of course the only good part about homestuck’s ending is the fact that through some miracle of god pretty much all of the felt survived. like how did this even happen. i love them but let’s be real they were made to get murdered in increasingly brutal ways by the midnight crew and yet ultimately they outlive all of them by doing absolutely nothing, getting randomly inserted back into the story, and then disappearing forever. where’s my beyond canon felt intermission. they would never they don’t have the guts
of course the second only good part about homestuck’s ending is that PM just absolutely sweeps life and wins existence. like go girl give us everything and then gracefully depart from relevance before shit gets REAL bad

i think the reason ult selves don't really work (outside of dirk) is that most characters just... don't have that many distinct ult selves. like, the only roses we see that really get any time are davesprites timeline's rose and jasprose, so it seems kinda silly for all of those to add up to evil rose. and sure, something something dirk whatever, who cares?
it would be way more interesting if this was applied to a character with multiple distinct selves in the same way dirk has. someone like... jack noir?
