mildly unsettling people‼️‼️‼️
tried out a new brush and WHOOWEE🔥🔥🔥
AVALANCHE of info-dumping/hcs below the cut bc I rlly wanted to info-dump
- purified temple bosses au. 1st one is Ginnrah, formerly Queen Gibdo. 2nd one is Mora, formerly Mucktorok. 3rd one is Colgiri, formerly Colgera, and 4th one is Gohru, formerly Marbled Gohma. the seized construct of the spirit temple is obviously not involved in this au because it is not its own organic being, rather a zonai construct machine that is possessed by gloom. no organic body to go off of.
- let it be known, they are not "uncorrupted". they were not originally mortals turned monsters. they were molded by the power of the demon king, born as secret stone-guarding beasts. the sheer blinding power of the goddess hylia, through her sword alone, purified the once empty husks, giving them sentience, souls, and morphing them into a "mortal"-like shape. 99.9% of their beings have broken away from the demon king. they are completely unaware of their past lives or the identity of the demon king, other than the occasional vague flashback, nightmare or night terror. their blank moral slates were molded by the people around them, and they have joined the side of good.
- however, they are still connected by one thing, other than the obvious exposure to raw gloom, which will tamper with their sanity and make them fall ill. the peak of ganon's power, lingering in the atmosphere under the crimson moonlight. the blood moon, which will put them in unfightable trances, forcing them to come out of hiding and gaze into it like zombies. it will temporarily corrupt them and mutate them back into the beasts they once were, and only when the morning sun rises, or if they are slain once more, will they return to normal. there are measures that can be taken to help them fight ganon's allure, such as direct physical contact of sundelions, gloom resistant and gloom healing elixirs, either consumed or applied on the skin, and sealing them away tightly in a place with no visibility of the sky that they would struggle to break out of. so they're basically like werewolves, but with the blood moon.
- the replicas of the temple bosses in the depths are not the actual beasts, but gloom-made copies taking their form, which also explains why multiple of the same bosses can simultaneously exist in the depths at once. they are essentially just gloom clones.
- so as funny (or possibly angsty) as it is, it is technically 100% possible that link could take pictures in the depths of the bosses and literally show them to their faces what they used to look like in full detail (which would either amaze or traumatize them)
- in a "they are canon and in-game" hypothetical, you would be able to find the other three in or around their respective towns at any time of the day or night. EXCEPT for Ginnrah, who hides away in the underground shelter during the day, and only comes out to wander gerudo town at night. the only place she would EVER be in gerudo town during the day is probably in the throne room, staying near Riju.
- speaking of Ginnrah, she tries her best to hide her inhuman body parts. she wraps her secondary pair of arms tightly around her body, tucks her tail between her legs, folds her thin, tiny wings in and holds them flat against her back, and covers her mouth with a draping mask, similar to the face covering in links gerudo disguise in botw. she unfortunately cannot do anything to comfortably or discretely hide her antennas or small horns. the only people she trusts enough to comfortably keep these body parts exposed around are Link, Riju, Buliara, and the other purified temple bosses.
- maybe not to the same volume or strength, but ironically, the purified temple bosses still have some of their powers they held as monsters. Ginnrah can shoot concentrated beams of sand from her mouth and kick up sand tornadoes. Mora can manipulate water and mud to create various giant animals and pilot them in battle, most primarily used being a shark, electric eel, dragon (long and wingless, similar to the fire, ice, lightning, light and demon dragons), and manta ray. Colgiri can summon tornadoes and manifest spikes of rock and ice, sending them flying at his opponents. Gohru can summon and wield a giant hammer/mallet as a primary/melee weapon (that is shaped like and looks like his own actual corrupted marbled leg), along with some fire breathing and some minor earth + fire manipulation.
- Ginnrah is an introvert. Colgiri is an introvert. Mora is an extrovert. Gohru is an omnivert.
- Ginnrah is really, really scared of moldugas. but she sticks around with Gohru a lot, who beats the shit outta them for sport. very similar energy to a dynamic of person A being deathly afraid of spiders, and person B not being afraid, and killing them to make person A feel better.
- don't get me wrong, Ginnrah is no "damsel in distress", quite the opposite, and is not afraid to fight for herself. but moldugas??? moldugas. take one good look at a molduga and tell me if you had no runes and no knowledge of them that you wouldn't be at least a LITTLE nervous, I dare you.
- keeping the ball rolling, Ginnrah and Gohru are close :3 very close actually... creature yuri??!? who knows.....
