Freedom. Finally.
It was fairly easy coming out to my brother, my college friends, my law school friends and officemates (spanning ten years, give or take a few). And I don't mind the occasional tahong joke. It kinda grows on you.
Parents. Now they're a bit tricky. I never thought that there would be any significance of telling them that I'm gay, thinking that of course they know. How could they possibly NOT KNOW?
But there could never be any significance if one does not say it out loud and clear.
I've imagined coming out to them several times, all played out differently. Different scenarios. Different dialogues. Different endings. Well one of them happened.
Freedom. Finally.
