I haven't had much time to write, but...
Ino and Sakura would definitely get tipsy and have an "accident" on 19 separate occasions before admitting they're more than friends.

[Shizune and Kurenai are trying out perfume or something] Shizune: This smells the way Lady Tsunade’s lipstick tastes.
Kurenai: What?
Shizune: What?

Not to be angsty but how many times do you think Shizune has seen Tsunade cry while trying to drink the pain away? How many times do you think she's overhead sobs in the middle of the night and cursed herself for not being able to make the pain go away?
Anyway they should hold hands.

Bound - Tsunade x Shizune Rambling
I have an ongoing compilation of (extremely) short Tsunade/Shizune stories on AO3 and just now, I started thinking about the title again. "Bound." (If I were to go back, I'd probably name it differently.)
It's probably obvious, but "Bound" refers to Shizune's side of their relationship. She is bound to Tsunade by a number of factors: Dan's death, her being Tsunade's student and attendant, and a personal investment in Tsunade's wellbeing. In a way, these kind of go hand in hand.
Presumably, Tsunade accepted Shizune as an apprentice partially if not solely because of Shizune's relation to Dan. At that point, the relationship between Tsunade and Shizune can be read as obligatory - that is, obligation is what binds them.
Flash forward to their selves after they've been traveling a decade or so. Shizune has learned all she can from Tsunade and is capable in both healing and combat. She can return to Konoha at any time. Tsunade, while consistent in her (bad) habits, continues to suffer from her internal turmoil. Shizune knows this and knows that she cannot fix this, but continuously attempts (maybe, sort of) to keep Tsunade in line regarding her debts, gambling, and drinking.
The "obligation" binding Shizune to Tsunade has changed from a student's obligation to learn to an attendant's obligation to serve, or, as Shizune's willingness to stay with Tsunade may suggest, a friend or even caretaker's obligation to look out for someone who, for all her strength, is still hurting inside. My takeaway is that after all they've been through, it's safe to say that Shizune considers Tsunade to be the most important person in her life.
Regarding Tsunade: I feel as if she takes Shizune for granted. But, she's not exactly wrong to do so. If she's in trouble, Shizune will come running if she isn't there already (or on a mission or dead, etc). Shizune is, in a sense, her conscience - even if she chooses to ignore or one-hit KO that conscience. While not emphasized, Tsunade has an implicit trust in Shizune at this point. Notice how Tsunade never seems to worry when it comes to Shizune, her only (unless you include Tonton) moral support for years. It's because she fully knows Shizune's capabilities and that she - barring a few exceptions - will not recklessly throw herself at the enemy.
However you choose to read it, Tsunade and Shizune have an undeniably close bond. My personal conclusion, however, is that Shizune is a bottom with service top energy GOODNIGHT

I want to write more things. I'm trying. These girls need more love. I can't say when, but I want to put something out. School is chaotic and so is my brain. Hopefully some feel-good material comes out of it all.

Sakura barges in like it's her own home. Well, in every way that matters it practically is. And, being "home," Sakura is ready to crash. That is, until she catches a glimpse of Ino staring in horror at her laptop.
"...Ino?" Sakura walks over to the couch and promptly sinks into the cushions next to Ino. "What's wrong? You look like the Boogeyman just burned down the garden." "Worse," Ino mumbles, lifting a finger to point at her screen.
The account associated with this email address has been removed.
"My blog...It's gone, Sakura. Everything I ever posted." Though not entirely sure what the big deal is, Sakura rests her hand over Ino's. "Maybe not all of it. You had some recipes up, right? And some notes about flowers? I'm sure you've got those written down somewhere." She smirks. "And I know you've got a copy of every last selfie you've ever posted right there on your hard drive."
Ino cracks a smile. "What are you trying to say, huh?" Slinking an arm over Ino's shoulder, Sakura leans in close. "What I'm trying to say is...staff sucks and you deserve a nice nap." Ino can see Sakura stifle a yawn. "Well, with an invitation like that, it's pretty hard to say no." Ino leans on Sakura, and the two settle into a comfortable position on the couch.

