I'm alive and well
Staying on the waters of Djehuty
Breathing the sweet air from the love of Skanda Murugan
Praising the Gods on the course of every day
Doing the priestly service in private devotion manner...
Deeply devoted and proud :)
I believe there are some people on Tumblr who still miss me and find my blog to be resourceful. Hugs to you, thanks for remembering me.
Since the day I left Tumblr for good (followed by yelling of some people that I try to "steal a deity from hindu pantheon), I visit India several times, and completed two full Aarupadai Veedu pilgrimages, visiting 6 most important battle camps (temples) of Skanda Murugan.
Also I took part many times in holy Chariot Processions of Gods. In 2020, I followed the great Thaipusam procession of Skanda Murugan in Kuala Lumpur, and carried the cavadee (I honestly believe that I'm first, or one if the first, russian persons who carried the cavadee for Murugan :)
Sanatana Dharma and devotion to Lord Murugan relieved me. I know that no one would separate me from the love of great Gods... Humans should never try to make artifical boundaries between Gods and devotees.
Djehuty is forever with me, as well as my priestly vows for Him...
Should I come again to Tumblr? I don't know... Time will tell.

Finally got around to some artwork for Yinepu! This was inspired by a scene in the TV adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s “American Gods” with Anubis and a recently deceased individual. I tried to capture the mystical feeling that the story imparted. Hopefully it worked! Prints available here.

The “Saptamatrikas” (Seven Mothers) are a group of goddesses depicted together & worshipped as the source of power (shakti) to several major deities. They helped originate the concept of feminine creative power and are known for being goddesses of war and emancipation. They aide in the fight against evil and are known for their inauspicious qualities. The Matrikas series reimagines these goddesses in the modern world, with an emphasis on fashion.
From top to bottom:
1. “Kaumari”: Goddess of war. She rides a peacock and is shown with 4 arms holding various objects such as a bow, spear, axe, and coins.
2. “Maheshwari”: Maheshwari rides a bull & represents the power of transformation.
3. “Vaishnavi”: Goddess of protection & restoration. She is seen riding an eagle with hands in the Varada mudra position (lower right hand). This hand position is the “blessings” hand gesture.
4. “Chamunda”: Chamunda is the power of goddess Chandi. She is said to be ferocious by nature and inaccessible because of her anger. She hates evil doers and slays them without mercy. Often associated with Kali ma, you can think of her as Kali’s lesser known little sister.
5. “Varahi”: Preserver of the Earth. She’s depicted with a boar’s head, sometimes carrying land on her tusks. She grants boons and is a regent of the Northern direction. She can also be associated as a goddess of death who rides a buffalo.
6. “Brahmani”: Goddess of creation. She’s depicted with 4 heads (like lord Brahma), yellow in color, and rides on a swan as her vehicle of choice.
