Supernatural was a part of my life for five long years. I can recite plots, exact expisodes, dialogu, let's just say I aced supernatural trivia nights. When I say I was disappointed by the ending, I mean I was disgusted, I was revolted, I dedicate my entire life to this show and THIS IS THE THANKS I GET. I probably would've spent the past few days crying in my bathtub in a fetal position if it wasn't for something my friend said to me. I had bought a model Impala a few hours before the finale, confident that it would be everything I could've hoped for, and I FaceTimed my friend after it aired, pissed and ready to throw it out. But they changed my mind, telling me to "paint your impala rainbow". Enjoy the characters, keep your memories, but make them your own. This show wouldnt have existed without us, the queer fans making it our own. We claimed it the second Cas made his entrance and the greatest love story ever told began. We have what we alway did, our spirits, our passion, but most of all- we have our creativity. Claim the show, make it yours, and for the love of Jack, make it GAY. Make it so gay that Andrew Dabb quakes in fear. Make it so gay that Misha and Jensen and Jared are proud of you. Keep fighting, the story may be over but you can keep it alive. So don't throw out your Impalas, paint them beautiful rainbows because you deserve it. ❤️🧡💛💚💙💜

DEAN LOVES CAS BACK

I’ve seen a lot of people saying that it was one-sided and unreciprocated to which I say, what show have you been watching?????? Honestly, I’m genuinely asking. Have you forgotten purgaytory? One and two?? What about “I’d rather have you, cursed or not”? The folding of the trenchcoat? THE MIXTAPE??? THE GOD DAMN SCRIPTED I LOVE YOU?????????? I could mention so many other things, but I don’t have to because it’s ridiculously clear that Dean feels the same. His reaction to Cas’s confession was a mixture of shock and fear, not disgust. He had like five minutes to process all the shit happening in his life, I mean come on, he had three cosmic entities gunning for him at ONCE, his best friend waxed poetic about him (a very repressed and self-hating person), confessed his undying love for him and then IMMEDIATELY DIED. Like DAMN, I’m sorry if he wasn’t the most expressive person ever, I mean give him a break, he is still Dean Winchester, the master of repression. But because Cas is coming back, he has a chance to tell him how he feels and for his arc to come full circle- for him to realize that he deserves happiness too, that he is loved, and that’s too good of an opportunity for the writers to pass up. It’s beautiful.

STOP SAYING IT WAS HOMOPHOBIC

It wasn’t. Other people have written tonnes of stuff about this and I wouldn’t be able to put it into words, but please, for the love of Chuck, cease and desist. That’s all.

I have so much more that I could talk about, but I feel like this is a good point to stop, so if you made it this far, thank you for reading, it means a lot. Just take a deep breath. All of the evidence points to Cas coming back, it wouldn’t make sense for him just not to be mentioned ever again, not narratively, especially because of who these writers are. If it was anyone else, I would be very wary, but I have absolute faith in Andrew Dabb and his team. Destiel is canon. It’s canon. Just breathe, it’ll be worth it, I promise. :]

Part three

Alright back to the show itself. Misha posted a photo a while ago of him with Robert Wisdom, the actor who played Uriel in earlier seasons. As show watchers will know, Uriel died in season 4, a while back. But this photo is very new, and it’s clear that they were shooting a scene together. Obviously, this scene hasn’t happened yet. If they’re bringing Uriel back, it won’t be just a throwaway scene, it’s gonna be important to the plot. And, if you remember, earlier in this screamfest I talked about how Uriel was in the barn scene. It makes sense for this scene to take place in episode 20 where I’m very sure Sam and Dean go to save Cas

This is a bit of a stretch, but Jack going to the empty for like two seconds and then coming back is a pretty good indication of what’s gonna happen to Cas. Jack and Cas have been mirroring each other from the start- from clothing to behaviour, Jack is a beautiful parallel to Cas and every other member of TFW. So it’s not unreasonable to suggest that his quick visit to the Empty could mirror Cas’.

I Finally, just because Misha’s name isn’t listed on the cast list for the next episodes doesn’t mean that he’s not in them. This is a huge deal, and putting his name on the list would completely undermine the cliffhanger and the suspense they want. It makes sense that they would be leaning away from it, because it’s a massive spoiler and when he does come back it’s gonna be that much sweeter for so many people.

