Kamiki has always had issues feeling welcome anywhere even around friends who time and again try to convince him otherwise. So when Soetsu asks for him to stay, he stops in his tracks and pushes his glasses up the bridge of his nose (a nervous tick, of sorts). “A-are you sure? I don’t want to intrude.. i can probably walk. Or find a bus or a cab or something..” he rambles with a furrow of brows. It was bad enough that he’d come knocking on his friend’s door so late at night because of his foster family but to have the other offer him his bed? There was no way he could accept such kindness.

Koki had such thoughts running through his head quite often. More often than he was willing to admit. For some reason he let himself voice his thoughts today. When the younger spoke up, he was buried in said thoughts. Koki’s head jerked a bit as he was pulled to reality. He let out a shy chuckle, a hand coming up to run through his hair.

“I guess. You’ve been hanging out with me for this long..I guess I just feel out of place sometimes.” His shoulders shrugged as he dismissed the topic. “So I was gonna get something else to eat? Wanna come with?”

Kamiki only offers a warm, reassuring smile when the other finally looks at him again “Well whenever you feel that way, you know you can just tell me ne? And i’ll put you right back in place because you’re one of the coolest people i know.” Though he’s sure that Koki has hardly completely let go of the issue, he decides not to push too much and simply agrees when he changes the topic.

“Sure. Whatever you feel like. We can even eat until we’re both bulging out of our clothes!”

There’s a furrow of brows and he rubs his nose as he tries to think of what to say in response. He’s not even sure what brought this on, honestly. When they’d decided to hang out with a couple of other friends, he’d thought they’d all have a good time but since leaving, it seemed the whole evening had put Koki in a mood of sorts.

”What are you saying? They’re not more interesting. You’re plenty interesting!” he reassures the other, giving him a gentle nudge in the side.
