Oh boy you can't imagine how helpful this is
Usually what I do when I want to make the colours of the characters match a background is I use their neutral palettes, then use adjustment layers with different colours (set to Multiply, Overlay, Add, etc) to make them fit.
However, recently I’ve tried to put more time into colour selection, where I’ll still use the neutral palette as a base, but create all new colours that reflect that original palette, while also fitting the background, and in a lot of cases, I think it’s turned out better than my old method.
So I got bored and wound up doing that for Steven a bunch of times.
