Women are socialized to make men feel good. We’re socialized to “let you down easy.” We’re not socialized to say a clear and direct “no.” We’re socialized to speak in hints and boost egos and let people save face. People who don’t respect the social contract (rapists, predators, assholes, pickup artists) are good at taking advantage of this. “No” is something we have to learn. “No” is something we have to earn. In fact, I’d argue that the ability to just say “no” to something, without further comment, apology, explanation, guilt, or thinking about it is one of the great rites of passage in growing up, and when you start saying it and saying it regularly the world often pushes back. And calls you names.

I'm def working on loving those stretch marks its just frustrating cause if I gain any weight they start up which can at times make me feel like I'm "too big". But I'm not I'm healthy I just have skin that likes to keep track of its growth :)

Shout out to everyone who got stretch marks

Especially to those who were small but got big and those who were big but got small.

And to those who just have stretch marks just because it runs in their family 🙏🏿💕

Literally sitting here crying because no one wants to be my friend.

I’ve lived here since May and have had a job since August and I still haven’t found anyone who likes me enough to hangout. I ask to hangout I make myself available and still nothing. I don’t want to make my husband feel bad about going and doing his own thing but I just don’t have anyone else and I just feel sad. I see the girls who say they would like to hangout all go hangout without me me never invite me and it just hurts. I don’t feel they are trying to be spiteful but maybe they just don’t think about me. People seem to like me but it enough to hang out I guess
