andhdjdhdnfejkejfjfidhwhfb I remember two people asked for the new blog url when I first made it but that blog was terminated for some still-unknown reason I don't know if it had to do with the url and I still haven't gotten a reply from support so...I remade. again. with a different url. I wanted to check my ask box to message you two but I'm on mobile rn and don't have xkit on mobile and I can't check my 'outbox' so...pls message me again and I'll give the new(er) url ;;

So, I’m doing a thing. A bit late for the beginning of the new year, but I guess it could still be for new year’s.

I’m making a ‘fresh start’ on tumblr. Made a new blog. I’ll be keeping this one around, it’s still got a bunch of sideblogs, good memories, and all the blogs I followed so I can see which ones I still want to follow.

Unfortunately it also has 2-3ish+ years of salt, depression- and/or anxiety-induced ranting, and various posts involving people I am no longer on good terms with and would quite frankly rather not talk to again or see on my blog.

Thus: new blog. If you’d like to keep following me where I’ll hopefully be more active again, send me an ask here OFF ANON and I’ll decide if I’m ok sharing the new url with you. The new blog will be like this one is/was, a mix of xiv screenshots, shenanigans, and things from my personal life. Fair warning that the depression and anxiety will likely follow, but as always I’ll keep things under a readmore

*if I get any traffic/asks/etc on my sideblogs here I will reply to them as necessary, it’ll just take me longer.

just had someone tell me that thordan extreme requires no planning and honey I will fuckin fight you I have that shit locked down on farm

we wiped the first time, and they replied very condescendingly when I politely suggested something to make the part we wiped to easier to manage. we cleared the second time, but not after having one tank nearly die from poor mitigation, 3 of the 4 dps die at least once, 2 dying twice, 1 dying 3 times (all were to easily manageable aoes), and the other healer dying right as we reached the shitshow that is the heavensward mages and dragoons going aoe happy at the end.

the cherry on top was when I was the only one who didn’t die (except to the wipe), despite not running the trial in literal months and having a mouse that refuses to work half the time.

tl;dr I get salty when people try to tell me I don’t know thordan extreme.

well a friend linked me to a thing someone posted about their character and I feel the urge to happy scream

not sure how many followers know, but I’m transgender. I don’t use my birth name on here, or with friends. only with family (and I’m working on that). I haven’t used my birth name around people outside my family for about 3 years now. my current fc is an exception, but a lot of us use different names than we were given at birth and we share a bunch of personal stuff anyway.

I wouldn’t say I hate my birth name. I just have a different one now that I like a lot more. even so, whenever I see my birth name anywhere, it makes me really really happy. know why? because it’s never on anything. it’s not a common name, it’s not popular by any means, and it was always misspelled and mispronounced as another name because it was one goddamn letter off.

about two years ago I started playing xiv. I started in gridania. and there’s an npc in that city-state with my birth name. and an important npc at that. not just some character model dropped in-game to be a random background merchant. it’s one that everyone sees and interacts with in the game, multiple times, regardless of where they start. I nearly cried.

now I’ve been shown that someone else saw my birth name somewhere. they liked it. they liked it so much they used it for one of their characters’ children.

they don’t know me and probably never will but you have no idea how happy it makes me to see that someone likes my name enough to use it. even if they don’t associate it with me, if it’s not the name I use regularly, or if it’s one that almost no one knows I even have. I haven’t felt this happy since I learned about Krem in da:i being transgender.

I’ll just sit here internally happy-screaming now.
