the moment Bernard found out that Tim tried to clone Kon he demanded to look over Tim’s research and with a red pen started writing down corrections
Tim who didn’t think too much of it (big mistake), shrugged it off and forgot about it until roughly three weeks later there was a pile of papers on his desk with a sticky note on top that said ‘pro tip: get good at science first, then clone your totally platonic best friend’

I think Dick and Jason would have multiple “what the actual fuck are you saying right now” with Tim and Damian when it comes to quality of life/monetary differences. Sure, Dick and Jason got used to Bruce’s “is $100 a good enough tip on a $30 bill?” shit, but hearing Tim talking about a new laptop he bought for $5000 literally is like a punch in the gut.
If they ever went on a cruise (which they totally wouldn’t because cruises are floating death traps), Jason and Dick would be in awe of the fancy amenities, where as Damian would be unsatisfied with the quality, since he grew up with every single amenity known to man. Tim would just feel like it’s all normal since the Drake’s were extravagant and travelled all over the planet.
Jason : My bedroom is bigger than my fucking apartment.
Dick : I could do a full gymnastics routine with the space in my room.
Tim :
Dick :
Tim : My room is normal sized…
Jason : You grew up in a mega mansion. I hardly think you’re the benchmark of a normal room-
Damian : I must agree with Drake. This room is frankly underwhelming.
Dick, staring wildly at him : What do you mean underwhelming- Dames there’s an aquarium wall in your room.

No way, I see the vision and it’s fucking immaculate. Let older Jon get stuck in the universe and have to deal with Evil Superman but HIS actual dad whos his worst fear of using his powers for evil and the catalyst for that WAS LOSING JON in the first place, so Superman loses his shit over meeting Jon because if he’s in that world he cannot grieve right. Jon who feels responsible for Damian tries his hardest to keep Damian from being this worlds Damian and being like HIS Damian. Damian in that world gets attached to the idea of being better and LEACHES off of Jon’s softness and care for him that’s being inflicted on him but for someone entirely different.
And when he unlocks his repressed emotions for his Damian before his years of torture he realizes that he likes the idea of Damian in his entirety being so accessible to him. When he spends so much time in that universe the lines blur… once he’s made twisted connections here they’re still connections and will hurt once he severs the ties…
It gets foggy… Is Earth Prime is home… Is Earth-3 his home? Or is the Injustice universe his home? Why doesn’t he just stay for a week or two and it wouldn’t hurt if those weeks eventually turned into years as well… His Damian and Father can barely stand to look at him nowadays anyway, why doesn’t he stay here where everyone can’t look away from him. Let him fill that void with obsession and care and let Jon feed off of Damian like Damian feeds off of him until it eventually destroys them.

