One of my favorite things about the Palestinian resistance movement is the muisc that comes out of Gaza.
Everyone knows about Dammi Falastini. What you might not know is that the singer grew up in Gaza. Under israeli occupation. His skill should not be underestimated. He also sang for a lot of Palestinian resitant movements.
Speaking of Palestinian Resistance. Some of my favorite songs have come from them, mainly the PFLP (you can find a lot more of their songs here twitter.com/PalestineTunes and the specific song here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b6iq4CyHuV4)
Reminder, these people were born into an open air prison. This skill should not be underestimated

i’m joining @ibtisams on her SOLIDARITY HUNGER STRIKE for gaza 🫶
did you know that almost all families in gaza are forced spend one third of the month without eating? did you know that children and families in gaza are being forced to travel and wait for hours and hours just to receive a small amount of water to live off of? did you know that children are being killed while trying to receive humanitarian aid? did you know in 2021 the united states and israel were the only 2 countries to vote that the right to adequate food was NOT a human right?
i personally believe the right to food is a fundamental human right, and i also have never had to fight for the bare minimum of food, wait over 6 hours for only semi-clean water, or been forced to go without food for 10 days out of a month- which is why i am joining beautiful ibtisam on her hunger strike in may. please also look to her post for info on HOW TO SAFELY HUNGER STRIKE
for health reasons i can’t strike for more than 5 days safely but i will be starting with 3 days and if i meet my $200 donation goal for anera, i will be extending to 5 days
to sponsor my strike you can donate any amount to anera and send me the proof (with the date of donation). I WILL ALSO BE MATCHING ALL DONATIONS UP TO $200!!!!!!!!!
it is an honor to be able to join ibtisam in this hunger strike in solidity with the children of gaza who are being starved by israel. it is so easy to take something as simple as food for granted, and being able to show any support in solidarity with palestine is a blessing

Reminder that palestinians don't owe you shit, and that them begging for you to not ignore them is actually not entitlement. If you find a problem with it, the problem is you <3

Reading this over and over I'm sobbing he doesn't care about them at all he wants them all dead and gone and his response to all this is "Well remember what happened on October 7th." He doesn't care about them. I just dont understand why. Why can people be so so heartless and have so much power to do anything they want? I can't stand this anymore he's so evil they're all so so evil. There's no point reasoning with any of them they don't think of Palestinians as real people. I just wish that he didn't have the power to let all this happen.

Please, please constantly challenge and reject the narrative that any region is naturally more prone to war than any other, like that's a characteristic inherent to its make-up, like that's geographically assigned risk the same way an area can be earthquake-prone or hurricane-prone.
There has never been a utopia on Earth and nowhere is entirely free of conflict, but this disastrous scale of violence inflicted upon the SWANA region is a deliberate and calculated effort of destabilization by Western powers who want to bleed the region dry. It's not an immutable part of the contour of the land that its people must adapt to and live with. It can be stopped and should be stopped. These people were once free and can be freed again.
Every time you see someone hand-waving a crisis at this scale as "conflict in the Middle East" it is an abominable tool to dehumanize Arabs to the point where nobody bats an eye at the death of their children.
Examine what that phrase means. What is a "conflict in the Middle East"? What happens in Yemen isn't what happens in Morocco isn't what happens in Palestine isn't what happens in Iraq, but this catch-all term is meant to translate in your mind into "problems are happening where problems are always happening", because of course they are! Conflict in the Middle East? What else is new, clouds in the sky? Fish in the sea? It lulls you into apathy; Arabs are dying - but that's what they do, don't they?
And so three goals of the perpetrators of this violence are achieved. First, they wash their hands from it; they didn't set the place on fire, it was already like this when they got there! Second, does it even matter whose fault it is? Who cares about a dead brown child anyway? Who's counting the death toll? Third, since this is an unchangeable quality of their region, and has nothing to do with the West, why protest it? Why fight for them? Why demand anything out of Western leaders?

I saw some artist sharing art about what's happening in Palestine and saying "I'm joining the trend"
GENOCIDE ISN'T A TREND
SHOWING YOUR SUPPORT TO A POPULATION ISN'T A TREND
PALESTINE ISN'T A TREND

It’s been years and in these past years the genicon that the Palestinian community has been facing occupation for YEARS has worsened the women has to used TENTS or take birth control and there’s not enough to go around, the children boys and girls have been orphan because their families and parents were killed or kidnapped and they are forced to take care of their siblings or cousins, the men who are taken or abused or kidnapped just because of their race . It is sickening to watch people still defend Israel and McDonald’s and stubucks and every other group the helps or donates to the Israel military . GROW THE FUCK UP
And the same goes to Sudan, tiger, and others that are also facing occupation and oppression
Also I don’t know of links to donate but if you do please put them in the comments

“Why are they bombing us??”
“They told us this was a safe zone!”
“They told us to come here, so why are they bombing us!?”
This woman just like many Gazans went to seek safety in Rafah but Israel is carpet bombing it as we speak.
