I got one of those automatic air freshners for my living room, thought it would be a good idea. I regret it now. It scares the hell out of me, my dog and the child-beast every time it goes off. Jump right out of our skins, its actually kind of annoying. But it does smell good.

So this is random but thought I would tell tumblr anyways, I had the weirdest dream. Now I don't really have dreams, or if I do, I very rarely remember them. So when I do have a dream, its usually pretty vivid and memorable. Anyways, this one was set at a zoo, there was a zoo keeper but they wore a hat and I couldn't see their face. Then a parrot flies over and lands on the zoo keepers arm, the parrot asks about if he knows about a tiger and the keeper says that they're sorry but the tiger died recently. The parrot is sad and explains that it used to be a guide for the Tiger as it journeyed through the jungle. And that's it. Random as hell. However, I thought it has the potential for a fun little kids story.

Honestly there's a lot of good things about where I currently live, but one of the issues I always get is that Google Maps cannot find my house. At all. And aparently every delivery driver nowadays wouldn't know how to use common sense if it leapt up and fucking bit them. So, it may be that Google Maps leads them to another road, but every time they attempt to deliver at the house with the same number as mine of that road, even though the address on the package quite obviously does not match. This means I rarely actually get my packages, because people just can't be arsed to use their heads. Literally they try and deliver it to a house a road over, I see it on the route tracker. What's worse is that one particular, very popular delivery company is so bad and has suffered so many complaints that they deactivated their customer service department. It no longer exists and it is impossible to lodge a complaint. So I'm stuck as they will not drop my parcel off at a random post office for me to collect...except I don't drive and can't actually get to the post office they're using. No parcel for me. So thanks. Sorry, ranting but I'm pissed off as this is something that happens so frequently I actively avoid webistes that use this delivery service if I see their name (most times you can't tell what service they use at all, so I just hope its not the shit one).

Just finished reading all the books in the series of Heaven official's blessing. Its so good. I was so far gone that I had moments of losing track of time and shit. Haven't gone that deep in a book since I was a kid. This bad and good, lol. Good because the series is wonderful, bad because I almost kept forgetting to eat lol. The joys of autism I suppose. I did enjoy being right about who the big bad was tbh, I like getting it right. Now I'm sort of wondering what else to do. I did watch The Untamed recently, so may hold off on the book for that for a bit. Need to find a new thing to read, ugh. I'm so fussy sometimes it does my head in. Thing is, I have no room for actual, physical books so have to buy it for kindle right now. I have so many books its rediculous but I have read and re-read them all many times. Some are pretty old too, like my mum's copy of Good Omen's and her copy of the Hobbit, have to be delicate with them as they're almost falling apart. Oh, I have a couple of Stephen King books I still haven't read...should probably read them also a manga or two I have been meaning to read. Need to catch up on the latest JJK too. Too many choices, not enough time.

The blossom is out, sadly they're not attracting as many bees. Seems the stupid amount of rain and hail lately has been preventing them from doing their jobs. :(

So, when we were out at the safari park, my daughter got to see a Dik Dik for the first time. I love them, they're really cute but we couldn't get a good look at its little wiggly nose. So I showed her a short video before bed of one wiggling its nose. Then I made the mistake of telling her that at night the Dik diks will come and snuffle in her ears to eat her dreams. This wasn't a mistake because it scared her, it was a mistake because she found this hilarious and ended up with the giggles and then wouldn't go to sleep because she was laughing too hard. So, moral of the story is: Don't tell your kids about dik dik's eating their dreams, it won't help them sleep and instead give them the raging giggles for half an hour.

Started watching The Untamed because I was bored and wanted something to watch, ended up picking sonething random because i have a terrible habit of only watching stuff im familiar with and rarely branching out. Theres only so many times you can rewatch the same few things lol. Anyway, I'm very invested now.

Going to the local wild life park tomorrow, I love seeing the animals but its one more day of doing stuff, which is exhausting to even think about. Oh well, I will get to see African Painted dogs, hopefully. I love puppies of all kinds, even ones that would happily eat me if I went into their enclosure lol.

What do normal people who haven't had half their personality shaped by the lord of the rings think about when they are scraping butter across bread?

Partaking in one of my fave past times, gently squishing my dogs paw pads. He's not a fan but he does tolerate it lol. Also watching The Untamed, I'm not very far in (episode 3 I think) but its a fun watch so far.

I think that my issue with Reno being forced to take a vacation is not only because he's a fave and I miss him lol, but also because it feels like the kind of thing you do to a child? Its grounding. Tseng grounded Reno like an unruly teenager. And no, I don't believe it was solely because he was injured. Tseng seems angry at him somehow, although I'm not entirely sure why I feel that way, could just be me reading too much into things. Reno's nearly 30. He's a grown ass man, a man who's entire job it is is to murder the President's enemies. And Tseng just says; Stay home because he got some boo boos on a mission, nah. Doesn't make sense. Two things could be going on here: They had an argument off-screen and Tseng is punishing Reno for something he said/did/threatened to do. OR his injuries were a lot more severe than we were led to believe...except, again, I will mention MATERIA IS A THING. Materia and potions, which he has already taken judging by the bottles on the sofa in Remake. Look, I keep going back to this because I'm obsessed. I have to know what's going on there, its so frustrating lol.

Took my dog into town today, went to the pet shop because dogs are allowed inside. He decided it was a good time to have a shouting match with another dog that was across the other end of the shop. They kept it up for a good long while, just barking back and forth at one another. No idea what they were saying, but Rocky did a few circles and stared at me as if whatever it was, was not very polite.

Below the cut are more random thoughts on Rebirth, some are, admittedly, repeated but its frustrating me so I wanted to whinge a bit lol. Mostly Turk-related rambles. No idea when I will no longer need to warn for spoilers tbh.

I will forever be haunted by Tseng's words to Reno in the Temple of the Ancients, that whole thing about keeping his priorities straight or something. Like, what was that about? If we assume that the events of Before Crisis are still canon in this timeline, then Reno (as far as he knows at this point), witnessed Tseng murder his boss and his boss' daughter...and he STILL didn't quit the Turks. What makes Tseng think he has misplaced priorities? What did he say or do? Was it that little thing after the Sector 7 plate drop? Surely that didn't need that much discipline, seems a bit extreme putting him on forced vacation for a brief moment of doubt, but if that's the case Rude was speaking up too yet he wasn't punished. Ok, so he was injured but potions are a thing and, as I said, if we're working under the assumption that BC happened, Tseng has a fully mastered restore materia he could use given to him by Veld if I remember correctly (pretty sure that's how Veld and Felicia survive). Unless something happened 'off-screen' and we missed out because Square decided we needed a stupidly long boss fight against Sephiroth instead. >:( Unforgiveable. We could have had much more Reno and the Turks, but no. That was very mean of them. I hate little teases like that. Same with the brief Vincent and current Turks interaction...like, we could have had a very interesting interaction there but once again, we were robbed. Always wanted to know how the current Turks would be around Vincent. Tbh I really love the interactions between Tseng and Rufus. That scene where Wutai declare war and 'introduce' Surruf is hilarious. Scarlet's like: who is this guy, the invisible man? And Tseng's like: *looks at Rufus, and is made to lie through his teeth. I mean yeah, ok, he's good at lying but it does make him look a bit shit at his job not knowing who 'Surruf' is lol. Its also the subtlety of that interaction, Tseng can obviously read Rufus well enough that even the tiniest movement of his face tells him what Rufus wants him to do. Loved it.
