I think it is very silly of you to say Lizzie is tall and wearing a dress so it is ok. A genuinely caring gesture would be try to hold her and atleast try to cover her instead of walking indifferently.
You are missing the point. These are not drastically different circumstances. Tommy is with his wife in extreme weather, in the middle of a crowd and he is extremely stressed. The Russians, cavalry, his family’s behaviour stressed him out on his wedding day just like Mosley stressed him at this event. But with Grace, he instinctively thinks of her discomfort and wants to comfort her. It is not “oh we’re re married/ here’s my coat”. It shows no matter how stressed, anxious or angry he is, she will always be on his mind.
Poor Lizzie struggling to stay under that umbrella, almost crashed into the paps while he walks indifference. And then there is him with Grace, so thoughtful and caring. His darling.

grace n. unearned, unmerited, undeserved favor. [ephesians 2:8];
a divine gift of love or kindness, often undeserved favor or mercy from an all-loving God.
It’s interesting that haters, lizzie fans only love to quote specific parts of Steven Knight’s s5 synopsis. “he realises he loves his wife” and their fav “is vision Grace a saviour? No she is the opposite now.”
While conveniently ignoring or acknowledging something he has said over and over not just in this interview but many others….
Its so easy to blame Grace’s death and guilt to justify his coldness with Lizzie. Instead of admitting Tommy is who he is. The war changed him.
GRACE made a difference and they got to see the gentle side of him. The side buried deep down. It is his “real self” not “fantasy self”. And when GRACE DIES, that side shut down again. And he was back to being the dead man he became after the war.
In this whole circus, Lizzie was also who she is. And she only played a limited part when it came to his emotions. She was there just like everyone else but she was never his choice of a partner or lover as much as Grace was either alive or dead!!! He valued her loyalty and reliability and grew to respect her, loved her platonically BUT NO, he didn’t stop himself from falling in love with her because of Grace or guilt of her death or even some sense of protection!? I mean if he really wanted to “protect her feelings” he would have not used her and played chess with her heart for as long as he has.
I cannot fathom how they can even convince themselves that it was an idea? If we are watching a teenage drama where the characters do not have enough life experience and do not fully know themselves, I can understand such speculation but this is Peaky fuckin Blinders. Tommy is an adult (ironically he has been once since he was a child) heading a family, a gang of criminals and a million dollar business. He is aware of what he does and feels guilty about his wrong deeds. No matter how incredibly sad he is, he knows he has a responsibility towards his family. If he loves Grace, he loves Grace. Thats it.
And I think I know the IG account you are referring to. A certain Mrs… who is married to Cillian Murphy in her head. She knows what he is thinking, why he is thinking, what he dislikes etc because she looks at his photos and movies all day. And no one can argue otherwise. And yes, you are right. May or Charlotte Riley are the best thing that could have happened to humanity and earth and Grace is a witch, her precious Cillian doesn’t like her advances hahahaha she made my head hurt.
Do (some) people really think Tommy’s love for Grace was not real?? She was an idea or something?
I mean you watched all six seasons, right?
With Steven Knight’s brilliant writing and Cillian Murphy’s exceptional acting, you conclude this?
