Morimu week 2024

Day 5 - OP 5

So with Op5 day I wanted to point something beside amazing sherliam scenes, meaning, amazing Moriarty team suffering, like almost from the start we are hit with Louis song, full dread over his face and voice as people desire for LoC's punishment Op5 is mostly that, Mori team suffering over William's choice, it's amazing that some songs come back and once they were full of hope, now they are curse. I love scene from last stage, where William sits down in Sherlock chair when he visits 221B. There is this painful silence in one moment after they laugh, and it's so clear on William's face how this pains him, because he wants to be with Sherlock like this, just two people deeply in love, happy and talking together but this is not their reality. You see him breaking there.

And everything is perfect, every person of cast has their moment, Moran's "I just wanted to be his (William's) hero. I wanted to save him, I couldn't save him from start" is so powerful and beautiful. Albert's suffering was pretty much with us since op3 and his burning song continues this line of his torment and the choice he made. I love additional scenes for Bond and Miss Hudson. Fred performance was amazing. I will never forget when first live stared and Shogo began to sing without music, only his pained voice...

I need op6 and some happiness for all of them...

Morimu week 2024

Day 4 - OP 4

I know I'm late but had hellish last two days. I wanted to do something Sherlock for op4 and I was thinking of him trying to crack Mary's mistery and what her deal was, or him VS Milverton. I was so amazed by Sherly going so strong at that scene.

I love middle part of this op4, well, from all Mori-side scenes I think the one that comes to my mind the most is one when William is depressed, trying to rise from sitting behind his desk but people pushes him down while singing middle song again about arresting and hating LoC.

But mostly morigang actors chill on backstage during this OP XD, like mostly we get Whitelay story and Mary arc, and I love how Sherlock is bothered by Mary. John and her are cute, I love the hug they have after truth is told. She tried so hard because she really cares about John. Sherlock was so funny to watch and they didn't cut roof scene like in anime. DVD addlib was so funny too, amazing come back to op3, love things like that! And whole part in Milverton's mansion was just perfect, heart breaking and powerful, sherliam first fight. I love scene where William sits on the ground, broken and destroyed in dark, while we also see Sherlock broken by what he done and singing his ending song too. This is part when train called sad and depression arrived. I kinda wish they did tea part at start, happy morigang at start, broken at end.

But I get getting Bond for that part only would be waste. Still I like Morigang together, they have great chemistry and love to see them happy.

Morimu week 2024

Day 3 - OP3

I was thinking what to draw for op3 day, I love so many scenes it's hard to choose and I didn't draw those before morimu week started, wanted to do more but I'm at end of my battery. So here is Op3 add-lib, first I was thinking of Louis knife one but it deserves few panels that aren't drawn in hurry. I remember when I first saw kiss addlib, I knew op3 1st switch live, so during DVD version watching I waited for kaze fukus scene and all... and hell, William sings his "I fell in love" song but I was crying from laughter, because of this addlib. Op3 is still fun/happy part, Jack the ripper arc is so great, they made even Yard part so dynamic and exciting too, and of course Durham date, it's so sweet, happy sherliam in love is the air I need to breath. I listen to so many op3 songs, most favs there Milverton entry is great, he is pure evil and dangerous, you feel he's going to be a problem to our heroes, corrupted parts of Yard were nicely done too. The ending song is so love song of William and Sherlock: so many emotions in their voices, lyric and with whole reaching out...

I'm so tired, probably will take break tomorrow and do op4 and op5 stuff one day later....

Morimu week 2024

Day 2 - OP 2

I love op2, still my fav is op3 but ah, op2 is so fun. I love we got Baskerville arc in it and Train arc was so enjoyable, especially crime case, this choreography and song, they didn't need to go so hard but they did, every second is so filled with movement and things happening, I love to listen to it while working, and part of Catch me song is my phone ringtone XD, and middle song is sooo good. Train case was first Sherliam date, Liam and Sherlock they had so much fun during it.

Irene arc, it was so great too. I remember when reading manga to be surprised at Irene and Miss Hudson scene, another cut away scene from anime that build up characters and gave them nice interactions, I'm so happy morimu kept it and even added Cinderella song, it was so silly.

And whole mask ball was so good William in mask, so dramatic during the whole thing and they mixed a little of Moran past into it adding this nice additional action. Whole part of Moran and Louis action scenes were wonderful in this op, if there will be morimu week next year I will try to draw those ball scenes.

I'm still searching for my way to draw chibis and hell those are the fastest color drawings I ever done so they could probably be better.

Morimu week:

Day 1-OP 1

I couldn't miss Morimu celebration and here are my silly chibis. I remember the first time I watched OP1 and just at start it did hit me how well Morimu understood manga, with that scene in Durham.

This was all I wanted, what made me love manga, how everything Morigang did was to help poor people at first, even if yes, William used every situation for his own plans too. Morimu made William even more kinder and he suffered when he saw other people being hurt.