Ino x sakura
Ino Yamanaka’s first kiss had been with Sakura Haruno.
So had her second
And her third.
…and her fourth…and fifth..
The first had been when they were little, as a childish greeting followed by  “Yes Sakura-chan, the bow really does suit you, you look pretty!” (Ino was later told by her rather amused father that no- you kiss friends on the cheek not the lips as a greeting.)
The second had been when they were older, having graduated from the academy- that one had been a complete accident, both the girls walking away red faced and unable to form words. Ino had gone to confront Sakura about her apparent A rank mission, and…alright so Sakura had tripped trying to act all cool, and rival or not, Ino had gone to catch her. and she had. with her mouth. (she tasted Sakura’s strawberry lip gloss for weeks afterwards.)
The third? Okay, that one hadn’t been an accident. But Sakura could have died during that mission and Ino had been so scared, especially when she’d been told her ‘rival’ was in the hospital after chasing after a murderous bloodthirsty psychopath who liked to turn people into puppets with her team and team Gai. That pink haired idiot. An Akatsuki member, really?! So what if she’d cried? And so what if she’d hugged the life out of her friend, not paying any attention to her pained complaints Sakura had whined out playfully?…and so what if she’d grabbed her face and kissed her soundly on the lips before taunting her and storming out of the room to go see Shikamaru- leaving the flustered and sputtering Sakura behind.
Their fourth kiss? It’d been one full of tears and “Sasuke-kun” and “I tried to kill him Ino please don’t hate me”. She’d replied similarly, holding the girl close, murmuring softly against her lips “It’s okay, are you hurt?” and “Don’t you ever put yourself in danger like that again you idiot.”
The fifth kiss. Well, that had been the day the war officially ended. Ino had walked right up in front of everyone- Long dead Hokage, the ninja alliance and everyone she’d ever known watching her as she did so. She’d grabbed the dirty and injured pinkette by her arms, and just…kissed her. Kissed her until she was breathless and Naruto started cheering. “God damn it forehead, stop doing stupid things you fucking idiot.” “Love you too Ino”

More from the ol’ draft folder. Vagueness and gayness. And a baby.
Vinca
An average home in a relatively quiet part of the village. The perfect place for a new mother and her child. There’s plenty of shopping and housewarming to do, but Sakura is certain she'll feel perfectly comfortable here very soon. She smiles at the baby sleeping soundly in her arms. “Thank you, Shizune.” With a smile of her own, Shizune unlocks the front door. “My pleasure. It's good to have you back.” She opens the door, and Sakura steps inside.
“The village has already changed a lot,” Sakura says, slipping off her shoes. “There must be tons to catch up on.” She walks farther into the house, noting furniture already present. “Wow. It looks like I don't have to spend hours flipping through furniture catalogs. Thank you.” “I can't be credited,” Shizune says. “Ino was the one who insisted on making this place as cozy as possible. She's very excited about your homecoming, you know.”
“You're absolutely right,” a familiar voice says, accompanied by footsteps. “Figures,” Sakura says. Ino appears from behind a corner, and she offers a smile before her gaze falls to the sleeping baby. “That's her, huh?” Ino steps closer and lowers her voice to a near whisper. “Hey there, Sarada. I'm Ino. If you ever need help or some time away from your mama, you can always come to me. Sakura hates fun.” Sakura rolls her eyes. “That's really the first thing you're gonna say, huh?” Ino half-ignores her, commenting, “She has your forehead.” Before Sakura can quip back, though, Ino places a kiss on Sarada's forehead.
Sakura stares at Ino’s gentle expression in silence, until Ino looks up. “You want one too?” “Maybe later,” Sakura jests. Shizune clears her throat. “Well, um, I should probably get going. I've got a few errands to run with Lady Tsunade. We'll be doing some grocery shopping. Would you like me to pick up anything for you?” “Way ahead of you,” Ino says. “Fridge is stocked. Unless the lady of the house is craving something in particular?” “Honeydew,” Sakura says quietly. “And...any barbecue flavored snack. Sounds weird, right?” Shizune smiles. “No worries, Sakura. It's good to see you.” “Likewise,” Sakura replies before Shizune sees herself out.
“So,” Sakura says. “So,” Ino mimics. Sarada begins to squirm, and Sakura gently rocks her until she settles back into peaceful sleep. “There's a nursery,” Ino says. “I mean, well duh there's a nursery. I meant if you wanted to put her down in a cradle for a bit, there's...yeah.” “You forget how to talk while I was gone?” Sakura asks. “Lead the way.” Instead of coming up with a snarky comment, Ino simply starts walking. With Sakura close behind, she passes through the living room and walks down a hallway with several doors. “Master bedroom,” she says, nodding to the right. She then nods to the left. “Nursery.” “You seem a bit off,” Sakura says, walking into the nursery. She sets Sarada in the cradle carefully and watches. Sarada only babbles before grabbing a nearby stuffed animal and continuing to doze.
“Definitely your kid,” Ino whispers, earning her a nudge in the arm. “Come on,” Sakura whispers back, exiting to the hallway. Ino follows. “Okay,” Sakura sighs. “I'm only going to ask this once. What's going on?” Ino shrugs and without warning pulls Sakura into a hug. “I missed you. And, well, you know. That thing I mentioned before you left. Still true. Come to think of it, you never did answer my question.”
Sakura reminisces the last day she spent with Ino before she left Konoha. They did have some deep conversations that day. Sure, she'd known for ages, but an outright “I love you” was not something Sakura had anticipated. Her inability to say it back never quite stopped gnawing at her. “I think you already know, Ino.” Ino prepares to speak but stops herself. Sakura just got back. This isn't the time to lash out. What are they, teenagers? “Now that you’re back, I’ve got a million more questions. But I'm happy with this for now. Welcome home.”

