Not Me, 2022
Tumblr media
This is for the hidden activism in our hearts, minds, and spirits. Especially, this is for all the on-the-ground activists who used their voices to fight for social inequality, injustices and oppression.
Throughout the waiting process for every episodes, I was literally scared for all of them. I admit their ways were more dangerous and risky but I know that it's for the great cost, that is. The fear and danger attached to their heroism is a true depiction of the reality faced by various progressive organizations that continue to fight for working classes against the abusive and corrupted government that only favors the ruling classes. This has been a bravery move for the whole team to create something that literally shows how hard is fighting and opposing the abusive ruling class especially that there have been an on-going fight for rights in Thailand. This is surreal and heroic move.
There's this specific scene that really had me moved,
White: If you're through with this mission, what will you do next?
Sean: Back to wearing a mask and fight alongside everyone. It can't be over that easily. We need to keep fighting.
I just had a list of thought why Sean said it. Because indeed, resistance does not focus on a single suppression, it is a symbol of the continuous fight for any nature of abuse. The fight isn’t for just one set of people, it’s for the majority. It is for the good.
I'm not even surprised that this has the highest rating on IMBD for the BL series category. Given the fact that it's an OffGun series, I am surprised knowing the Director herself, is a social activist. I can't rate this for the fact that this is on top. The cast, cinematography and how this series is an open forum for a social and political discussion. Great work!

A Tale of Thousand Stars — 2021
Tumblr media
It's a bit late because this series have been finished last year but re-watching it, I felt so devastated and sad but I'm really thankful for the most part. I don't want to only go through to the surface of the series. This one would be for its strong and empowering message for all.
It’s not about how Tian did everything to make Torfun’s dreams come true. It’s not really about the love that happened to Tian and Phupha. This is not about the surface only. The very important message was there for us to know what people from outside the city, the neglected community was suffering from human rights.
It's about the Unjust and Unfair Human rights. Their Livelihood, Education, Housing and Living.
I remember how Tian was so mad because the livelihood of the community was forcibly claimed by the exploitative and greedy for powers. They've been fooling the people of the community and fighting for their rights which they think is wrong because they only want to enjoy and go-through with their livelihood.
I also remember how easily entrepreneurs deceive people in the community for their livelihood. Tian was fumming mad about it because the people of community doesn't want to fight for their rights because they think they were wrong and fighting for it would just caused more damage. And the very reason of it? Because the people were deprived of the education that they all deserved from learning about the difficulties of the business.
The only school that serves as the backbone of children's education was burned and even their land was about to be compromised because an exploitative person with the power to do so wanted to usurp it.
They were deprived of life that even at the very simple things, they were not familiar. Because they are trained in simple living, in fear and scratches that they have missed out on life is not in how small the world each one stands for.
Torfun was there. A volunteer teacher that knew all about it. She never meant to end her life because she had a strong purpose but death is inevitable. And so did Tian. Tian at first, didn't know what's coming for him. He really didn't know that it's not just about his guilt. It's not really about how he would tell Phupha about it. It's about the people of the community that needs him and his support. It's his love for the community.
I can go on and on and share the things I realized from re-watching this series. Love's not just a thing for someone. Love comes from different angles and I saw how Tian was moved from Torfun's love for the community that he, himself, felt it and reciprocate all.
I don't know if this is how the creators of the series want to publish the story but this is what I see from my personal standpoint. Having said that, I want to thank all the teachers and volunteers who choose to help in the countryside. Who choose to help the ones that are being neglected because they are far from the city. You are all the living heroes that we should all fought for.

Life ~ Love on the Line — 2020.
Tumblr media
This series thought me that love must be true, fought for, gambled on destiny and fight all negative events in life. Love spontaneously goes with the flow of life. In the most crucial time, this is what dominates everyone's heart.
Since the series itself is beautiful especially in how the story flows and lessons learned for the viewers, I guess we can all agree that it deserves the recognition and praises they get from critics and viewers. It doesn’t take a detour for them to reveal their true purpose through this show. I really can imagine the struggle of being in a same sex relationship especially since our generation has not yet fully accepted it. It is true the inherent difficulty in all aspects and showing it to the people around is not easy but blocking public exclusion on the same sex agenda must be fought so that, we can all deserve human rights.
All in all: 10/10. Plus points for giving us a HIStory 3: Make our Days Counts main lead cameo on a Aurora Borealis date. 💖 Character portrayal was executed well. Cinematography really is a chef's kiss.

Until We Meet Again, 2019-2020.
Tumblr media
One thing's for sure, this series will be a must-watch to each and everyone. A top-tier bl series.
I was watching this series when it was officially released. The fact that I’m one of the admirers of Fluke’s acting added to my desire to follow it. It did not disappoint me. They gave us a series that made sure everyone would be involved, everyone had an opinion and everyone should be open to the fact that the issue being discussed here is still happening in our present time.
What I liked the most about this series was the discussion of how the older generation dealt with same sex relationships in the LGBT community. Just how hate and discrimination targeted anyone who practices it, anyone who belongs to it. It's very disheartening. It's sad. The removal of human rights and personal happiness to the person will never be right in all aspects regardless of gender.
All in all: 10/10. A plus points for the execution of the actors who performed because they really did all their best that was seen throughout the series. All of them have contribute so much that the ending of the series pains me because I became so attached to all of them.

malaya ang isip.
naglalakbay sa masalimuot na daan,
nagpapasikutsikot sa kawalan,
sa hindi malaman ang patungo,
kumakaripas sa pagtakbo,
pinipili ang paligiang hinto.
malaya ang lungkot.
naghihintay ng makakasama,
lumilimlim sa pagitan ng oras at tagal,
kinikimkim ang walang umaga,
ang walang sibol,
hinahaplos ang kulay dilim,
at pinipiling tumigil, magahol.
ngunit malaya kang piliin
ang saya at ang lungkot.
kinabukasan ay humahalina.
malaya ang haring araw
na naghihintay sa iyong kawalang isip.
kumaripas ka at ito'y akapin.
