; A quiet muffled groan came in response so a sudden knock on Jordan's door. Their eyes lulled over toward the entrance of their dorm, phone falling from their palm as they moved to stand; It was a rough day, though most tended to be since Luke's rather messy ending - They wanted to high, or atleast listen to music obnoxious enough to clog the endless stream of social media nonsense that filled his phone to the brim. They didn't care about the trending tags, or the god awful dedication banquets; They missed Brink. It wasn't something they dwelled on, especially now as they swung open the door with a sharp sigh - They had been wearing a muscle shirt, presumably training before finding time to rest between the classes throughout the day, given the sheen of sweat that still glazed their forehead. With a slight quirk of their brow, they eyes met the figure who had knocked, as far as Jordan knew atleast.

In a typical moment, this would trigger their rage further, pushing them to clench their fists and jaw, trying to muster every amount of power that coursed through their veins at a firing rate - Yet their expression shifted, eyes following Homelander as he moved to ease into the chair. They didn't like the mention of Cate, let alone his threats to "keep an eye on her". They were not empty threats, none of them had been from a man with that much power. Jordan steadied themselves, taking in a slow breath as their brows knitted together dubiously.

"Keep my friends out of your shit; Everyone already knows you have more than enough people's boots to lick, why bother adding to the list."

Their words were sharp, keeping their ground despite their tone wavering away from anxiety, to a familar rage. It was much easier to be angry than it was to be afraid - That was something they could both agree on.

Jordan's tone fell slightly at the end of their sentence, eyes falling away from Homelander with a sharp exhale through their nostrils. They wanted to say so much more, mind storming with spinning thoughts and heart pounding - They tried to keep their breathing calm, knowing Homelander would be able to hear their thundering heart. Jordan despised when people knew they could hit a nerve.

"I'm sure you wanted Luke gone just as much as any of the fucked up God-U staff; Anyone who threatens your place in The Seven always ends up having everything miraculously taken from them."
