I made a quiz with personalised thai bl recommendations! :)
List of possible results in order of personal preference below the cut:
1. Not me
Brilliant. Show stopping. Spectacular.
Exept for the typical product placement this is perfect, especially plot and character wise. My personal favorite, has almost no harmful clichees and actually a lot of Information about thailands political landscape.
2. The Eclipse
The tensioonnn! Akk and Ayan are both portrayed beautifully and were the main selling point of the show for me (as well as probably my favorite bl couple so far) , even if the side couple also had a sweet story.
The plot is a little (very) messy (especially towards the end) but the romance is done really well and the show is overall a fun watch!
3. My school president
At the time of writing this the show is not yet finished - still a lot of fun to watch. The characters and romance is great!
Didn't like the 'lets just make a few of the characters reaaallly dumb for fun' trope but it's easily ignored and the characters are otherwise really good.
Definite recommendation!
4. Bad buddy
Actually good execution of the typical college rivals. The romeo and juliet feud was a bit annoying to me but starts making at least a little more sense as the story progresses. The romance and acting is done really well and they actually avoided a lot of typical clichees and instead even explained a few of them.
Was definetly a fun watch even if I personally thought the last episode didn't really add anything to the story and was more confusing than anything else...
5. Kinnporsche
Spicy Mafia - definitely a fun watch even if their method of running a Mafia clan does not seem particularily effective. (Who needs money, this is soley about bodeyguards and maybe power)
Also some stockholm syndrome and some taking advantage (but at least they don't act as if everything is alright and normal there, still - warning!) and the tragic death of several pets.
Porsche is a complete idiot at the beginning but after a couple of episodes the learning effect finally sets in.
Still, I had lots of fun watching this so enjoy!
6. He's coming to me
One of the oldest bls on the list. Was lighthearted and super sad at the same time but has some phenomenal acting, an actual coming out scene (!!) and gets you actually feeling for the characters.
I personally found it hilarious at times and it has some actual plot!
7. Manner of death
A bl with ploot! Even if it's quite messy sometimes.... Also, characters that are not supposed to be teenagers! It's not supposed to be a comedy for once! A lot of great selling points.
This show was fun, even if for some reason I lost interest towards the end?
8. Ingredients
Very simple show that was still a surprisingly good watch. The episodes are really short so it's great for in between but still a slow burn at the same time!
Loved the development of their relationship over the time!
9. 2gether + Still 2gether
Fake dating? Check!
Slowburn? Check!
Teach people to not take a no for a no? Check!
Harmful stereotypes? Check!
A couple that you first desperatly want together but once they are want back as friends? Yup!
Was it still fun to watch? Absolutely!
This show is not my first recomondation but it's surprisingly fun to watch, even if I got super annoyed at the general consesus of the characters to just... Not stop persuing someone if they are told no???
The show sells us drugging someone or starting fake relationships as resonable responses to unwanted suitors instead of just... Getting rid of them because you tell them no??
So be warned, but enjoy!

A wild theory of what may happen with the triangle thing that I had to write down:
-Ismail keeps beeing really intrigued an drawn to Lou and then (probably on Friday) they'll hang out with just the two of them without Constantin for the first time. There's gonna be lots of tension and maybe even a kiss
-But then Ismail notices it doesn't feel right for them and reacts weirdly
-But Lou is an absolute angel about this - she holds no grudge and instead helps them figure himself out
-She notices Sashas obvious crush on Ismail and encourages Ismail to maybe try to see what that's all about
-Ismail actually allows himself to get closer to Sasha and for a short period of time it looks like they'll actually get together
-But then again it doesn't seem right and Ismail pulls away and confuses Sasha in the process
-In the following week (hellweek) he'll notice how both Lou and Sasha have been amazing Frinds to him (especially in Contrast to C) but he doesn't know how to mend things
-That's when Kieu my and Fatou intervene - They notice he is off and decide to help him
-With their help Ismail figueres out that he actually is atracted to neither of them and probably is aromantic but has mistaken healthy friendships for Feelings
-He apologizes to Sasha who actually admits to being hurt and needing time for himself (instaposts suggest that he hangs out a lot with Ava and Fatou in that time)
-Ismail takes some time to learn to be happy with just himself and to care for existing relationships with friends and Family
-In the end Sasha sees how he's changed and is okay with being friends again
Well and then of course plus the "He still has to make up for the bullying in the past and Sasha probably finds out about it" storyline, the "Gender Identity" storyline, the "Constantin probably gets a background story and derails completly" storyline and what else I may have forgotten (the plants storyline, the winter basar and Newyears Party storyline...)