Part two

THESE WRITERS ARE FUCKING INCREDIBLE. I apologise for my language but I feel like it’s necessary in this instance. I’ve been singing my praises about Andrew Dabb and his writing team for three years, and they really deserve it. They are so detail oriented and thoughtful- like Rowena said, “everything means something”, ESPECIALLY when it comes to these writers. I think Bobo “Bookends” Berens legally owns my firstborn child after that episode because holy SHIT, that confession scene was perfect. It was everything I could’ve wished for and more. The direct parallels to their first meeting, the way the parallel won’t be complete until Dean raises Cas from the Empty like Cas did to him, Cas telling Dean that he deserves to be saved, all of it made me so ridiculously happy I could’ve been taken to the Empty myself! I know people are pissed about it and I have some thoughts on THAT whole thing, but DAMN! How could you look at that and not see it was the purest and most romantic scene on the whole friggin’ show???? I’ve been on top of this show for three years, and I knew that if Destiel was going to be canon a few things would or wouldn’t happen. First of all, I knew it was VERY unlikely that we would get a kiss. It just feels out of place during the confession, and I feel like if they HAD put a kiss in that would’ve been untrue to the characters and the story itself. We might get one later, but I’m unconvinced. The thing is- it doesn’t NEED one. We don’t need a kiss to see that they’re completely devoted to each other, we don’t NEED a kiss to prove their love. It’s as clear as day. What I’m hoping for is a forehead touch because I’m gay and sad, but I know even that’s a stretch. Secondly, please don’t expect Dean to outright say the words “I love you”. It’s not in his nature, it’s not in the way he was raised or how he expresses himself and his love. He’s said “I love you” to Cas so many times throughout the show- he said it in every “I need you”, in the mixtape, in the beers Cas drank even though they tasted like molecules to him. He said it in the “buddies” and the prayers, and the smiles he cracks everytime he sees Cas after a long time. Dean loves Cas, and he doesn’t need to say it because he has- just in his own way. These writers know that. They understand the complexities of both their characters, and the way they write them is absolutely stunning because of it. Because these writers are incredible, I have complete faith in them bringing Cas back. Like I said, the parallel isn’t complete, and I know that Bobo, and Dabb, and Meredith, and even bucklemming know that.

ALSO, BOBO WROTE THE CONFESSION SCENE THE F I R S T DAY THEY WERE WRITING FOR SEASON 15. This means that everything they wrote for season fifteen was built AROUND this love confession. Just think, Purgaytory 2.0 with Dean’s prayer, the “I don’t know what’s real” “We are”, the parallels to Sam and Eileen, all of that was built with the knowledge that Cas is utterly in love with Dean and excuse me while I go to the nearest mountain and scream for all eternity. Not only was everything in season 15 building to it, this means that the confession had been in the works for Y E A R S. The Empty deal was introduced early into season 14. Fourteen. Fourteen. FOURTEEN. They knew where this was going for years. Destiel has been endgame for years. DESTIEL IS ENDGAME AND HAS BEEN FOR A WHILE, and I can’t get over it (obviously)

So to conclude this segment I’m just gonna say, if I hear ANYONE say anything bad about Andrew Dabb and co. I will personally yeet you into the Empty myself. They fought to give us canon endgame Destiel, and they won.

