'well they want to die so its fine' do you realise how heartbreaking that is, especially for someone who has been suicidal/is still struggling with it, to see a character who suffered so much and genuinely wanted to die, not be given the chance to heal and grow old?? sorry for wanting to see someone with a suicidal mindset move past that and live a long happy life. fuck me i guess

WHAT DO YOU MEAN “the crew loves you” no they do not. no they don’t! ed tortured them and tried to kill them and tried to get them to kill each other and the crew has never actually had the opportunity to see who ed really is!!!

the crew loves YOU, izzy. because you bonded with them and protected them and guided them while ed was on a murderous rampage. they patched you up and made you a new leg and saw you for who you were without any judgements. they loved izzy.

If I had a nickel everytime I got attached to a queer/queer coded abuse victim who struggled to be vulnerable and have a place where they could feel safe, got lots of screen time and in depth stuff on them, only for them to fucking die without ever truly freeing and living away from the abuse they faced, I'd have two nickels.

that izzy and wee john scene is SO important to me because izzy doesn't understand at first. as someone who's repressed and has made fun of men partaking in more feminine things he's confused, but when wee john explains it to him, breaks what he's doing down, he's like oh. maybe this is what i like. maybe this is what i've been missing. maybe this is who i am. and to see him feeling such queer joy, being supported by the crew, makes me lose it he deserves this

The fact we haven’t seen a single Ed and Izzy interaction since ep2 has me so tense btw. What has this got to be building up to I am dying. Izzy learned ed was still alive and immediately avoided the rest of the crew to get piss drunk alone, and the only time he’s been on screen with ed since he’s not even in front of him like the rest of the crew, but off to the side on the railing. Literally can’t even stand in front of him. Removing Ed from the narrative of losing his leg. Desperate to hear that Ed thinks positively of him/his skills. If Ed has a moment with Izzy like he had with Lucius and Fang I will receive noise complaints from all my neighbors.

something twisted & heartbreaking about hearing izzy restructure his trauma so that he is to blame for it. of course he did this to himself. of course it's his fault. if you play with fire you can't blame it for burning you. it has nothing to do with loving a man who found it entirely too easy to destroy you. it has nothing to do with ruining a friendship that lasted a lifetime. it can't be about any of that. it can only be about izzy hands: a bad man who deserves to be punished because he can't ever stop playing with the fire.
