The Iranian Regime is going to execute rapper Toomaj Salehi for supporting protests of Jina Amini’s murder by the regime in his songs.
Iranian activist Elica Le Bon says, “Iranians in the diaspora picked up on the fact that the regime tends not to execute people who become known to the international community. We have seen many examples of prisoners that were either released on bail or had their sentences commuted through our “say their names to save their lives” campaign on social media, using hashtags to garner attention for their causes, and even before social media existed, through getting the stories of political prisoners to international media outlets. Once reported on, and once the eyes shift to the regime and the reality of its pending brutality, realizing that the action is not worth the repercussions, we have seen them back down and not execute. For that reason, this is part of an urgent campaign for readers to talk about Toomaj as much as you can, using the hashtag #FreeToomaj or #ToomajSalehi. Every comment makes a difference, and if we were wrong, what did we lose by trying?”

One of the all time best things that a reformed villain can do is make jokes about wishing they had stayed evil at every minor inconvenience. It’s funny every time. Dropped your bagel? This never would have happened if I had stayed a dictator. Former enemy turned new bestie making fun of your shirt? I should have slaughtered you and your family. Someone tried to tell an embarrassing story about you? I think my death ray is still up in the attic. It never misses

Nice whumpy thing: when people are intensely pragmatic about their injuries illnesses.
“Listen, if I pass out…”
“If you let up pressure, I’ll bleed out. So just, don’t move.”
“I know it ill hurt, just do what you need to.”

@Fanfic writers:
My friend send me this link, is a series on a profile on Ao3 (tumblr) that has different tutorials to insert things to fanfics via html code, I thought I would share bc it’s really cool
Lists of tutorials:
How to make images fit in mobile browsers
This is a tutorial/live example on how to make large images fit on mobile browsers but remain normal size on desktop browsers.
How to mimic letters, fliers, and stationery without using images
This is a tutorial/live example on how to mimic the look of letters, fliers, and stationery (as well as other forms of written media) without using images. For all your epistolary fic needs.
How to make a “choose your own adventure” Fic
This is a tutorial/live example on how to create a "Choose Your Own Adventure" fic. While this has been explained before (see here), this particular tutorial shows you how to use a work skin to hide the next parts from the reader until they click through to get to them.
How to make linked footnotes on Ao3
This is a live example of how an author can create linked footnotes in their work with only a little bit of HTML and no workskins required. This is best viewed by clicking "Entire Work". While I've included the actual coding in bold and italic once you click "Hide Creator's Style", there's a more detailed explanation here.
How to change text on Ao3 when the cursor is hovering over it (or clicked on mobile)
This a tutorial/live example on how to have text change or appear once a cursor is hovering over it. Helpful for pop-up spoilers, language translations, quick author's notes, etc.
How to mimic author’s notes and Kudos/Comment buttons
Anonymous on tumblr: do you have a skin that would mimic the author’s notes and review/kudos buttons section from the end of a fic? the desired effect being that the fic could go on after the “end” of the fic, so after the author’s notes and review/kudos buttons
Here's a tutorial/live example to do just that, with some of the buttons actually functioning. I'll explain more inside!
How to wrap text around images
This is a tutorial/live example on how to align images to the left or right of the screen and have text wrap around them.
How to mimic email windows
This is a tutorial/live example on how to mimic email windows on AO3 without the need to use images.
How to make ios text messages on Ao3
This is a tutorial/live example on how to mimic iOS text messages on AO3 without the need to use images. There's also a chapter on how to have emojis displayed on AO3 as well.
How to make Customized page deviders
Bored with the default page dividers? This is a tutorial/live example on how customize your page dividers with no images needed (though I do show you how you could use images if you wanted to do such a thing).
How to make invisible text (That can be highlighted)
This is a live example how to make invisible text that can only be seen by highlighting the text. Tutorial is included in text, and you can always leave comments about questions you may have.
MOBILE USERS: Sadly, this probably won't work for you, since highlighting in a mobile browser is different than web. I've tried correcting this, but have yet to find a solution.
How to make a rounded playlist
Original coding and design is from layouttest. I make no claims for it, just tweaked it so it will work on AO3.
How to create notebook lined paper on Ao3
This is a live example of my AO3 skin that allows the author to recreate the look of lined notebook paper in their work. To learn more about it, you can find the tutorial here.
Sticky notes on Ao3 without using images
This is a live example of my AO3 skin that allows the author to recreate the look of sticky notes (aka Post-Its) in their fic. To learn more about it, you can find the tutorial here.
How to make deadpool’s thinking thinking boxes on Ao3
This is a live example of my AO3 skin that allows the author to recreate the look of Deadpool's thinking boxes in their fic. To learn more about it, you can find the tutorial here.
How to make newspaper articles on Ao3
This is a live example of my AO3 skin that allows the author to recreate the look of a newspaper article in their work. To learn more about it, you can find the tutorial here.

So I just saw a post by a random personal blog that said “don’t follow me if we never even had a conversation before” and?????? Not to be rude but literally what the fuck??????????
I’ve had people (non-pornbots) try to strike conversation out of nowhere in my DMs recently, and now I’m wondering if they were doing that because they wanted to follow me and thought they needed to interact first. I feel compelled to say, just in case, that it’s totally okay to follow this blog (or my side blog, for that matter) even if we’ve never talked before.
Also, I’m legit confused. Is this how follow culture works right now? It was worded like it’s common sense but is that really a thing?

Yeah I'm adding "I will condemn calls for violence" to my political beliefs
No more punching Nazis, y'all can't tell who's a Nazi
No more guillotine for the rich, y'all can't tell who's rich
No more killing rapists, y'all don't know who is a rapist
I wishing could talk about distinguishing civilians versus actively murderous terrorists here too but apparently y'all don't know what a civilian or a terrorist is either

The demon Bull family is sooo fucking funny cause they didn't have a redemption arc, they had a common sense arc. Like they didn't become better people, they saw their strongest member get possessed by a long asleep evil, nearly kill all of them, and literally just went "Yeah world domination is not worth it, this is well above our pay grade, let's open a barbeque stand or some shit."

Anon, I'm not sure where you're talking about
People in israel don't? Say gentile? Because they usually talk in Hebrew and it's not a hebrew word???
I have never heard anyone use the word gentile in a Hebrew sentence. We absolutely say "goy", and it isn't meant in a bad way(expect with idiots who think any goy is bad, and then I'm sorry but them calling you "non-jewish"? Is literally not any better)
Now in ENGLISH, israeli's have a tendency to over-translate terms and say in english even phrases that American jews will say in hebrew. It sgows more about our fear of being left out and on English and America being considered "cool" then on the meaning of the words they say, which are often SO incorrect in the actual meaning(the translation to Kohen is NOT a "priest" and I'm so tired)
are you Israeli or speak Yiddish? , context is important for that word and ppl in Israel would just say gentile unless saying something with annoyance or exasperation .
I’m not an Israeli but I’m learning Yiddish. From my personal experience, goy/goyim is just a word to describe non Jews. Nothing more, nothing less. Now have people used it in a negative context ? Sure. But is the word itself negative or a slur ? No. (Unless you think being a non-Jew is a bad or a negative thing, which I personally don’t.)
