the depth of love that imogen and laudna have for each other is just so insane because it’s so intense that it almost hurts. like laudna loves imogen so much that she would let her go if she felt it would benefit imogen despite the pain and the way that imogen looks at her and says so genuinely to her that she will NEVER let her go. that she doesn’t want the power or the hero status she really just wants her. more than anything.

every episode i think i can’t possibly love laudna any more than i already do and every episode marisha ray proves me wrong

When Fearne used the harness on the shard, Laudna couldn’t even watch. The next time that the group pulls it out, no one in the group even takes into consideration that Laudna is in the same room, Orym uses it, and it results directly in her sucking out the Willmaster’s soul. The very next day, Laudna puts the harness on herself, and uses it to absorb a magical item, and not one person in the group spoke up to say, ‘hey wait, that’s maybe not such a great idea…’

Like honestly, it feels like Laudna had more social interaction with the boat and the rope that she animated herself with a spell that only lasted for one minute, than she has had with all the members of her party combined, over the last forty-eight hours in-game. Her girlfriend has been shamelessly flirting with a bombshell of a druid, who she’s intimately sharing magic with, and is connected to with an actual visible red tether. And the only member of the group who seems to have noticed is the annoying fucking robot that’s whispering in her ear, “Are you jealous? Are you jealous? Are you jealous?” Worst therapist ever btw—honestly, that would make me wanna rip someone’s soul out too. So, it’s really no wonder when Imogen and Laudna go to bed without speaking, that Laudna reaches out to Delilah for advice and comfort.

The whole group knows that Laudna is an insecure fucking mess. They know about her recurring issues of her self-loathing and self-worth. And they know that she’s hyper-sensitive to feelings of betrayal. Like, the whole group has admitted that any one of them could be a ticking time bomb, but imho, Laudna right now is a ticking time bomb, that is just intermittently beeping, and it seems like they’re all just pretending they don’t hear it.

The stress.

yes, it’s been three weeks, and yes, I’m still screaming about the fact that Imogen was at her lowest when she met laudna (was thinking of ending it all), and laudna had been roaming aimlessly for thirty years, utterly alone. No purpose, no reason for living, until she met the purple-haired sorcerer that saved her life no questions asked as soon as they first met, then chose to stick together forever, hold on to each other, sleep on the same bed for the next two years and help each other find answers to their miserable existence- and now, NOW that they finally got it together, got some stupid answers, and actually gained some power over the forces that had subdued them for years, KISSED, immediately- literally nine days into their relationship- the shitty world that they live in decided to make it clear and remind them that their days are numbered (significantly smaller numbers than they had accounted for) and that they won’t get to live their quiet life on a field, raise horses and just be. I AM OK ABOUT THAT. TOTALLY FINE.