Usually we talk mostly about Sherliam in Morimu or Morigang or Sherlock team but I wanna point at other nice things Morimu gave us that were in manga and were small but important/interesting during this week. Like having Sherly&John fight in bar, showing how Sherlock was an asshole at start with whole Miss Hudson scene, this poor woman with get stroke one day.

And I love scene at jail too when Sherly just opens the door to his cell and talks silly to Lestrade, I was thinking about drawing it but I choose William scene since it was so important to me and I wanted to draw that silly Miss Hudson XD. Maybe next year.

Apothecary diaries parody with Yuumori.

There was a request to do this scene of Apothecary diaries with sherliam in Yuumori fandom and I said I will do it. A few weeks later it's done. (I didn't saw this anime, I'm only watching like 2-3 animes series per season because of lack of time but it looks fun XD). I finally added a piece to Sherlock's 221Bakery buns group, his buns are source of light in this picture if you didn't notice XD. It's only to learn better how to shade with one source of light, I swear!

I thought of Billy's dislike of Stawberry water while he likes fruits so much and it made me think about Gollum scene from LotR so I decided to meme it... Somehow most of my works for Yuumori fandom are silly memes and jokes XD

John Watson potato joins 221B family... but it feels like someone is watching them... I went with yuumori manga/morimu color palette for John. From all yummori characters his color palette was the most changed in anime compare to manga.

Merman and Seaweed story is in work but I needed some break so I took this challenge: Sherlock and Miss Hudson. What did he do this time? And that man bends well, some tea lover probably likes that fact a lot XD

The first part of my big sherliam project is done.

Thank Ryo Hirano for this story because I watched Morimu op3 commentary video and he started a joke that he plays Sherlock in such swingly way, as if he was a seaweed, and until the end of that video Morimu cast kept joking about it. He even said that he can see in his mind all Seaweed Sherlock comments on the twitter after fans will watch this commentary.

I don't know if fandom did any Sherlock seaweed jokes back then anyway this was the moment the idea for story about Sherlock Seaweed started to born in my head and my mind quickly added to this that the merman William would be perfect for that setting.

The first image I saw in my head was that joke scene with merman William showing seaweed Sherlock to his family. From that moment story grew into ways I didn't think it will grow, but that you will see in the future, no spoilers for now.

This story will be my biggest project in years for sure. I wanted to try Witch Hat Atelier style since this story is kinda fairytale and because I wanted to do something pretty once in my life and draw nice backgrounds since I never liked doing them.

How many parts this story will it have? Well, for now I have half of story fully done in text matter, around 2/3 of rest is in draft stage so I kinda need to write the ending of it to have story in text form done. As for full pages with drawings, well I will try to upload 3-4 pages every month, since doing those details take some time. I think full story will be around 30 pages? I will know surely after I write last part. Pray for me to finish it, my goal is to do it this year.

Thought to not get annoyed while doing it I will do other, smaller stuff from Yuumori too.

Well, I think I wrote everything that can help in making own potato felted figure. As I said, there are still recordings how I did some more complex figures on Nerdy Felting channel to look into. I didn't record doing Sherlock because working under big lamps hurt my eyes a lot.

Be prepared you will break some needles at start, if you have glasses I recommend to felt in them, once the end of needle that broke bounce into my way and it was little dangerous but this happened because I was trying to hurry up, anyway, please be careful. Beside that felting it's really interesting and quite clean figure making technique :) Just don't buy needles from Crazy hands company, they made wool pulp instead felting it. I learned that hard way....

Felted potato Miss Hudson is done, slowly Moriarty potato family gets bigger (but I need some break before I do John and get better felting needle, one I have just made wool mushy and I wasted like 4 hours because of that). I plan to post tutorial for those potatos soon, but if someone wonders how to do such hair, I always felt 3 pieces of hair and I braid them, this won't be in tutorial since it's made on time when I felt Sherlock so I decided to add this here. I used the same technique for Xenoblade Melia hair, thought those nice braids got lost under all Melia's head accessories. Anyway doing it this way gives better 3d effect.

Moriarty Xmas everyone! Dark Santas are in town!

I'm so glad that somehow I managed to finish it on time. Last weeks were awful for me, so many live problems with my cats health and work and that I was so exhausted, yet I really wanted to draw those Dark Santa Moriarty brothers because I had this idea for few months by now. And that joke with Sherly in my head born while drawing it, I'm glad I could draw it too and it didn't stay only an idea (like I had idea for some flirty sherliam after story to that Halloween art but had no time to draw it). I went with some chibi style drawing because I really wanted to do it quick, it suppose to be more sketchy style but I yet can draw nice looking sketch only picture.

Anyway back to additional info about pictures.

Moriarty Santa brothers, I wanted to make them dark Santas so I went with black in place of white fur. I also thought about Albert and Louis costumes be whole in their colors first, but I settled with only elements being in Albert's green and Louis blue for them and I think this looks very good in the end. I had to put wine with cookie for Albert, he leaves milk for his brothers. And each of brothers have holy that also has 3 brothers colors to show their bond.

Sherly has 1/3 chance to pull Liam Santa, he even put Math book to rise his chances. Let's wish him to pull William, not Louis.
