I always hate seeing Sett fans/haters being upset that his beta versions aren't cannon
Like "OMG he could've been a cool robot?" Or "HE WAS SUPPOSED TO BE AN ASPECT!!" and complain about him being just a dude while I like him BECAUSE he's just a dude ❤️
To me whole point of Sett's appeal is that he's simple, there is no 50 page long lore, what you see is what you get and I think that's AWESOME.
His "not just a dude" lore is also something we already have and it's called "Spirit Blossom Sett" which is just a rewrite of his current lore to something more powerful anyways
And also!!! The young immortal/long lived is something I really love seeing!! Like it's always the 500+ year old beings that saw everything but Sett is most probably in his 30's at MOST and I think that's wonderful. He's still (in a way) new to a world compared to other vastaya and I definitely love his description of his young years like it was yesterday! And honestly I kinda wonder how his aging would work as a half human. But he's more vastaya than human so I think he should have a lifespan of one too? Anyways I just really love Sett and I'm done with people complaining that he's not (for example) like Asol or something.
He's just a dude, but he's my favorite dude ❤️

dress-up game event !!
to celebrate my blog's second anniversary, i'm hosting an event where you guys can dress up golden petals in any outfit you can imagine! more info below the cut :3c
❦. for this event, you guys can dress up golden petals in whatever outfits you would like! this could be two outfits, one for each of them or just one for either claude or catalina
❦. to participate in this event, you can either send in your outfit submission through my ask box, reblog, or dm! whatever you find is most convenient for you, i don't mind
❦. i'll then draw the golden petals cheebs in your chosen outfit! you can specify whether you want to see their academy or timeskip selves in your outfit
❦. these outfits can be practically anything! some examples are outfit swaps, fe dlc outfits, pajamas, etc. i only ask that you do give me a reference or something i can easily search a reference for like an existing outfit!
❦. i don't want to do too much of my own designing for this since it would be v time consuming. if you do send an ask like this, i can't promise i'll get to it
❦. the references can come from anywhere! can be irl pics of clothes, picrew outfits, outfits from other media, or even your own mock ups
❦. for now, i'm only accepting submissions until april 18th! i might extend the submission period depending on the number of submissions i get we'll see
❦. also i'm allowing multiple submissions per person! this might change if i get too overwhelmed but hopefully not hehe

cake anon’s 2nd birthday !!
it’s officially been two years since i started this blog! i still can't believe that i've come so far with all this, but thank you all for supporting me throughout the way ;w; cakeiversary celebrations will begin tomorrow!
❦. i can't believe it's already been two years since starting this blog ugh it's really so crazy to me
❦. cake anon has been such a fun thing to be, she's a creative outlet that i've just never had before so she's just so special to me
❦. i feel myself pushing myself and my art forward more than ever simply to make the best that i possibly can for golden petals and i feel like i'm better for it :,]
❦. and omg golden petals.. what a joy it is to watch them grow
❦. there's a reason why i portray them as a music box here, i could watch them spin and dance in the palm of my hand for what feels like forever hehe
❦. also catalina von fire emblem, ruler of my heart.. i've said this before but she's taught to love a lot of aspects about myself
❦. i could even tell from drawing this cakeiversary art, last year's art i made cake anon so much paler than i actually am so ty catalina for teaching me that i don't need to whitewash myself to like how i look haha
❦. i feel like i've talked so much and haven't even mentioned all the wonderful friends i've made through cake anon wahhh i love my friends.. so much
❦. through both selfship and the fe art scuffle i've met so many talented and kind people that i'm lucky to call my friends

❦. claude’s captions would probably lean towards playful and simple, definitely not overly cheesy, ive seen the caption “dibs” float around and i think that’s the kinda vibe he would have !!
❦. for something specifically claude themeing.. “got hit by an arrow” or something else w cupid’s arrow theming aaaa
❦. also for those leaning more romantic they would be something like “always gonna be you” or maybe a song lyric,,
to add to the blurbs..
❦. catalina gets REALLY flustered but also giddy each time claude posts them together or even just a pic of her on his story from their date
❦. she’s not the most active on social media posting wise other than posting pretty flowers or scenery she sees throughout the day maybe the occasional food pic but after they’re together for a while she feels compelled to post him too!!
❦. she’s more drawn to cute emojis for captions and some song lyrics ooo or maybe just flower names that suit the vibe (did i mention she likes flowers..)
❦. also sylvain comments under one of or some of their posts together with “siblings or dating” — makes claude laugh, leaves catalina MORTIFIED (“omg no do ppl actually think that when we go out together!?omg nononono”)

