for once, I'm not in a Porter Robinson (Nurture) mood but instead I'm in a Said the Sky (Sentiment) mood and to be honest, I don't know if that's much better

Help it's 2024 and I'm getting the sudden urge to write for Sweet Home again
Also no, I haven't finished S2 and I refuse to. This is why I'm confused

Was thinking about Paradise Lost again and accidentally wrote what reads kind of like someone having a mild religious crisis
I am not religious where did this come from
Why does it sound like I have Catholic guilt

I didn't mean to write the ships but unfortunately my brain and these characters will not listen to me. However! I have enough control (aka I'm indecisive enough) that I will most likely end up with polycule tadfools

Like all wizards, Gale's mind is his most treasured thing. He might have once said his life was a competitor for that spot, but, well. It's rather difficult in this situation, isn't it? It isn't ideal, but most things aren't. After all, if Gale had his way, he would still be in Waterdeep with Tara and his mother, no illithid parasite hungering after his brain, and no lethal artifact sitting in his chest. He would still be Mystra's chosen and he wouldn't have a magical brand where his soulmarks should be.
Nevertheless, these are the cards that have been dealt, so Gale will make do. Now, if only he could figure out what that strange magic sparking around his heart was and why it seems to activate every time he looks at his companions...
Or: the musings of a wizard and the beginning of a journey

I'm sure others have said this before, but writing Gale's internal monologue is FASCINATING

I may or may not have a mild addiction to using song lyrics as titles
