I'll be posting prompt words every week or so for all those fans who have an interest in both Blue Eye Samurai and poetry...
My main interest is Japanese micropoetry like haiku, tanka, and haibun, but all poetry is welcome! Please note that the 5-7-5 syllable structure is NOT a requirement and is something of a myth (https://www.graceguts.com/essays/urban-myth-of-5-7-5). Even Japanese haikuists don't use it, unless they're writing in a very traditional school.

What's a party without a renga?
So I've been hosting renga parties on discord, and I'm going to start sharing what we create. This week, @dustyfairywings and @kiraman wrote a rengay together!
So a rengay is a modern, simplified version of a traditional Japanese renga, consisting of six verses, and composed by two or three poets. You can read more here: https://www.graceguts.com/rengay
The theme this week was erotic, since Japan has a rich history of erotic poetry.
Pretty sure this is the first Mizukemi fan poem...