Destiel: A rant by a very, VERY happy lesbian

This is my first ever tumblr post. I’ve never felt a need to type something up like this before, let alone post it, but DESTIEL IS FREAKING CANON SO here I am, at 2 a.m., furiously typing this from my bathtub while I listen to “The Night We Met” on repeat. I’m gonna preface this by saying it is a very pro-Destiel rant. I’ve been a fan of the show for five years now, and I’ve been very invested for three of them. I can name episodes, lines, writers, and show history off the top of my head. This show has been an incredibly big part of my life, keeping me alive at one point, and I have a lot of feelings to express in this dumpster fire. So, strap in cause this is gonna be a long one. Starting with my biggest point: THE CONFESSION IS NOT A “BURY YOUR GAYS” Believe me, I am all too familiar with the “bury your gays” trope in media. As a queer person starved for representation it has felt cheap and horrible to me, so the reason why I’m still watching this show is because I am 583% certain that Cas is coming back. And in no particular order, this is why: 1) Supernatural is a show with a history of reincarnation. Characters die and come back to life so often it’s legitimately a rite of passage in the show. If my math is correct (which it probably isn’t because I’m gay and can’t do math for shit), Cas has died on eight seperate occasions. I think the reason why people are getting so upset over it is because of the fact that there are only two episodes left, but let’s not forget, the last episode is TWO HOURS LONG. That gives them PLENTY of time to bring him back. 2) Jensen has said that episode 19 is the season finale while episode 20 is the series finale. Many people working on the show have stated that the finale is focused on characters and their relationships. I am a firm believer in the idea that the writers will give us a happy ending, and it has been established in canon that Dean simply can not have a happy ending without Cas. They can’t give us a two hour series finale that ends well without bringing Cas back. Narratively it makes no sense. 3) Rachel Miner is listed as a character in episode 19. For those of you who don’t know, Rachel is the amazing actress playing Meg/the Empty. The fact that the Empty is listed tells us that it still plays an important role in the story, and Cas is inextricably linked to that role. This show can’t have an Empty plot without bringing up Cas and his deal, it just can’t narratively. It would be insanely OOC for Dean, Sam, Jack, and hell, even the Empty itself (we know it loves to gloat) to not bring it uo. They wouldn’t have the Empty make another appearance and completely disregard the confession, these writers are so incredibly good about tying up loose ends (I’ll speak more about this later). 4) This brings me to the photo on IMDb for episode 20 (Please look it up) When I first saw the photo, I literally screamed. In my apartment. At six in the morning. I screamed because this is what made me KNOW he was coming back. This was the catalyst for me. For those of you who don’t know, this barn looks almost EXACTLY the same as the barn from season 4 episode 10, “Heaven and Hell” (Yes, I can name it off the top of my head, don’t @ me, I know I have issues). In the episode, Dean and Sam are protecting Anna, a fallen Angel, from Cas and another Angel named Uriel (He’s important, I’m gonna talk about him later). The Empty has been described as a place where you relive your worst memories over and over again, your biggest regrets. I feel like this would be a moment Cas would regret, he didn’t want to hurt Anna, but he didn’t fight his orders enough to fully rebel. To me, this image is proof that Sam and Dean are going to go into the Empty and find Cas among his memories. Sound familiar to anyone? Maybe a parallel to Michael???? That brings me to my next point which I will discuss in my next post because it's too long to post as one thing!!!

I need help right now.

My friend is being emotionally abused by their parents just for them being non-binary and wanted to be referred to by their preferred name. If there was anything I could do (legal action) I would. They got their phone taken away, social media was deleted, and their phone was snapped in half by their mom…all because our choir director was respecting their wishes. This is bullshit. They do NOT need to be talked to in such a way that makes them feel unsafe in the home. Sadly, their mom said that they didn’t even know if they wanted them in the house, yet still threatened to report them to the police as a runaway if they didn’t get home immediately after school. I’m done with this shit. Their mom will respect me and my friends with our names and pronouns, but not their own child. They aren’t allowed to do any afterschool activities anymore (they’re assistant stage manager for theatre). There are screenshots(Not posting for privacy reasons) where their mom calls them a liar and refers to us as their “so-called friends”. I know logically there are some problems with this considering it’s been like 4 years since the last one came out and Robin Williams is dead.

But what if it was animated? I mean, we’ve seen funny but also serious animated movies/shows before, with How to Train Your Dragon, Wreck-it Ralph, Rise of the Guardians, and others, so we know it could work.

Some shady person makes the Tablet do weird things and basically makes the exhibits ACTUALLY alive at night.

Larry finds an artifact that can make the exhibits alive all the time and the miniatures life-sized as long as they’re in close enough proximity to it, so he invents a thing to fund the building of a small town where everyone can live

Wea finds out there is a model of her son somewhere and they have to go get him.

Jed struggles with his feelings for Octavius. (As a subplot)

A rich collector moves in near enough to the Natural History Museum and Larry doesn’t work there at the time so he comes back to find the exhibits in a night-time war against the collection.

Ahk flirts with Larry in increasingly obvious ways. (also as a subplot)