I haven’t written much lately and I’m trying to get out of my writer’s block but in the meantime have this year-old thingy from my drafts. (I don’t think I’ve posted it anywhere...) Tsunade and Shizune go shopping!
Clearance
Shizune. Sweet, innocent Shizune. If anything she was cute, like a puppy or a bunny or...a pig. But now Shizune was in a suit. And she looked, well, attractive. Very much so. Tsunade took a few moments to register that the woman before her was, in fact, Shizune. She'd been so used to the sight of her attendant in a kimono that anything besides that or a standard shinobi uniform was a shock.
“Um...Lady Tsunade? Are you okay? Don't tell me, are the buttons one off?” Shizune looked down at the suit jacket to examine the buttons. Tsunade cleared her throat. She really needed to hold herself together. “I only wanted to say you look...very. Um. Good grief, you're gorgeous.” That was one way to say it. Shizune's face lit up with a pure, contagious joy. “Why, thank you! You look lovely as well, Milady.” Tsunade found that hard to believe, seeing how she was in her normal clothes and had yet to reapply her lipstick. Speaking of which, lipstick would probably make a good addition to Shizune's look. “Hey, Shizune.” Tsunade placed one hand on Shizune's shoulder and dug in her pocket with the other. “Hold still.” She located her trusty lipstick and removed it from her pocket, eager to get to work. Shizune did as she was told, standing perfectly still as Tsunade painted her lips pink. “And there we go. Matches your cheeks.”
“Huh?!” Shizune touched her cheeks, trying to feel for abnormal heat. She wasn't running a fever, as far as she knew. And she hadn't been embarrassed or frantic - okay, now she was starting to feel those things because Tsunade had insinuated that she was blushing when she wasn't...and now she was. “Oh. You did that purpose. Well, I hope you're proud of yourself.” Shizune pouted as Tsunade raised her hand high to pat her head. “I am. I'm also going to buy you that suit.” “Are you sure?” Shizune asked. “You're better off putting that money toward your de-” “To the register!” Tsunade pointed in a direction where no registers were located. Shizune sighed. “Oh, Lady Tsunade, what am I to do with you?” Yet, she couldn't help but smile. “I'll get changed. Try not to run off anywhere.” Tsunade rolled her eyes. “Sheesh, I'm not a child.”
By the time Shizune had changed back into her kimono, Tonton had guided Tsunade to the clearance section.

