Today I worked on three things.
Tumblr media
1. The harbor. I wasn't happy with the harborside building, which is supposed to be a small mall-like structure, with a tavern, inn, and shops. I expanded it, worked on the roof a lot, and up top I made a crane for the harbor. I built an ore barge under the crane to round it out. I'd like to make a fishing trawler and a few small craft to round out the harbor, maybe some dock fixings, and finish off the ground-floor, but it's coming along well!

2. The ruined fortress.
Standing opposite to the sacred Mount Daruieshte was the Great Fortress. It was ruined during a horrible siege, and now houses much of the werewolf population of Crimsonia. Between the two peaks in the background is a new fortress that is being constructed. I worked on the ruined peak a little more after this picture was taken, so the tippy tops match up at y - 130. Crimsonia preserves this fortress in its ruined state to remind everyone of the great war and the great union that followed it.

3. Towers of dark and light in balance.
A balance between light and dark is at the heart of this project. The light tower is an even-spaced building, while the dark tower is an odd-spaced building. I didn't notice the mismatch at first, but it worked out really well to match my philosophy. These two aspects are not at all similar, but they are close, and balanced together they make all that is. I like adding jumping puzzles into my builds, so I made this one really open-route. Just watch your head! I imagined the purpur blocks gliding through the air while monks leap across the gaps, all training for the higher purpose of balance.

Finished the Blood Prince's palace. It's meant to look unnerving, strange, and a little terrifying to travellers. It is a hulking and twisted home for such a cooly warm-hearted man.
Crimsonia is a representation of my sins, or rather a backdrop for my recount of them. Its halls and windows call forth memories of time we spent together. A time I still can't move on from. I hope you're well. I am not.
Working on this is all that gives me peace. My life is a withered husk that grants no yield and seems to taint all around it. You kept me alive at one point. Perhaps you still do.
Do I live now in my sorry state, or did I die with you?
Without a word in response, I will try and move on, as I have been struggling to. However, I would like to hear from you, if you would like to hear from me.

Hi everyone! Time for another update on my vampire city! I was really struggling to make a single map to aid navigation in the city, as no sequence of zooming or adjusting the actual maps would give me something good enough. I made this large map-art area a very long time ago, so i decided to finally put it to use! It took two days to make as scale a model as i could while keeping it on one map. The city is 7 maps long and i condensed it to just one! I’m proud of myself with this!
still could add in stained glass to denote the districts, a legend, compass rose, and even labels, but i’m not sure if it’s necessary.
if you’re interested in any of the buildings, i can take pictures of specific builds!

This is my favorite view of the city. It’s the one I currently use for the header of this blog! From here you can see a whole bunch of the different builds! From the left to the right is the Cutty Lark trade ship (Based off of Lord Dakr’s on youtube!), the Southern Gatehouse, the Town Hall, the Administration building, the Citadel and Throneroom, the Colonade, the farmhouse, and on the upper right, the Palace.
Tumblr media
Here’s another shot, looking to the West South West from the farmhouse.
I’m really proud of those flower patches! The hope is that every part of the city will look as detailed and fleshed out as the Lowland District.

Maps of Crimsonia
Hi! Welcome to the Kingdom of Crimsonia. I’m going to put down the most recent maps that I have to start out with, and I’ll occasionally make links to this post in order to give a better idea where things are.
Tumblr media
Here is a blank map of the city. The boundaries are relatively clear to see while on the map, as the city is surrounded by water on every side. North is to the top edge of the map, as well.
I’ve marked out different districts, as it is a very large space to work with.
Tumblr media
The districts are labelled in the boxes, and points of interest are labeled with the black text. The II icons denote gates through walls or gatehouses. Players are allowed to build in any of the districts with space, save for the Royal and Citadel districts.
There are many different projects to be built, including player houses, shops, and structures! Ideally, the entire city will be built up one day, and I’m slowly chugging along with all the different projects.
