SUPER HUMAN RELEASE DATE ANNOUNCEMENT!
Stephen Morrow ( @minordistinctions ) and I ( @johnathonolyon ) have been chipping away at a superhero comic about depression, entitled Super Human, for a little over a year now. Stephen doing the breathtaking art (seriously look how fucking hype that art is holy shit). Me doing whatever the fuck I do with words. The goddamn definition of a passion project.
And, thanks to the beautiful creature that is boy Roland ( @boyroland ), it is now lettered (entirely by hand, because he’s a fucking beast) and ready to ship. Specifically, to your computer screens. Because we’ll be releasing it… in its entirety… on tumblr… for free… on…

Well, champs, it’s that time of year again - it’s the holidays!
… if that wasn’t stressful enough, I recently learned I’ll be laid off on December 23, and may not have another contract until as-early-as the end December, or as-late-as the end of February. Eesh.
So I need your help!
“My help??” you ask, throwing your hand to your chest in an appropriate amount of concern, “Whatever could I do to help, my fellow Tumblr.com user??”
Well, comrade, you have two options!
1) You can buy a $15 black and white (or $25 colour) bust commission! If you ask real nice, I could even have it done before your celebrated holiday of choice so you can use it as a gift! Think of how stoked your grandmama/pop-pop/parental unit would be to receive a special drawing of David Tennant, probably their favourite relative, news anchor, and/or D&D character! Or you can treat yo’self, and get your own drawing of David Tennant, probably whomsoever you wish! Sounds neat, right??
2) If you haven’t a dime to spare in this economy, you can also help me out by spreading the word of my commissions by reblogging, posting to Twitter (or retweeting), or posting to your favourite social media site! I don’t mind you posting this anywhere, so long as it’s appropriate, follow’s the site’s/group’s rules, and you say something real nice about me. ///U3U///

Well, yes. But that was then and this is now.
To make things a bit easier, I’ve simplified the process by removing the guesswork that was hitching it up a little with the last method. Only drawing busts also guarantees a speedier turnaround, since I’m anticipating a lot of requests to have commissions done by around the third week of December.
“So I’ll for sure have my drawing done by my holiday of choice?”
Unfortunately, I’m only human and can’t guarantee anything; however, if you request a deadline, that’ll make it easier for me to plan ahead. If you don’t request a deadline, you’ll be put into a basic queue, and you may only get your art in the New Year, depending on both my day job and commission lineup.
“Okay, I think I get it! How do I order a commission?”

Reference pictures or a very detailed description (for celebrities, be sure to specify which show/movie!)
Suggestions for expression (especially true for OCs - I want to make sure your character is your character!)
Recommendation for a backsplash - above, the inklings have an ink splatter, but without any ideas, I’ll likely just but in a lace or geometric shape.