Honestly I don't like the pacing of this at all and the second half especially is a mess but I'm too lazy to rewrite so here goes nothing.
When the Moon Kisses the Ocean
Shizune has largely tuned out the conversation, only picking up bits and pieces of dialogue as Tsunade and Jiraiya chat and bicker. Really, she’s been more focused on petting Tonton and keeping track of Tsunade's sake consumption.
Shizune takes a sip of sake herself. Midnight Glory Chronicles. Well, it's more discreet than Jiraiya’s choice of titles. And it's about women. Another hesitant sip. Tsunade glances over, but continues her conversation with Jiraiya. Shizune doesn't consider herself a pervert by any means - "prude" would describe her much better. Her reading habits tend toward medical ninjutsu scrolls, books about flowers and nature, sometimes poetry and history - but never romance. Let alone the lewd things in the back of the bookstore.
The sake seems quite appealing this particular night. Shizune takes another sip. “Lady Tsunade, I'm going to take Tonton home. She seems pretty tired.” Tsunade looks down at Tonton curled up comfortably in Shizune's lap and smiles. “Alright. Do you plan on coming back?” “Um…” Shizune pauses. If she were to hypothetically visit the bookstore after putting Tonton to bed, she'd have about ten minutes to do it...if she were to do it. And if she were to go back home after perhaps purchasing a book, she'd be able to make a pretty good dent in it since Tsunade and Jiraiya typically talk for hours and almost always end up drunk.
“I didn't think the question was that hard,” Tsunade teases. Shizune takes Tonton into her arms and stands. “My apologies. I think I just want to go lie down. Lord Jiraiya, please make sure she doesn't exceed five drinks. Thank you!” She bows, and exits a bit more hastily than she would have liked.
One passive benefit of being a trained shinobi is the ability to get places quickly without being seen. Shizune hasn't really needed to be sneaky since returning to Konoha, save for the occasional mission or payment of Tsunade's gambling debts. But in this particular situation, she's especially thankful that she can drop Tonton off at home and close in on the bookstore in just a few minutes.
Shizune backs into a narrow alley between the bookstore and a small café. She takes a quick look around to ensure that no one can see, and then performs a transformation jutsu. Shizune's looks don't stand out...at all. But she is Tsunade's right hand, and that alone has caused more than one person to stop her on the street and ask if they've met before. If Shizune were to keep one thing from her traveling days, it would be the relative peace and quiet (that Tsunade managed to shatter no matter where they went). No one poked into her or Tsunade's business, and they didn't care. Except for the debt collectors, but Tsunade very much was their business…
Shizune snaps out of her thoughts. The book. She's here for the book. Maybe. It's a curiosity thing. It's not like she's aching to read stories about women getting it on. It's a whim. Some self-exploration perhaps. Sexuality itself had become a strange topic to consider over the years, with all the town-hopping. No time for romance. Not with an emotionally scarred drunk gambling addict to take care of. Shizune slaps her forehead. The book!
Shizune walks out of the alley and enters the bookstore. “Good evening,” a cashier greets. “We're closing soon. Please let me know if you need help finding something.” If only she knew. Shizune smiles. “I think I'll be fine. Thank you.” She makes for the back of the shop, eyes skimming the signs of different sections. Nonfiction, coloring books, historical fiction, dictionaries, adult literature. Shelves of raunchy titles, some manga...and on the very bottom, Midnight Glory Chronicles, Book 1: When the Moon Kisses the Ocean. Kind of a cheesy title, but the cover is a dark blue velvet and gives away nothing about the book’s contents. Before she can start second-guessing herself, Shizune makes for the checkout counter. She hands the cashier a paper bill. “Keep the change. Thank you!” And then she's off.
In just minutes, Shizune is home, transformation jutsu released. She takes a quick bath, puts on her coziest pajamas, and sits in bed with the book she'd bought on the strangest whim. Maybe it was the power of suggestion? Jiraiya can be charismatic...sometimes. Well, whatever the reason, Shizune is here now with this book she probably shouldn't have bought. She may as well read.
For Red. I'll tell you someday, if you don't figure it out first.
When the Moon Kisses the Ocean
I.
“The ocean is constantly moving. Roaring. Unstable. Terrifying in its power, with a surface so fragile. Sometimes I like to think of myself as the ocean. I'm certainly wishy-washy enough. I never know what I want. But in eerily calm moments when the surface is still, I can see clearly just how beautiful the moon is. The moon that pulls me with her gravity, the moon that I can only reflect. If only the moon could be a little more like the sun and submerge herself in me. How long I've held onto this wish, I don't know. I lost count after-”
I slam my diary shut. You give me that smirk. “Writing embarrassing stuff again?” You're a pro at reading me by now. “Something like that,” I mumble. Maybe you are more like the sun. Lately I haven't been able to look directly at you. I know you've noticed. Whether you'll say anything or wait for me to speak up, I have no clue.