This plot is based on the aftermath of dceased but it can also be centered around different universes. Centered around the super sons. Idk I think it can be platonic and romantic depending on how you see it.
Background: Out of nowhere ghosts of dead people familiar suddenly appeared in different places. Initially, people were happy, maybe a bit sad. After all they returned back to life but there was something, a bit odd.
So the "ghosts" In these stories can be interacted touched just like a regular person. However they do act like ghost sometimes, like stopping for no reason or wandering around. And one particular thing was that they can be pretty ooc, like not how they remember these people to be. Ex like Bruce smiling and relaxing
The league later discovered that it is an ancient gem artifact that feeds on people's loss and desire to meet another person once again. And as time goes on it could be dangerous to the person because like, these ghost people arent actually real people but rather the memories of like a specific person that really wants to see them again.
This story can be centered around different people who lost their loved ones in the fight and they are the people who was effected with the gem. (Btw these artifacts are gems that are scattered throughout the ghosts and the only way to get them back is for that grieving person to let go of the ghost)
But im mainly centering around jondami and maybe alfred.
So the ghost that mostly appeared in the series is Damian's ghost. For some reason this ghost was a lot more humanlike than the others (So the more sorrow and grief the person has for the ghost the more humanlike the ghost will be). He usually appear in different places and he actually guides, teasing, talking, and playing with people then wanders around again. He appears in conversations or randomly pops in.
At first people thought it's because they all miss him because he sacrificed himself for them. But it turns out only one person can manifest the ghost. (In a way the grieving person is controlling the ghost based on how they remember him, maybe jokes that the ghost used to make in the past is being used again when they are interacting in the present).
The Damian people know was a lot more mature and does sometimes cracks up jokes but he was always on edge and serious. But this damian was a lot more relazed since his burden is pretty much lifted off his shoulders. So he was a lot more playful, gentle, kind, surprisingly domestic and nurturing but also brazen and serious when they need him too. And one feature is that he smiles a lot which they didn't see much from him when he was alive.
At first when the justice league was collecting these ghost (gems) and figured it out they thought it was alfred who was manifesting Damian along with the rest of the batfamily (Bruce, Dick, Tim, Jason mainly). But when Alfred let them go. Damian remained.
So ghost Damian was like the last one to go because they were pretty confused why he remained. They then traced their tracks and talked to Damian's various friends, family. Even spying and asking Damian why he remained. Damian did know who manifested him but he said to "give them sometime, I don't think they're ready to let me go yet". Some members disagree, because the more he stays the more dangerous it gets. Then Damian mutters, "I just want him to let go of me. Let him heal, but doing so will just hurt him even more". He slipped and they connected the dots and realized it was Jon. Damian just smiled bitterly once they found out that Jon has been manifesting Damian the entire time.
Turns out, plot twist, this was a version of damian but the sides of him that in jons sees from his eyes
So thats why he was kinder teasy and everything. The members hadn't expected it because Jon behavior was normal. During Damian's sacrifice he did went into a slump but he seemed to be okay now to them. *TT* "Is he now?" It then clicked for Superman and he realized that his boy has been hiding his wounds with a smile.
...
"You know sometimes i feel like i want to join you"
"You can't Jon"
"Yeah I can't. I still have work to do here. They need to help they can get"
...
"You're so cruel Dame... "
"I'm sorry"
"Sorry doesn't brings you back"
...
"Well you've always been cruel"
He sighed as he slowly choked back tears. Looking at the sunset in the distance.
"I have to stay here so that everything you've done will not go to waste. Rao, I don't even know where you are anymore. I can't feel your heartbeat (I lost a part of me). Will I see you in death? Will I ever see you again?"
The ghost just stood there silently, eyes glimering like kryptonian stone. Jon loved it. He could just drown in it.
"You can't answer me can you?... Cause you're not real? Cause after all we've been through, I just don't know the answer to it.", Jon looked up tears slowly falling.
"... Will I see you in another universe? Another lifetime? (This is so not fair I wanted you in this one)"
...
Damian smiled at him and Jon stopped smiling. Thats because he knows that he wanted Damian to smile at him. He knows he's not real yet he still begs for him to not go. If he had begged him to not go then. ...
Would he not leave?
...
No he would've done the same thing.
Oh Damian you're so cruel.
.....
In the end Jon lets Damian go.
And he dies once again in his eyes.
In the end although Jon is distraught he slowly remembered his memories of him and Damian. Everything good, everything bad and everything he loves. His heart is still broken with regret, sorrow over the loss, yet there is a small hope in him as he turns to his comrades that has been watching the scene, especially to his father
"I might still need time to heal. To be honest, I don't think I'll ever will."
"... But", he thinks back to Damian.
"I think it's alright, It feels like he's here with me", he brushes his hand over his heart.
Over the years he had always attacked Jon in various ways. But the weapon he was never taught how to hone, how to use, the only one he didn't understand,
Love,
was the most effective move against a being like Jon.
He chuckled at the irony and smiled bitterly.
I guess he's just my kryptonite.
Fin.
There is no happy ending in this one lol. It just makes the story more impactful (it's more on the feels lol). I could make a fic but i know i wont finish it so thats why i even made this tumblr in the first place. To dump all the ideas people might like here 😅
I tried to make the ending better but im still not satisfied. It just gets longer and longer 😭

It's Damian's Birthday and everyone is trying to find a suitable present for him.
Tim: How about a pair of swords?
Dick: No, he has lots of them.
Steph: What about a pet?
Dick: He has lots of them, too.
Jason: Money?
Dick: ...
Dick: Seriously?
Jason: What? It's Bruce's gift?
Dick: No, but Damian is rich like us.
Dick: Make some good ideas.
Steph: I'm still on pet.
Duke: We can give him a parrot.
Barbara: Then the parrot will say things like, "I'm a master assassin." or "Heard you have a death wish."
Cass: So we'll have an assassin parrot.

