An interesting question, but I feel doing it this way is more of a "fuck you" to the new tenant. I feel optimal "fuck you" to the landlord would be let them take the photos, then pull the garden. Keep it as barren as possible afterwards. People touring will see it, see the location uglier than the photos, and be less likely to sign. And every moment new tenants didn't come is time the landlord is out money, either over months or until then spend the time and money to either refill the garden or, at minimum, sod over it.

See, this is a tough one.

If you find out you're a robot, you're a machine. Not human. Your experiences, wants, dreams, are now seen through a filter of programmed versus innate vs taught. Nature v Nurture already gets messy. It DOES imply a sense of purpose, but likely as a tool, not a grand design. And if you weren't supposed to figure out, you're pretty likely to be "removed."

The clone situation depends. Taking the Marvel route, if you're an X-23, it's not so bad. Sure, genetically you're just "some dude, but again," but if you've got your own life experiences, social network, etc, then I imagine it's uncomfortable but not fully world shattering. At least not forever.

On the OTHER hand, if you're a Ben Reilly? Years of memories implanted from your "donor," a replicated body with replicated memories living a replicated life? That shits fucked up. How much is you? Is any of it? Do you have the right to these treasured moments and hard-fought lessons? Can you forge your own life from here, or are you doomed to be an echo of the original, a combination of genes and memory forever pushing you in one direction, whether it's what "you" want or not? And how do you react if you meet the original? What if you already did? Suddenly EVERYTHING about your life is a big question mark.

Third option, obviously, is you're a clone of someone who's dead but important; you don't have their memories, but you know who you're a clone of. There's gonna be a lot of pressure, probably really bad imposter syndrome. But I still feel it leaves you more room to be your own person than the Ben or the robot situation.

Yeah, clone seems far worse than the robot situation here to me, but both are very uncomfortable ideas.

The epitome of "kitten dreams of nothing but murder all day" Ppl talk about wanting morally gray women, but can't handle a child soldier who doesn't immediately roll over for the first person who tells her to. But she isn't heartless and clearly cares about ppl, seeing her get to actually have fun in her duel against Yugo was the best, and now with her in Duel Links we can see that in a casual environment, she is also the funniest silly little guy She's awesome and kicks ass for 90% of the show. Lunalights are so cool and one of my absolute favorite archetypes. She is such a badass opposing the Fusion Dimension. She also deserved better and more screentime.

Martha

Yusei/Jack/Crow's adopted mother, also just a badass who takes no one's shit martha, martha, martha. yes, she's yusei, jack, and crow's adoptive mother. but have you ever like. considered martha as a person? considered the fact that she grew up in satellite before zero reverse, and took in the orphans of that event without a second thought? she opened her home in a time when money would have been tight and continued to take care of orphans even after the bridge was repaired. she's also the one who imparted to yusei, jack, and crow to not trust anything given for free - suggesting she gave out life advice to all those kids too. when a cop entered her home, she immediately put him to work and made him clean the bathroom. martha also teased yusei about his crush on aki, showing that she's willing to keep a sense of normalcy even under high stress points. she's such a cool character and she's not really given a lot of attention in the fandom at all. vote for martha, because she's actually a pretty interesting character.

It's Yu-Gi-Oh, man. Specifically yugi-boomers complaining about the modern game. Like, on one hand I get it. Shits changed a lot, it's really frustrating how big the gap between the top tier and rogue decks are. But you CANNOT with a straight face talk about "true duelists" and "honor" and "heart of the cards" then set 2 floodgates, a battle trap, and a stupid monster and say "yes, this is how the game was meant to be played." Or The people that act like the way it was played on the original show was EVER optimal gameplay. The game is a cesspit. It was always a cesspit. That's why we play it.

Ok new game. What's the thing you're a fan of that you're the most pretentious about. NOT the most pretentious thing you're a fan of, I mean the thing that makes *you* act like one of those "oh yeah? Name five of their albums" people. There is a difference

*puts hands on hollywood exec's shoulders, staring unblinking into their eyes* listen to me. you will never get people who hate musicals to like musicals by making your musical less of a musical. if you hide the fact that your film is a musical in the advertising, you're going to get a lot of low ratings from people who hate musicals and went into your movie not expecting a musical and got one anyway. people who hate musicals will hate them no matter how realistic and diegetic and lowkey you try to make it. they will hate musicals even if you completely excise anything complicated, over the top, silly, or even slightly challenging. they will hate musicals even if you cut half the songs. they will hate musicals even if you cast that a-lister who can't sing worth a damn. stop trying to market to people who hate musicals. they're a lost cause. your audience should be people who love musicals. this half-assed middle ground pisses off both camps. just embrace the fact that your movie is a musical. lean into it. don't try and trick musical haters into coming to your film when you could be marketing to the theater kids. better cringe than a coward.

MaRo has posted his Murders teasers, and frankly they haven't gotten me this excited since VOW. So, I'm gonna overanalyze the crap out of it, share the parts I'm most excited by, and probably prep myself for disappointment.

Two absolute bangers, one I love and one I worry about. Clues are that perfect power level where you love to have them, but they don't give you as commanding of a lead (currently, at least) as something like treasure or free card draw. Token decks getting card draw when they're flooding seems nice. I imagine this will be blue or white, which is a nice bonus since both colors also like using artifacts for other things.

The poison counters could be a problem in Standard. While I appreciate that they're exploring more ways to use the mechanic, the poison deck in standard is already quite good (in my experience). We'll see if it makes waves. Probably black.

As an unapologetic blink enthusiast, I was popping off at this. Alesha EDH loves this, it works hand in hand beautifully with splicers in casual play, Serra Paragon (and venerated rotpreist) in standard, all kinds of stuff. Depending on what the rest of the text around this looks like, I could see it being the card in the set that I end wanting dozens of.

Kinda hope it's not an artifact. Color limitations are fun.

A continuation of the previous, I like rewards for playing little guys, but I also kinda think tokens can be hell, especially in EDH if that player gets too ahead. Also synergizes with -1 counters, which is fun. Probably black. That's where most death triggers lie, but I could see it being white or blue, a trail of minor deaths leading to bigger clues, or maybe red. Not sure where reds coming from. Just feels right.

Choose any number of targets players is just fun from a political angle. I like swinging deal and table talk in multiplayer games, so this is right up my alley.

Not really substantial here, but I love an homage to old cards, and Renowned Weaponsmith getting a spiritual successor is very fun for me.

And that's kinda all that caught my attention firmly. The set seems like it's doing lots of weird stuff, and I'm always down for that, and if the last years drafts have been anything to go by, this one should be a banger. I personally can't wait to start seeing more spoilers trickling out, and patiently wait for the day we get people complaining about Clues the way they did about treasure in Kaldheim.

I ADORE the original Sol Ring art, and while on one hand I mourn the fact that it's art hasn't been reused much, on the other hand, the flavor of the top-right one (what I think of as "default Sol Ring") explaining it away is...very fun imo. It's the little things, fam.