---
Shizune yawns and flips another page. She should probably get to bed. After this chapter.
XIV.
I have no idea what I expected your lips to taste like, but I know they taste a million times better than anything my imagination could have ever come up with. They taste like relief, closure, satisfaction, risk. You pull me closer, like you're protecting me from the fears that visit and whisper in my ear every night. You won't have any of it. “You are so beautiful,” you say, and for the first time in my life I consider that it might be true. I try to match the compliment but you kiss me again, and my mind goes blank. My body burns under your touch as your fingertips explore my skin, like a wildfire of lust. I want you. I need you. I crave you so desperately. “Please,” I manage as our lips part once more. You reply in a husky voice, equally hungry, “I-
The knob on the apartment door turns. Shizune slams the book shut and hides it under her pillow. The door opens and Tsunade stumbles inside. “Baaack.” It seems she had more than five drinks. Or maybe five exactly. She has been cutting back. At least she can walk on her own, more or less. “I'm surprised you're not sleepin’ yet, Shizune.” Tsunade kicks off her shoes and stumbles to her bed, promptly falling into the mattress when she reaches her destination. “I'm gonna sleep…”
Shizune says nothing as Tsunade all but passes out. Mumbles fade into soft snores, and Shizune tries to relax as well. It is late, after all. And reading a love scene while someone else is in the room is a bad idea, no matter how invested she is in the story. Shizune shifts around in her bed, fumbling with the blanket and truthfully struggling a bit to get comfortable. Sleep. She needs to sleep.
Shizune doesn't fall asleep until sunrise.
---
“...zune. Shizune, I made lunch. There we go!” Tsunade's voice coaxes Shizune out of her sleep. “Are you sick or what? It's already afternoon.” With a groan, Shizune rolls over so that she faces away from Tsunade. “I'm sorry. It was hard to get to sleep last night…” Apparently unsatisfied with that answer, Tsunade takes a seat on the edge of Shizune's bed. “You know, you started acting weird right before you brought Tonton home. Was it something Jiraiya said?” Of course she'd remember the one night Shizune truly, truly wishes she wouldn't.
After receiving no response, Tsunade continues. “The book’s pretty interesting.” Shizune slides a hand under her pillow. Nothing is there. Shit. “I was just curious,” she says quietly. “I don't know why I just...Can we please pretend this never happened?” The answer is no. Tsunade lightly grasps Shizune's shoulder and pulls her onto her back. Their eyes meet, despite the look on Shizune's face that could turn into a teary mess at any second. “There's nothing wrong with being gay,” Tsunade says with a smile. “I remember freaking out a little when I realized I wasn't into just guys. Everyone takes it differently, I guess.” She sighs, remembering times long past.
Shizune rolls back onto her side. “I'm gay?” she mumbles. “I'm...I'm gay. That's...That makes sense.” Tsunade scratches her head. “I did cross quite a few lines, didn't I?” She grimaces, rethinking her actions. “Sorry. The more I think about it the more I realize how bad what I just did was. If someone had just confronted me out of nowhere when I was your age…” She fumbles through an extensive apologetic ramble, and Shizune closes her eyes. Tsunade's voice right now is reassuring. She won't tell a soul. There's no judgement, no shame. Everything will be fine. Just like before. “...So long story short, I...uh. Page sixty-one.” Tsunade places the book by Shizune's head and stands up. “Come get lunch soon, please.” She walks toward the kitchen.
Shizune props herself up on her forearms and opens the book. Way, way too much has just happened. There are too many feelings and thoughts bouncing around. Page sixty-one, page sixty-one…
Everything is going way too fast. All the feelings in my chest feel like they're going to explode. They need to be free, and all these things I need to express will probably push you away. I'm sorry. I need to be selfish once again. “I know you like girls.” Your trademark smirk fades. Wait. I'm not done. “And you probably knew along that I like girls too. And, and…” Why am I choking up? “The one girl that I want to be with is you.” Did I screw up? I guess I'll find out soon enough. I can only pray that I didn't just fuck up my most treasured friendship. “I love you. I had to say it, just once. We can pretend it didn't happen. Still be best friends.” I lose what remains of my composure and start sniffling, right there in front of you. I rub at my eyes but the tears roll down my cheeks. How embarrassing.
Shizune looks at the number in the top corner of the page. Tsunade did say sixty-one, right? Does that mean? That means… “Huh?!” Shizune remembers the kiss that happens on the next page...and other events that occur some chapters later. Love? Is that what she'd been mistaking for fear so often when looking at Tsunade? That warm feeling when Tsunade would drunkenly hug or curl up next to her during their travels? The joy of seeing Tsunade genuinely happy?
Shizune sighs. Way too much truly is going on. But maybe it's overdue. She gets out of bed and takes the book in one hand. It's time for lunch.
