"That being said, the one source of inspiration most frequently cited has to be John Carpenter's "Big Trouble in Little China." "Mortal Kombat's" main villain, Shang Tsung, is heavily inspired by the film's own antagonist; David Lo Pan, whom both decrepit an old men seeking to obtain souls to extend their own lives." :
Downside: Jin and Takeda don’t meet until later due to Takeda’s existence being kept secret from the rest of the defenders.
Upside: BFFs Jin and Cassie cause all the problems for everyone. May chaos reign!
I have had an idea!!!!!!
Kung Lao, freshly human again thanks to magic shenanigans, gets custody of his 8 year old nephew Kung Jin, and has to teach himself how to parent as Jin makes every effort to make his life as chaotic as possible
Thoughts on what the other Kidz thoughts' would be if Cassie if temporarily out of action for whatever reason and they are chosen to step up and lead?
Out of everyone I think Takeda would be the most experienced with leadership given that he is technically the Shirai Ryu’s second in command. He also has experience with making the quick necessary decisions. All in all he’d probably be the most level headed.
Frost would probably let her emotions guide her. She’ll be very single minded in her goal. If Cassie’s out of commission because of an injury in the field, her first order of business would be to eliminate whoever was responsible.
Jacqui, being a specialist, would not have received the leadership training Cassie would have, given her rank. Not that she isn’t capable of being a leader, next to Takeda she is easily the most level headed person in the room, but her inexperience would be a detriment.
Jin’s original claim to leadership was that he was the most knowledgeable. With his ego now checked he might not be so quick to try and insert himself into a leading role again given how his plans and brash decisions are just as likely to land them into trouble as they are to get them out of it.
