Nikki tries to support as much of her own weight as she can in her weakened state. Though she can barely hold herself up, she doesn’t want to burden the other too much. The shifter is desperate to get to where they’re going, wants to quicken their pace but she’s just so tired.
It seems like it takes ages for them to reach their destination, and when they manage, Nikki all but collapses.
Ai finally let the wolf down at the door, collapsing against it herself, barely able to draw enough breath to stand. She managed to grab at the handle, toppling into the house.
“I-huh, huh, huh, I’ll-huh, huh, be back.”
With two large breaths, she drug herself up, stumbling into the supply room. She grabbed as many bottles as she could, trying to think back to which ones were useful. She clicked one of the smaller vials open, and sniffed it- bear piss, wasabi, and carrots... it didn’t smell consumable, but she chugged it down, feeling a bit of her mana return.
She returned to her injured companion with her arm clutched over her mouth to make sure her stomach contents stayed still. She took one last gulp before beginning to close the wounds.
“Don’t worry. You’ll be fine now for sure.”

“If it’s that serious maybe you should learn it with us.” He suggested not sure how else to give her a piece of mind.

Ai tossed around her potion, flipping it around in the air and catching it, still a bit rattled, having been attacked immediately after accidentally landing in the wrong place.

She was beginning to have a sneaking suspicion that this boy had no clue what he was holding.
“You do know that when this spell says that it evokes crashing waves to devastate your enemies, it’s talking about a tsunami, right?”
“Eh? Really? Well, I’m sure I’ll be the exception.” He said, confidently.
“Hm, well, maybe it’s more for educational purposes? Or it’s just a mistake.” He guessed. Not really think much of it. He truly didn’t understand how powerful the spells in this book were. They just seemed really cool to him.

“A... day or two? I mean, I don’t mind, but I doubt that level of evocation can be picked up without at least a week, assuming you’re a truly that swift to pick up.”
“I’m almost surprised they’d keep it for public use in a library, for how destructive it can be.”
She’d been taught a strong sense of freedom of information for sure, but... after hearing about this one being public, she’d had a pit in her stomach. Hopefully this boy knew what he was grabbing.
The twins we’re currently looking at spell books in the library. So far they hadn’t found what they had been looking for but the title of this next book seemed promising. Right when he went to grab it so did someone else. “Oh, sorry. Do you mind if I take this? It shouldn’t be more than a day or two.” Truthfully Andrew wasn’t really sure how long it took to master spells. But, hopefully it wasn’t much longer than that.
