same room for their bali trip, the blonde had been happy. sunhwa liked yein a lot, so any reason to hang out during their downtime was nice.
“the locals are so lucky to have such beautiful weather like this as often as they do,” the blonde remarks, sunglasses perched atop her nose comfortably. in true relaxation mode, sunhwa pulls out her phone to snap a quick photo of the beach. it isn’t too crowded, still early in the day, so the sun hasn’t yet hit its peak. it’s warm, but not uncomfortably so. sunhwa looks to yein, lifting herself up from her seat a little. “when was the last time you were able to just . . . be out like this?”

♡  — FRESH AIR.          a break under the scorching sun ( solo ).
sunhwa hadn’t ever traveled to such a tropical place.
Tumblr media
sure, she’d gone abroad plenty of time ( while being nowhere near the pinicale of wealth, her family was fairly well off, stable enough to take the occasional vacation anytime plans could be properly arranged ), but bali was a setting unknown to the blonde. the days leading up to her inevitable flight had been ransacked with nothing but preparation— ensuring her lugages ( because, yes, one needed to have a plethora of clothing options for such a warm climate ) were all ready to go, putting together a list of trinkets to bring back for her loved ones, and double, then triple, checking that both sejun and cupid would survive without her for the duration of her trip.
this would, after all, be the first time she and sejun would be apart from one another for more than a day or two since they began dating, and her first time being cupid in general since adopting him only a few short months ago.
sunhwa would miss her boys dearly, but work ( despite this trip not being for work ) had to get done.
while there’s a general itinerary made up, their official first designated beach day is one sunhwa spends the majority of lounging under the shade of an umbrella, the oceans gentle, calming waves soothing her workaholic shoulders. she’s never been one for extreme physical exertion, so any invitations towards beach related games proposed by staff members are politely declined on her end, the blonde wanting to simply lay back and enjoy the fruits of her acting labor.
time seems to move at a different pace when one feels safe under the heat of the sun, the day moving at a snails pace, an odd sensation sunhwa is grateful to feel. truly, she never wants this peace and tranquility to end. even as she finds herself exploring the little shops in the nearby area not too much later, gaze taking stock of souvenirs to come back for before they’re all set to fly back home, the ease and lax pace with which she moves never leaves her. it’s a refreshing change of pace.
maybe she would come back to the beach on her free day.

*  ♡  YOU, ME, WE.
HALEY.
haley’s missed sunhwa so much, dying to have the time between the two of them to finally come and visit her apartment again. she’s even offered to make something for haley to eat, which she couldn’t be more thankful for after three months of convenience store food and takeout.
things were finally starting to feel better though, and her being here was kind of reminiscent of that. she made a promise to herself at the start of the new quarter to finally feel better and the first step to that was always seeing friends and forcing herself to get out of the dorm. not only that but the sunshine helps.
“not well,” haley says between a laugh. “i don’t really like cooking.” admitting that isn’t uncommon but it still makes her feel a little self conscious because she knows that it’s a common trade. the problem is that she never really grew up with parents who liked to cook either, that and haley never really has the focus or drive to do it herself.
“i’ve missed you too. you’ve been busy? i can’t imagine what it’s like to be a professional model. that just feels more glamorous than idol life for sure. do you get to keep all the clothes after the shoot?” haley wonders with a small laugh.
truthfully, haleys response wasn’t one that surprised the older, the blonde prior knowledge of the other girls eating habits from back when they used to share a dorm ( and room ) together still freshly imprinted into her mind. bad habits were always difficult to break, especially when the one who exhibited said bad habits was of no mind to change them— with everything going one, alongside everything that’d happened over the last few months, sunhwa was sure the last thing on haleys mind was whether her instant ramyeon had too much salt per serving or not.
that was only more the reason for sunhwa to make sure that haley ate more of a balanced meal now that the two of them were together. who knew when the younger would next get a proper fix of vegetables in her system.
“i need to have you over more, if not for us to see each other regularly, then to at least know you’re actually eating real food every now and then,” sunhwa quips, a brows quirked. often times, her home already seemed to overflow with extras outside of herself, sejun, and cupid. haley would always be a welcomed addition, without question. “i’ve been much busier than i thought i’d be, but that’s probably also because i took on the extra work of appearing in a drama, but i’m happy i did it— we should have a viewing party for the first episode once it airs.” sunhwa suggests, lips lifting into a pleased smile. “i was gifted a jacket from one of my shoots, and a pair of earrings. nothing too extravagant, though— they’re things i could’ve bought myself at some point, honestly.”

