至，夜晚...

夜晚，你是如此的宁静， 默默的守着大地。这份孤单是为谁而生，又会为谁而息。寒来暑往，秋收冬藏。时间再怎么流逝，都还有你的陪伴。你的不求回报，让世人都把这一切当成了理所当然。 

感谢，这么多年来的披星戴月。感谢，你无怨无悔的照看着大地。这份差事吃力又不讨好。但你，日日复月月，月月复年年地任劳任怨。有时，还换来了人们地抱怨，人们的嫌弃。

我，不嫌弃你，我喜欢你。因为你每每都带给我一种莫名其妙地似曾相识。我们对彼此的认识似乎都尽在不言中，似乎能不言而喻。或许也是因为你都知道我所有的“所思梦”，才会让我感觉到你如此地亲切。  

今夜的你让我感慨万千。这应该就是所谓的“感时花溅泪，恨别鸟惊心” 了吧。

What’s next?

After slogging for 4 years in law school, i find my life as empty as it can be. I’m still lost or for that matter, even more so after that. I never wanted to practice, I wanted something exciting, something meaningful, something that could challenge myself to always stay open to new insights and never to be blindsided and/or to be desensitised by precedents and normalities of life. I wanted myself to always be ready to “learn and unlearned” when the circumstances call for it. I wanted these. No, I craved for these and in fact, I still do. I don’t want to be bolted down to an office desk and chair, reading and writing cases, copying from samples or drafting similar affidavits again and again every other day. I want field experiences, I want experiences that change my life, I want experiences that can make me want to be a better person than I was. So what’s next? I don’t know. Come to think of it, it might even be a good idea if I flunk my finals. It could prolly give me an opportunity to choose again and if I can choose, I might not choose law. I might go for something that has a stronger anthropological element. What’s next? Maybe a time machine?

Saw someone with a crimson red hoodie.. a little regretful i didn’t go for the summer course in 2016 when I had the recommendation letter ... not sure if it is still valid next year or sumthing... #LeSigh

Waking up to see tweets and news like this once again affirmed my beliefs that (1) ground work is (most of the time) more important than sitting in air conditioned offices doing corporate work. You get to witness first hand the dark side of politics in action and more importantly, you get to help the people affected by the vile decisions made by the very ones holding offices. (2) That it is important to really strive in one's education to make himself or herself useful by getting into positions where he or she is able to affect and stop (if need be) such atrocities. I am aghast by the what's taking place in #aleppo and as the city continues to burn in ruins, so will my heart be wrenched. I am nonetheless extremely perturbed by the fact that the UN Secretary General is actually "alarmed" by the reports on what is happening in Aleppo. I hope the #unsecuritycouncil do more than just playing the blame-game and starts evacuating the people of Aleppo now, or if they are capable enough, get Russia to stand down.
