remaking this post to try to keep the important info in the op
i am multiply disabled + have a lot of stress related triggers for chronic pain and post exertional malaise which prevents me from working. thusly, i am entirely reliant on community aid to stay housed and fed. I'm setting a goal of $1500 to cover the following:
rent - $600
credit card balance - $655
the remainder will be put towards savings for a financial cushion in case of a housing emergency or if my health takes a nosedive
this is incredibly important because i am estranged from abusive family and i do not have a local support network. my girlfriend is in a similar situation and neither of us can afford to fall ill or be injured. she and i are very socially isolated due to being a trans woman and a disabled woc, respectively. being able to afford my housing and necessities as a chronically ill person with dynamic needs allows me to have more energy to be an emotional + social support to my beloved.
(her birthday month is March and I'd love to be able to afford gifts and/or to take her out on a date 💗)
i need to have rent set aside asap since i have many other expenses, such as paying off my credit card balance, buying groceries and ordering food when i am unable to prepare it myself, new clothes due to weight fluctuations...