- all 4 of them ARE a tight friend group, though. they hang out and go on trips together a lot and its very silly and nice :3
- Ginnrah is still very sensitive to the elements, and her "skin" will still turn brittle and pale when exposed. not exactly to the huge degree of a full gibdo, though. it won't overtake her entire body, but will just spread around and take up about 15 to 20% of her body at the area of exposure. fire, ice and electricity still have a strong and immediate effect, but she CAN resist water for a good 5 to 10 minutes before it starts doing slow damage. and even then, the "damage" is just the rough parts of her skin getting soft, pale and brittle, which does make her more easily susceptible to injury, but doesn't CAUSE injury, so she'll sometimes take the risk and emerge a sensitive splotchy mess, usually as a result of crawling through the well/tunnel systems that connect gerudo town and the shelter. Riju worries for her lmaoooo
- Ginnrah still has some posture and movement habits from when she was Queen Gibdo. she slouches, she holds her arms and hands in a raptor pose and twiddles her fingers. instead of moving her head to look around, her eyes dart left and right. she has a subconscious habit she's trying to break where her fingers rest in an odd position; her pointer and middle fingers mashed together, separate from her ring and pinkie, also mashed together, making a "v" shape with those two fingers. her walking is sharp and jagged. it earns her a lot of comments, either to her face or behind her back, from other gerudo townsfolk about her being "unpredictable" and "unnerving". she tries to not let it get to her; their nervousness and caution towards her is fully understandable and to be expected, after all. these factors also play into why keeps herself hidden away and avoids publicly active areas.
- Gohru often forgets/underestimates their own natural strength as a goron
- out of all 4 purified temple bosses, Colgiri is the most "approachable". even up close, he looks very similar to just any other rito. maybe he's pretty tall and fluffy, but there's nothing obnoxiously uncanny about his physical appearance. Mora is 2nd (ppl will probably be like "oh. it's an octopus zora. they probably were just born like that; I shouldn't judge). 3rd is Gohru (he would've been fine if it wasn't for being VERY big and tall, and having such humongous sharp teeth and that piercing yellow eye. and those horns). Ginnrah is the freakiest looking :( sorry honey
- Colgiri is no stranger to getting into trouble while exploring the skies above hyrule
yeah. who would've known there was just a literal GLEEOK. just flying around at a completely random spot in the sky. just going in circles. rip bozo </3
- both Mora and Coljiri will sometimes revisit the temples they spawned from to look around, for a change of scenery, or to just clear their heads. Gohru doesn't do this because the fire temple is in the depths, and Ginnrah doesn't do this because even looking at the lightning temple from the safety of gerudo town makes her feel uncomfortable.
- Colgiri and Tulin have an uncle/nephew bond. Gohru and Yunobo are good friends and have that "ayy, brother!!" vibe going. Mora was initially slightly intimidated by the power and royal status Yona and Sidon held, but they both care for him with open arms and see him as family, he lightened up to them quickly. Ginnrah was at first obsessed with and attached to Riju, breaking and pushing herself to "prove she was worthy of her second chance". but she didn't need to prove anything to Riju, and Riju was eventually able to help her understand that and become more independent. they have a very strong friendship now.
- they all have a great deal of respect for Link. their hearts are heavied by the horrible fate of the hylian princess, and the bloodstained history of hyrule. they wish there was more they could do to help.

I have a question? What ever happened to the bosses in the blight au (I think that is what’s it called) the one with the misery wolves. Also I love you dark deception au and think it’s cool :) Also thank you.
TYSMMM IM HAPPY U LIKE MY STUFF‼️‼️
to answer, I've revised and edited it A LOTTT since when I first made it, but it definitely still exists and is still thriving :) just not exactly at this moment because splatoon and totk have momentarily taken up my brain as current hyperfixations, but I certainly haven't forgotten it :)
I had renamed the misery wolves to "hellhounds" as it was more fitting and had a much better ring to it. I changed it a LOT, but I never threw it out, dw :3
I still don't have an official name for it though, but it can be found by searching through the "dark deception au" tag in my blog (along with other different aus but u can just ignore them HDGSH)
I was thinking maybe "decade of silence" because I added a plot point that there were 10 years between the actual takeover of the realms, and when the main mortal character appeared and "fixed" everything (sarah technically appeared 7 years in but failed and got cursed and trapped for 3 years but yknow) but that's still up in the air
shade is the much more "primary" villain now, but I didn't remove blight. he's still in, I'm just still sort of trying to figure out 100% where I wanna place him, what I want him to do, his motives, ect. and like I said, other hyperfixations are getting in the way sooo eugh
again, tysm for enjoying my content :3 I promise I still like dd lmaooo it's just that my brain is (literally) full of fish rn HAGDJDGS
