update: no she is not based. i have to find another. i had a dental cleaning yesterday & her attitude was a total 180 from my first 2 appointments. she made sure to lmk how tired she was multiple times, making me feel like a burden.
she was sloppy and got so much water on my face that it was dripping down my neck. she didn't stop for a second, it was beyond rushed. she skipped the manual scraping and flossing afterwards too. short cuts were taken to "make it go by faster" (her words not mine).
she barely cleaned my wisdom tooth, 99.9% sure it's bc she was tired and skipped it bc she already made up her mind on removing it.
she said "the wisdom tooth needs to go" & said i also needed 3 fillings, w absolutely zero explanation as to why i needed these procedures. i could've asked but her negative attitude made me too uncomfortable to ask for details as i already felt like enough of a burden.
she scheduled an appointment for 3 fillings & another extraction on the same day. they don't have nitrous, and she didn't even prescribe xanax this time.
im glad she didn't bc im not going back, she's crazy if she genuinely believes im gonna let her drill into 3 teeth and extract another on the same day w zero form of sedation or explanation.
i emailed them for a copy of my x-rays so i can get a 2nd opinion from another dentist who offers free exams. then cancelling my appointment after i receive them, and im gonna be honest and tell them why.
why it's so hard to find an ethical dentist like holy shit.
***update**** I GOT MY X-RAYS THEY ARE SO BLURRY AND I CANCELLED MY APPOINTMENT TELLING THEM THEY GAVE NO EXPLANATION AND OVER EMAIL THEY SAID 4 FILLINGS LIKE WHAT
at least my new dentist is based and gave me xanax, 2mg was a joke tho i ended up taking 7mg. look at that shit.. there's more infection than root. super upsetting
