Okay, yeah..so after making that last post I realised I would rather be a better part of the codeblr community and be able to follow you all back, so I made a separate account where I can just focus on code and home things!

I just wanted to thank those of you that followed this blog. I would follow you back but this is a side blog and my 'main' is an rp blog, so I'll respond through reblogs and asks!! (Until the day Tumblr actually lets our side blogs be as good as main blog with comments & follows) Fingers crossed that happens someday! It would be nice to split my likes and hobbies that way! Otherwise...I may just make a new tumblr account specifically for coding and home things, because I plan to code my way to a better life in general <3

Self-paced learning

I've finally taken the first steps into Javascript, and I've been looking around at other courses that may help me with future employment. I'm not sure if a bootcamp is worth it, as a lot of it will teach me things I have already been learning by myself. Also, so many seem to focus on Python, whereas I would rather focus on C# and asp.net. I've seen a lot of job applications ask for C# but not Python...I'm sure it wouldn't hurt to learn both, but ultimately I would rather learn one that I would use more.

Masterschool enrolment...

So I've taken a risk, and I've enrolled with Masterschool for Software Engineering. It begins in January and I have to pay tuition fees once I get a job, which is definitely something I can do. I certainly couldn't afford it straight up, so I'm happy that I can pay once I get a job. Unfortunately it does revolve around Python, however I think I should be able to transfer what I learn to other object-orientated programming. Wish me luck!! Until then, I'll continue my learning with SheCodes and Udemy...

Finally, Javascript!

After at least a week of putting it off, thinking I wasn't ready, I've started to pick up Javascript. So far I've just learned variables and the alert/prompt, but at least it's something! I really, really hope this is going to help my future.

I guess I really just wanted to start this side blog as a place to post about my coding journey and small little life things. I'm learning to code through multiple different sources and am currently focusing on HTML, CSS and Javascript...the main big three for frontend web development. I know there are lots more to look through, especially when I want to progress to backend...but for now, I need to focus on one thing at a time.

This isn't going to be an overnight thing, I know that for sure. It's a long journey I have ahead of me and I'm only a couple of weeks in, but I hope someday, I can look back and think 'Look at how far I've come on my coding journey'.