Arrgh I ran out of space in the tags so here's the rest of my unsorted thoughts: (read the tags first)

Plus Jana and Jens for once actually being over each other instead of still being hung up on each other
In general all of them thinking Luc is hot đ
And Jens just silently agreeing
Utrecht week :D
I absolutely love the spontaneous singing and dancing session
There is little I love more than to dance with my friends
It's such a sweet moment
In general I love all these everyday moments, the hair braiding and the pizza and the pumpkins - these moments add so much to the story and the characters for me
I'm definitely Luc in the 'who turns out the lights' moment
Just with puppy eyes instead of the push usually
And Isa today :D
I love how she had to get all of that off her chest while Kes standing next to her and not getting what is up at all
And how Lotte just waited for them to calm down to announce that she wants to leave
I know I already told you about half of this but here it is đ
Dec 4th, Friday 19:17
The station was rather busy, people rushing from place to place, as Jens, Lucas and Lotte had stepped off the train. They had taken the stairs up and let Lucas lead the siblings to wherever he had organised to meet his two friends.
While the atmosphere on the ride here had been rather cheery and full of them talking and joking, Lotte drawing them page after page of supposedly them three on a train, it had gotten tenser with each passing minute closer to their arrival.Â
Lucas next to him, grew definitely nervous, him turning completely silent as they walked over to another set of stairs they took down. Isa and Kes both hadnât been told yet who his friend would bring along on his weekend visit. To the two boys it had sounded funny to just surprise his dutch friends. That was until now. Jens could definitely understand this to be a very hard thing to do.Â
But his boyfriend was determined and therefore Jens took his hand for a moment until they reached the outside. Thatâs when he let go again. Lucas smiling briefly back at him, when Jens pecked a kiss against his temple. So gentle, it could have been the older boy just leaning in.
And then Lucasâs smile doubled in intensity as he got excited to see two people spotting them, waving cheerfully.
Both the girl and the boy were dressed in thick coats and scarfs. Both with dark brown curly hair and friendly faces. Isa and Kes, his two best friends, as Lucas had told him so often before.Â
The girlâs face though quickly turned into an awfully big grin, as they came closer.
âAaaaaah.â She yelled, her hands raised to cover her mouth as she stared at the two boys and Lotte stopping infront of her.
âYou okay there Ies?â Lucas asked very amused, but just as much puzzled by her reaction, while pulling the giggling girl into a long hug.
âOh my god luc! Finally!â She exclaimed excited, leaning back in his arms, only to peck a kiss at his cheek and step back very pleased.
Lucas could only shrug, as he looked over to Jens. Both of them visibly unsure what to make of the girl infront of them. She definitely had a lot of energy. And was cute, as her eyes basically gleamed in the light of the station and streetlamps around them.
âHello to you too? Whatâs up?â Lucas tried again, hugging Kes, who did look just as confused at the girl next to him. Apparently a recent development of excitment, Jens guessed.
âI saw you holding hands on the stairs. You are⌠You know. Right?â
Oh. Okay, Jens got it now and so did Lucas freezing up in his step back to Jensâs side. The younger boyâs eyes transfixed on Isa, who couldnât stop grinning.
âI had planned to tell you and talk about that at your place instead of here, but eh, yes.â His boyfriend struggled to keep his voice steady, definitely succumbing to a whisper at the end.
âHe is hot, well done.â Isa certainly was bold, especially as she turned to face Jens and proceeded to wink at him, leaving Jens to feel as dumbfounded as Lucas looked like.
âHow do you know?â His boyfriend asked, curiousity slipping through.
âIâm confused, who knows what?â Obviously the person being at a loss the most was Kes. Who looked bewildred between them back and forth, his face one big question mark, as he wrinkled his brows. He was unfortunately left to remain in his confusion, when Isa just went on to explain without giving much context.
âWell, Liv and me were kinda waiting for you. We sort of suspected it since last year at the gathering. The one you let Liv borrow your phone? Well she saw the links open in your browser and showed them to me.â
Lucas stared at her, mouth open, wide eyed at the girls confession.Â
Jens guessed that Lucas had absolutely not expected to hear this.
âWhat?â His boyfriend asked in great disbelieve.
âSorry, we just wanted you to figure it out yourself, I guess.â She shrugged smiling apologetic, before topping it off: âAlso you messaged Ralph on Grindr, he showed us. So that kinda really confirmed it. Love us, please!â
Isa sweetly batted her eyelashes at the poor boy staring back at her helplessly.Â
Jens couldnât refrain from the sheer amusement crawling onto his face by the awkward revelation. He couldnât quite pin down who Ralph was again. The name certainly had come up before. But it was clear that it was a shared friend of theirs, as Lucas blushed embarressed to have been caught.
âSomebody here who can help me out?â Kes pleaded, forgotten where he stood next to Isa.
