online communities are so strange because people slip away so easily. you can be on here for years, folding people you've never met into the fabric of your daily life, and then they disappear, leaving only ghost posts scattered across tumblr behind. or their blog stays dormant, for weeks, months, years, until you're only still following them because you remember that they love sunflowers or they were kind to you when they didn't have to be or the last thing they posted was sad and raw and you still worry about them sometimes.
and sometimes they come back when you least expect it, years later, even, and there's this sudden rush of relief like there you are, there you are, even though you barely knew each other.
there's a strange kind of love to it. i don't know you and i want to hold your hand across miles and time zones and oceans. i can still see the imprint of you in this community you left. you don't think anyone will notice or care when you're gone, but we notice and we care and we wish you well.
i hope you're all okay out there. i hope the sun is shining on your face and you are breathing deeply. i miss you.
friend server has changed our nicknames to various things you might find in a haunted house or whatnot so whenever one of us has a tough time it produces really good sentences such as “keep going you can do it creepy spider” and “terrifying shadow i hope you feel better soon” and “thank you sinister glow you’re always there for me”
my dad was asking about bg3 because he hears me play it, so I gave him a rundown about how it's a turn based story game & I mentioned character romance & he goes "so you're romancing snagglepuss?" and. is he wrong tho
sometimes im like "wow holy shit im being really fucking annoying. i should stop talking" and then i pull out my magic 8 ball and it says "youve always been annoying and your friends chose to talk you anyways. youll be fine" and im like wow thanks magic 8 ball. and then the ogre attacks me
*holding my hat in my hands* well y'see the ppl in the cemetery were gettin all mad about. u know, the grave digging. aw babe don't bite my arm again don't be mad im sorry
not a character who died and came back different or who died but came back the same but a character who died and came back extremely angry that you stopped digging for them
The thing about Timmy Chalamet is that he’s truly a great actor and he even has good taste in projects and he’s not even overexposed when you calibrate for how overexposed all that group of 25-30 year old big stars are……however something is still off. any time he gets cast in something it feels like that movie instantly turns into a parody of a movie. I cannot explain this
i like to think that helena bonham carter is never actually cast in any movie. they just find her ensnared in the petticoat section of wardrobe, add or substract a few clothing layers, re-tease her hair, and then release her back onto set
