How we should Run
Tumblr media
When I was young, I was in a hurry to grow up. I want to get a degree, a job, earn, go to places and many other things. Well I guess I was too innocent for the things that is happening in the world or I could say the way of living is too different from the past compared today.
As I grow older, I wished to go back to childhood. Didn’t know ADULTING could be this challenging. Maybe, we were not born with silver spoons that makes it quite difficult to compensate our daily needs. At a very young age, I experienced a lot. I became the breadwinner of my family after I graduated from college. My mom, who is almost 50 years old could no longer work because most companies do not accommodate someone who is overage. My Dad have no work and my younger brother is still studying. We were hard up financially but God sustained us. When my Mom passed away last 2015, I broke-down. She was the most important person in my life, next to God. She was the source of my strength. She’s someone I could talk and open up to without any judgement.
When I lost my mom, I felt my world fell apart. I feel depressed and wanted to give up. But God comforted me and told me through His word how much He loves me and He will never leave nor forsake me. Until now, I still feel that emptiness and long for my mom. No one nor anything could ever replace her.
Life is a never ending struggle and everyday is a battle of survival. But what really keeps me going? I say, its FAITH. Without it, we will not be able to know who God is, what He is capable of and why are we here?
Struggles, difficulties, disappointments and circumstances that are happening in our lives are just part of strengthening our faith. Never give up, God has a plan and purpose for our lives. He is changing us from glory to glory and we should run the race with perseverance and fix our eyes on Jesus so we will be able to receive the prize that God has set before us.
Hebrews 12:1-2 Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us, 2 fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