âRight.â Lucas turned around to look at his best friend, who was patiently waiting to be let in on it. He got rather uncomfortable, so Jens decided to just fuck it and grab Lucasâs hand, squeezing it gently to let his boyfriend know that he wasnât alone in this. Just like Lucas had done so often before for him.
âThis is Jens. He is my boyfriend.â
Kes was blinking for quite a while, utterly overwhelmed, deep in thoughts about the introduction he had just been given by his best friend. Isa on the other hand was back again to grin at them overly happy about it all.
âAnyway. Iâm Isa, and this gaping fish here is Kes. No worries, heâll get over it. It is so good to meet you in person. Honestly. Weâve really just had seen you commenting on instagram so far. And Lucas just wouldnât tell us who heâd bring, so consider the surprise succsessful.â
âOh for sure. Iâm super happy to be here and finally get to meet you all.â
While Jens and Isa finally found the moment to properly greet each other, Kes seemed to have come to a conclusion. The boy, still perplexed, now at least wasnât staring any longer, instead he swallowed hard on something and took a step closer to put his hand on Lucasâs shoulder.Â
âOkay, this is weird. Ehem not bad, no, but weird. Since when do you know that you are also interessted in guys?âÂ
âNot also. But just.â Lucas corrected his best friend firmly, looking straight at him in hope Kes would get it. And he did.
âOh, thatâs fine too, of course.â
âThen I suppose always. I had a hard time admitting it though, hence the girls.â
The two boys cracking a smile as they hugged yet again, Lucas looking much more at ease now that this part of his coming out was over. At least to his best friends, who honestly were some of the most important people to be accepted by. Jens knew. He also knew that it wasnât all of it, the crush on his best friend still kept a secret. And Jens now got both sides. Maybe best to not bring it up for now, or perhaps ever, given the hesitation in Kesâs reaction. He knew, he wouldnât.
âWell, glad to see you happy. And eh Jens, itâs great to meet you too.â Kes said, saluting Jens, before him and Lucas let go of each other.
It was then that the four were kinda reminded of the fith person standing infront of the station. Lotte cleared her throat loudly, asking for attention from where she had settled next to Jens, slightly hiding behind his arm, carrying her own small backpack.
âIâm cold.â She complained, âAnd hungry!â, She added quickly, earning a smirk and nod from Jens.Â
âSeconded.â He said, looking expectantly at Lucas to let him understand that they probably should get going. The cold definitely was biting now that Lotte had brought it up.
âWe didnât even say hi to you. God, Iâm so sorry. Who are you?â Isa asked, bending down to be at level with the little girl, a gentle smile on her lips.
âLotte.â His sister briefly replied, not yet convinced what to think about the two strangers picking them up from an unfamiliar station in an unfamiliar city.
âHonestly Lucas, we sent you off not even two month ago to finish school and support your mom, and now you come back with a boyfriend and a child. What happened?â
âShut up.â Lucas laughed at Isa, who was barely able to get through with her accusation, immediately falling into a fit of giggles, as she failed to look even a little serious.
âShe is my little sister. And we are super grateful that you let us all stay over.â Jens helped to explain an eight year old joining them on the trip, when neither his boyfriend nor the girl next to him were able to get a word out.
It took them a whole other minute to finally calm down enough to reply.
âVery much welcome. Iâm so glad you do, because I have tons of questions now. I donât think I could let you go anywhere else but my place.â Isa declared.
âOh no. This is Robbe and Sander all over again.â Jens sighed defeated, Lucas continued to laugh, this time at him, while his two dutch friends looked rather puzzled at the dropped names. So his boyfriend simply waved them off, when Jens was trying hard not to be reminded of the hours long interview he had to endure by his own best friend and Sander two weeks ago.
âIgnore him.â Lucas said, patting Jensâs shoulder. Not much of a comfort. Jens just wasnât that comfortable to talk about it. But Lucas was happy and excited, so he wouldnât keep it from him to explain everything his boyfriend wanted to.
âWell, letâs get going then.â Kes announced, pulling Lucas closer, with an arm draped over his best friendâs shoulders, as the group began to move. Isa and Lotte sort of quickly caught up in their own little get-to-kow-each-other, leaving Jens to follow and feel contented to watch the two couples infront of him.Â
Kes leaned in laughing at something Lucas had told him.
âI canât believe I never noticed. Fuck, Luc.â

You're fucking perfect, don't ever forget that.
I know you like to look at yourself and see all those little flaws, questioning what others may think about you.
But that doesn't matter.
Not a bit.
It's important what you think about you.
It's important that you see all those little flaws as the exact things that make you you, make you so incredibly beautiful inside and out.
That doesn't mean to stop working on yourself but to stop trying to fit in the expectations of others.