MODERN/COLLEGE AU
❦. i see them as being college kids w their academy selves
❦. catalina is always really pushing herself in her studies, maybe she would even be double majored so she ends up doing LONG study sessions in the library
❦. claude is there to check up on her though ofc, ryan put the idea in my head that he would come see her in the library between classes to give her food and a kiss and it rotates in my mind CONSTANTLY
❦. claude’s always posting cati on his socials, ppl are kind of sick of it but they’re too cute for them to say anything
❦. BUILD LEGO FLOWER SETS TOGETHER.. not a doubt in my mind that they do that as a sleepover activity while watching a movie they take an hour to decide on
❦. i see claude as being involved in a lot of clubs maybe a leader of one (my gut says chess) and catalina always makes time in her busy schedule to show up at their events to support him!!
❦. they go on dates to the closest boba shop, especially when cati needs a break from her study sessions
❦. catalina gets the same drink every time while claude always tries something new (he lets catalina have a sip hoping she can widen her palette) + he gets a snack that they can share
❦. catalina insists that she pays but claude always seems to trick her into letting him do it, she always feels guilty but claude doesn’t care, he has the money to spend

❦. catalina basically lives the rapunzel story in fe3h, basically locked away in the monastery unable to leave all that much and wanting to explore the world

❦. i love alice in wonderland so much and golden petals fits into the story pretty well too!!
❦. catalina is so similar to alice aaa her imagining up a whole world like wonderland bc the rules and regulations of sophisticated society bore her is just so fitting

❦. catalina as briar rose would definitely want to explore outside the woodcutter’s cottage and the forest and so meeting claude was sort of the perfect gateway!!
❦. claude as prince philip is so nice too.. i wholeheartedly believe that he would throw away his royal title to run away to be w this girl he met in the woods over someone he’s been betrothed to since birth.. it makes sense to me

Thinking about sad Sylvain stuff.
Like, Heather is not recruitable for Crimson flower route. Sylvain is. So my evil little brain started storming.
Post war he'd joke that she should join the Black eagles too so they will be in the same class without either of them having to take the other one in therefore it's the most fair option. And with how much pressure on the house Hubert and Edelgard put she'd be like "nah, I think I'm good" so they'd still just laugh it off and be alright with the little house rivalry.
Then things get difficult.
Sylvain would be hesitant about everything that's been going on, wondering if he made the right choice following Byleth (and with that Edelgard). It just seemed so pointless. Not only his faith in Dimitri would falter but even after Dimitri's death his doubts would just be stronger. He'd just translate it as a shock from what happened and all but things would be different when he'd fight Heather.
Even in fight to the death she'd still crack jokes and be herself. Not mad at Sylvain at all for siding with Edelgard. Not mad at them separating. Not mad at the fact that his weapon was pointed at her.
His biggest regret would be making that strike connect. He didn't want to, he had to. But in face of her death he would ignore everything around them to hug her one last time. Her last words being "Sylvain... I've always..." And he wouldn't know what came after that. He could only wonder what she wanted to say.
He'd become snappy. Whenever anyone tried to talk to him about what happened he'd just make a sarcastic comment and ignore the person altogether. He made the wrong choice, and it was too bad that he realized it only after he lost everyone important to him.

@resident-cake-anon I tried to make it look like it but her voice was very much cracking when she did the awooo. AND YEAH I LOVE THE CLOSED EYES SO MUCH... I'd give that to Heather too but I ended up not going for it 😔 if I went for pink hair+ closed eyes Heather I would definitely write her and Hilda's supports about them pretending to be sisters because they're so alike though!
