when when you want to see content but you are the only one who can create it
#me#with most of my donghua and manhua fandoms#but it’s worse when I really love them but I don’t quite have enough passion to create something#(I juggle so many brain rots it’s hard to feel like…an intense visceral desire to create for *all* of them#but obviously consuming can be a different story entirely)#eg me with Bing Xing Xia Deng (秉性下等) a while ago#where I just looped the audio drama over and over again x’D#because it only had one fic in Chinese on Ao3 (haven’t checked Lofter yet) and only a handful of fan artworks I could find#so I am kind of glad almost to be into 188男团 right now even though I keep quiet online to avoid…well. antis tbh#(and for this I mean specifically 你却爱着一个傻逼 and 小白杨 but it extends to the rest of the 188男团 too by association lmao)#it’s underrated enough I actually feel compelled to talk about it—even if everything I’ve written has stayed in my Twitter drafts for now#(part of the reason I grow quieter in fandoms is because they grew much bigger so I don’t feel a need to speak up#such as sometimes now with SVSSS or even Erha)#but 188男团 is also popular enough—at least in China and Vietnam—that I can still find content to happily consume#it’s still not a lot and I’m craving more lately but it’s food!!!#kuku rambles#in the tags#I have literally translated like 5 different Ao3 and Lofter fics and scenes from Chinese#I have saved countless artworks from China that Vietnamese pages shared#I’ve scavenged for both Douyin videos in Chinese and TikTok videos in Vietnamese/Burmese (despite not knowing ANY Viet/Burmese)#I have hunted down old audio drama stuff that got subbed by Vietnamese fans#and new audio drama content that Chinese fans can access on MaoEr FM#it is INSANE#I have not felt brain rot this intense in a while haha#but I am happy#it takes me back to my early SVSSS and Erha and even Mo Dao Zu Shi days#when I would also desperately scavenge out of passion for content like this#anyway basically what I’m saying is: this is just your daily life if you’re a fan of Chinese media ALFNSKFHSKDHS#in fact if you’re into danmei or even maybe cdramas you’re luckier than if you’re into donghua or manhua#still not enough fans for donghua/manhua in general out there in the west *screams into the void*