SEJUN.
sejun rolls back and forth on his toes to heel, slowly but excitedly, the grin still wide on his face. "nope," he says shaking his head. he can feel the cat wiggling to be free in his hands and then comes a few small meows, shadows of what would be normal for a larger cat. "i think he gave himself away," sejun says, returning the kitten to the front of his chest. "he must not like surprises."
sejun waits for sunhwa's reaction, eyes on her as she finally sees what he's gotten for her this white day. "i also got everything we need for him too," sejun says turning a little so sunhwa can see the amount of toys and the little heart themed cat tree that has already been assembled. "he's yours though, so i think you should name him. he'll definitely like you better anyways," sejun says with a small laugh.
"is this okay, though?" sejun says with wide eyes, wanting to make sure that having a cat in her apartment was something that sunwha wanted. even though sejun finds himself here most of the time, there are days when he's too tired to make his way over to her apartment and with the punishments being handed out, he's had to make sure that he's more discrete and strategic with how much he's here.
with that being said, he knows how busy sunhwa is.
"anyways, what names are you thinking? i've never had a pet before. but when i saw him in the window, i though of you. he'll be here on nights i can't. someone to keep you warm in the meantime," sejun says with a fond smile. he reaches out to hand sunhwa the little kitten, not without stealing a kiss from her himself. "he's our little white day cupid."
by now, sunhwa is no longer left to wonder what sejuns got hidden behind his back, faint mewls reaching her ears underneath their exchanged words, but the blonde can't bring herself to truly believe it— not until she sees it. it's hard to keep her already expanding excitement at bay, however, her grin already splitting into something much wider, something much lovelier. the moment the animal, the kitten, is finally brought into her view, sunhwa feels herself begin to melt.
how did she ever get so lucky?
vaguely, she registers what's being said to her— food, supplies, toys, everything they could ever have a need for in making sure this new addition to kick off their little family is well taken care of, all already located around the apartment— but, for once, she's unable to speak. in her silence, she finds her legs moving on their own, bringing her closer to sejun and the kitten held oh so carefully in his grasp. it's so tiny, so cute, so perfect— an addition the blonde hadn't known she would already love this much. "oh, jun," she starts lightly, eyes round as she stands in front of him, a hand reaching out slowly to pet the kittens head. "he's perfect." you're perfect.
sunhwas remembers having had a dog as a child, one that'd marked a milestone in her parents' relationship, overseeing her birth and younger years briefly before its time on earth came to a peaceful end, but it hadn't really been her pet. she remembers it being loud, energetic even in its old age, far more to handle than she personal liked regardless of her positive feelings towards it. but a cat? oh, a cat would no doubt be right up her and sejuns ally.
"our cupid . . . " sunhwa echoes. she's so very careful, a bit hesitant even, as sejuns passes the kitten to her. it's so small and fragile, but the kiss he leaves upon her lips, soft and open, helps ease the tension collecting in her shoulders. out of habit, she finds herself chasing after him as they part. "how do you always come up with the sweetest ideas for me?" her words are barely above a whisper, but the fond grin on her lips gives her feelings away.

once SUNHWA enters the meeting room, she’s met with one of the managers, SEO HEEJUNG. “please take a seat.” she advises the model while quickly reviewing through her pile of papers. turning her attention towards the model, HEEJUNG began talking, “like AECHA has informed you before, we’re taking this time to talk to each of the models and see what their future goals are and if it aligns with what we have in store for you. in my files, the staff members and coaches have recorded how you were during bullet inquiry, which by the way was ranked in the top 5 netflix dramas in korea and top 10 in asia. while they were quite pleased with your performance as ryu dahyun, they were curious to know what you see yourself doing in the near future. are there any specific types of gigs that you’re interested in? perhaps acting in the future while modeling?” HEEJUNG questioned, wanting to hear SUNHWA’s answer.
sunhwa has always been a confident woman, often the type to push herself to her limits when it came to a project, wanting nothing but the highest regards and congratulations upon a job well done. she’s a perfectionist, detail oriented and wanting— so, to have been told her acting performance as part of the bullet inquiry cast had been pleasing ( quiet pleased, at that ) was a major accomplishment in her books. humility was always important, of course, but the blonde felt there was nothing wrong with having a mild abundance of confidence when ones skills were known. it’s praise she’d been expecting to hear, praise that causes a satisfied grin to play at her lips, a small bow being given in thanks for the approval.
that was all she’d needed in order to know acting was still something she could excel in alongside her work as a model.
the blonde is silent for a moment, mulling over thoughts she’d thrown around time and time again. sunhwa didn’t want to be a one trick pony. she wanted to do everything she possibly could— modeling, acting, mc-ing. in her eyes, she felt there was boundless potential for her to shine with. “acting is something i’d love to continue doing, that’s an absolute.” her words are clear, head held high and back straight, gaze locking with heejung. “i’ll be graduating university with a bfa in acting this year, and while modeling is of course the focus i enjoy having career wise, i would also love it if my degree wasn’t wasting away in a drawer at home.” her words are laced with humor, lips quirking to one side in jest.
“i had a wonderful time taking part in bullet inquiry, so i’m happy to know that staff members enjoyed having me on set, as well— i’d be happy with having more opportunities to act in between my regular modeling gigs.” sunhwas hands are folded neatly in her lap where she’s sat, mood high. she gives another bow, this one a bit deeper, longer. “thank you for wanting to take my opinions and thoughts into consideration. there’s a lot i’d like to do in the future, but this would be a good start.”
