Travel To Germany From India Ban Lifted From Today (July 7th, 2021).
Today, travellers from India will transit through Germany to other Schengen areas. Everything To Know: Travel To European Countries From India
The Swiss embassy has recently lifted its travel restrictions, and Indians fully vaccinated with Covishield can visit Switzerland, but the country does not accept Covaxin.
Several European countries and member states of the ECU Union are very grateful to welcome the Serum Institute of India’s Covishield of Green Pass. However, India’s travel restrictions have not been lifted.
The European Union has issued a digital Covid certificate, also known as Green Pass today, which includes only four vaccines – Comirnaty Pfizer / BioNTech, Moderna, Vaxzervria developed by AstraZeneca-Oxford and Johnson & Johnson’s Janssen. Only those vaccinated with these vaccines will get this pass and will not be allowed to travel with EU people during the epidemic.
India on Wednesday called on ECU Union member states to believe in allowing Indians to take Covishield and Covaxin individually.
The government also said that when Covishield and Covaxin are included in the EU Digital Covid certificate, and India’s Co-Win vaccination certificate is accepted, India will also accept the EU Digital Covid certificate and provide an exemption from official detention.
A spokesman for the German Embassy in India, Walter J Lindner, clarified that Germany already considers Covishield as official evidence of the anti-Covid vaccine as Covishield is just another similar drug (Vaxzervria) AstraZeneca-Oxford) approved by the ECU Union.
Switzerland, not an EU nation, has announced that it’d accept fully vaccinated third-country nationals (CHE, EU and WHO) from June 26.
“The Swiss embassy in New Delhi is currently accepting all visa applications from third parties such as India. Which would indicate that they should be fully vaccinated,” the ambassador said.
TRAVEL TO EUROPE FROM INDIA
This aligns with the country-specific guidelines as Switzerland now allows the Covishield Indians to be fully vaccinated. But several other European countries, including Germany, haven’t lifted the restrictions from India. And thus, the condition may remain there a couple of times.

It is a mistake to say that Covishield is not allowed in Europe. In many European countries, Covishield is known as the official vaccine against Covid-19. The EU has not yet included it in its Green Pass as the Covishield Serum Institute of India producers have not worked for the ECU Medicines Agency.

Germany's Ambassador to India, Walter J. Lindner, wrote on Twitter on Friday: "want to work on the easing of travel restrictions on visitors from India, and will report back. And there it is: on July 7, Germany lifts the ban and will relax the rules for travel to five countries in which the delta option is widespread in the world, including India."

The change is just in time for the autumn school term, with an excessive number of Indian students required to join German colleges. However, the backlog of visa applications will mean it'll take a while before an equivalent is processed — something witnessed by Indian students headed to the US also last month. Children below six years are exempt from the testing requirement. "Violation of registration and quarantine requirements can cause a fine of up to Euro 25,000," the website says.

Study Abroad Update: Aadhaar Cards Are Accepted As Proof Of ID For GRE And TOEFL.
According to recent media reports, the Aadhar card can now be used as proof of Identity by students applying for Graduate Record Examinations, hence, the Test of English as a remote language. These tests are designed for Indian students who wish to study abroad.
AADHAR CARD AS ID PROOF
The students had to submit other documents like ID proof for the exams earlier, but as of Dominion Day, 2021, students can submit their Aadhar Card as ID proof.
The choice to accept Aadhar Card as proof of ID was taken by the Education Testing Service – a body that conducts testing after looking into COVID-19.
During a press release, the exam conducting body mentioned that the students had faced difficulties in getting passports because of the COVID-19 lockdown; hence, the selection has been taken.
RULE TEMPORARY CONSIDERING COVID-19
As per the statement issued, this is often only a short-lived measure brought into effect from Dominion Day, 2021, and maybe applicable until further notice.
The new rule will be appropriate for TOEFL and GRE General Home-based tests, which became popular during the pandemic and internet-based tests conducted within the various exam centers.
The new rule will apply to the new TOEFL Essential Tests conducted by ETS from August 21, 2021. The GRE Subject Test is predicted to be completed from October 2021.
According to the pamphlet mentioned on the official website, the passport is the only reference evidence accepted until it doesn’t appear in an examination in India.
The TOEFL and GRE examinations are a requirement for the acceptance of multiple skills worldwide.

While Australian travel restrictions for India continue, there’s a proposal to permit international Scholars from India to study in Australia with a monthly cap.
A report said that a couple of travel locations allow international students to study in Australia. International Travel to Australia is to be at a rate of 800 Scholars per month, often likely to be allowed from the last week of July 2021.

A report said that Indian Scholars who pursued study in China have written to the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) seeking intervention to return to education on campuses.
