i think with the sims 4 being boring, ts4 cc shopping and culture being very aggressively about money and early access, and simblr just in general hating to reblog other ppl’s stuff (among also being racist, xenophobic, fatphobic, etc etc)…is probably why alotta people be burned out, give up on simblr or take really long breaks because the world is also shitty and simblr definitely doesn’t alleviate the stress and pain nowadays

Speaking of racism within community ive been keeping this inside for a while bc i didnt want to be harassed but the way some people make/play their asian sims is VERY off to me as an asian person. I might not be east asian , but im west asian and i can still pick out obvious (to me atleast) fetishism. Things like using FOOD names for ocs, using koreaboo/otaku like language, only having east asian men be femme and sexualized (theres nuance to this obviously.) , using skimpy japanese school uniforms, skimpy traditional clothes etc etc etc. You might think we dont notice but I do and it bothers me. East asian people are not there to be romanticized and sexualized by you and i really push you all to think before you post something because i can smell an asian fetishist from miles away. Anyways

why the fuck is it more important to some of these people that mack speaks up about cc for the goddamn sims than it is that she actively appropriates the struggles of lgbtq+ people and poc to make her points? that she talks about someone else's self harm to win arguments? that she says histrionic and outright offensive things about how someone's going to have to die for people to pay attention? that she outright blames people who "stay silent" (while comparing her plight for video game mods to legitimate human rights causes) for sexual harassment, doxxing, abuse, etc? that she personally admitted to weaponizing texas by telling them things that happened knowing they would fly off the handle and verbally assault people using ableism, racism, transphobia, etc and only cut off that relationship after it started getting her heat? that she's always in black peoples' business and constantly attacks black women in particular with much more ferocity than other creators? that she's attacking people who have never done anything but create free content and support the same thing she does, just not the exact way she wants them to? that she is still casually using cowbuild's full name while talking about doxxing? that she voted not once but twice for a fully loaded bigot and instead of taking responsibility just starts gaslighting or getting other white people to defend her? that she's manipulative and uses guilt trips to get her way all the fucking time? people jump to saying "but she's done so much for the community" and it's actually disgusting to see that access to content for the fucking sims matter more to so many people online than marginalized people and they're more than willing to throw themselves full-force behind someone who's done nothing but make the situation worse and get other people brutalized just so she can get some attention on herself. because that's what this is about. she got her feelings hurt and now she needs attention for it and she's upset that not everyone is patting her on the back and calling her a hero and thanking her for her service in the war for basic human rights aka custom content for the sims 4. it is not about paywalls anymore. she wants to be a martyr, but she's just a meddlesome hypocrite who's resorted to the same tactics as those she criticizes. it makes me so uneasy how many people legitimately praise the fact that she's "doing work" and "speaking up" about things that i've seen several poc speak on for years since the very beginning when she's just. being horribly offensive and making light of so many things and no one cares as long as there's a chance they'll get their goddamn cc for free. it's all about the pay-out for so many people.
