it is alright, no unnecessary drama, hopefully! krp can be considered as problematic. i personally can see the points that people offer (only allowing korean fcs, roleplaying stereotypes, referring to the idols as babies, thirsting over them, yellow fever in general...) and don't support problematic behavior either. however, for example, if you just like kpop and kdramas, maybe you want to choose a fc out of something you like (as does anyone, i suppose) and as long as you aren't roleplaying them in any offensive, racist or stereotypical way it should be okay for you to do that.

after all, krps emerged because asian faceclaims used to get less interaction in roleplays, so these kpop / jpop roleplays popped up because you could roleplay with people who had similar interests.

since krp has been called problematic over and over in the tags, a lot of graphic creators (themes, gif icons, gif packs, templates) have stated in their rules that, if you are roleplaying in krp, you aren't allowed to use their resources.

so whenever you are looking for something, make sure to read the creator's rules!

hello! it's refreshing to see a blog like this looking to help members of the rp community. with past experiences in receiving anon hate/harassment about graphics and such, would you consider putting together/receiving names of graphic creators who have stated to NOT use their work in krp? as a way to help those in the krp community know what should or shouldn't be used out of respect for creators and rper's privacy/safety?

thank you for your message! yes, i have sadly also seen one or the other message about using graphics... if i could, i would definitely make a list, however i am not sure how to collect all of these creators as there are so many types of graphics (gif packs, gif icons, ad templates, psds, other templates, overlays, themes... it's a lot of stuff)!

however, if i am browsing around and come across any creators stating to particularly not use their works in krps i can start making a list!

in the meanwhile, the most important thing is to stay civil and respectful with each other! we, as the roleplayers, have to read the creators rules and respect it if they do not want their work used within krp, and on the other hand, people have to be civil about letting rpers know when they are using content not designed for them. it might just be an oversight and there is no reason to immediately send hate messages either. 😞 i just hope for peaceful coexistence! personally, i always first assume to not being able to use most resources, as i think a big part of them have forbidden usage in krp.

your roleplay idea: i want to make a scifi and ai au that takes slight inspiration from sao (swort art online) but has my own little spin on it. i want to make this for tumblr (or mewe? if tumblr doesn't work out). its general theme/concept has a darker undertone to it, but i think it will still be a fairly lighthearted rp outside of events because i don't want to have too heavy of an rp. ideally, it would be flexible enough to let both lit and semi-lit writers feel at home (because i do understand others have lives they lead outside of rp), but i think it would be more on the literate side just because of all i'm envisioning. it would be nice if i had someone to talk to this about to see if this is a good idea, and someone to help me work on it.

i would definitely be interested in making a masterlist for independent blogs on tumblr! i can also always reblog / post your 1x1 ads, so just send them in! 😌 once i have received some accounts, i will put up a link to the masterlist on the navigation. 

as for mewe, i am not super experienced with freelance, however i quickly made a group you can join and post in if you are a freelance roleplayer on there, you can find it here! i will do my best to keep it up-to-date.
