If I ever felt like a hobbit it was in the last three days. Everything feels smaller, younger and tiny when standing next to these 2,000 yr old giants. You aren't supposed to climb on them (and later realized most are covered in poison oak) but I couldn't help myself. It was like climbing up dinosaur bones and exploring how massive they are. We said goodbye to Seattle and sailed into Bremerton and then drove to Union. Whoever planned ferries for shuttling through the sound, thank you. Best $25 spent during the trip yet.

-33 this morning at 5 am. My jetta diesel started three hours later at -26 with only a few cycles of the key and less then five seconds of cranking. No fuel additives, no block or coolant heater, just a strong battery and a prayer.