Jason: We so did not see that coming.
Barbara: A good kind of surprise.

The parrot (Kinz), sitting on Damian's shoulder and kissing him on the cheek: Mwahhh! I love you, baby.

YK WHAT WOULD BE SO FUNNY? if Damian, who speaks formal, very posh English, spoke in an Arabic slang.
AND, the rest of the BatFam, whom all speak slang English, spoke formal Arabic (عربية فصحى)
Damian speaking in English: I will not only discombobulate you, but I also will kill anyone whom is in direct contact with you.
Damian speaking in Arabic: باس لاكين يعن، هيا ما موهما شديد، عريف؟ (just cause like, its not really important, yk?)
(FYI, this is Sudanese Dialect Arabic, which literally just uses slang as it’s main wording of choice, ik that because I speak it lol)

the thing about Damian, especially pre-Robin, is that you have to straddle a line between child and cult assassin. He’s a nuanced character, you can’t dumb him down or simplify him. (On that note: PLEASE stop calling him feral! It’s pretty racist!)
You cannot make other characters be nice and understanding to him from the start like Dick or Tim or Jason. You cannot make them treat him like a toddler below his actual age.
You also cannot make him a irredeemable psychopath who exists only to hurt Tim and sow conflict. Because that’s just straight up not true. Fanon.
Writing Damian needs to be a balance between these, and he needs this nuance to be interesting.
If everyone treats him softly, then there’s no point for Damian’s personality as it is. He is rude and arrogant and abrasive for a reason. You could argue that he’s spoiled, but he’s also a child who was ripped from a culture he knew and thrust into the arms of a white family who don’t understand him and don’t make the effort to actually teach him their views. He’s rude and angry because there is no place for him there, not until Robin, and even then he is still subject to their judgements. If everyone treats him with kid gloves, then his attitude comes without justification and doesn’t make sense.
Please remember that when Damian first appeared in comics, everyone except Talia disliked him. Bruce wasn’t sure what to do with him, but he also was quick to scream obedience. From Dick’s inner monologue in Resurrection of Ras al Ghul and his very early interactions in Batman and Robin, he didn’t like the kid and thought him a burden to bear in the place of Bruce. Tim never once gave him mercy after the first meeting. His inner monologue and actions all speak of hate and teenage angst - some justified, some way out of line.
Damian’s anger is then reasonably apparent. He doesn’t fit in. He can’t. But he doesn’t seek violence. He doesn’t try to murder everyone in their sleep like some people think. It’s shocking that fanon’s interpretation of him is a boy who goes for the throat in every interaction. He’s snippy, but in every single comic I’ve read he’s never tried to fight someone without a justification. If he was an X-Men level telepath, then I’d argue that his actions would become worse if he really knew what people thought of him at first glance.
If you’re a child that knows he is hated, then you lash out. You test boundaries. You see what will make them exile you, hurt you. You are a brown boy surrounded by a white city in a culture that you don’t understand. You cannot see your mother again. They hate her. You cannot express yourself in a world that expects the worst. You are shackled by expectation and judgement. They won’t let you be, but they won’t let you go.
You are stuck.
And in this, you will always be.

Damian as a character is so sad. Nothing lined up for him. Damian as Robin has kept him from keeping his personality and heritage, Damian as Batman goes against his whole character entirely but if they don’t make him Batman then he will be a villain because they find ways already to make Damian a villian even as Batman. Damian is probably never going to be allowed to be queer of any sort because he needs to fit directly under Batman. He’s never really going to have an identity for himself like honestly, I’m ready to call it quits. DC comics always disappoint me.
I thought Jon and Damian getting Super Sons as a series was a good thing but honestly, I think it just put a target on their head for the worst character assassination ever; The POC Robin and the Superman successor… did they even have a chance?
I’m sorry, I sound really cynical but like I’m so tired. We get The Boy Wonder and Batman 147 in the same day… god doesn’t call his strongest soilders Gladiators; he calls them Super Sons fans.
